Tropes applying to monsterkind in general

• Bizarre Alien Biology: Most monsters barely resemble real-world creatures (if at all), are made up almost entirely of magic, and turn to dust when they die.
• Not Always Evil: With a few exceptions like Flowey, Mad Dummy, Muffet, Aaron, and Jerry very few monsters are actively malicious towards the player, only attacking out of self-defense or being driven to kill the player so their soul can be used to destroy the barrier keeping them trapped.
• Reduced to Dust: When a monster dies, they dissolve into a pile of dust.
• Your Mind Makes It Real: The In-Universe justification for the Bullet Hell attacks all monsters are able to use is that their attacks are manifestations of a monster's thoughts brought into the physical world via magic.
