Keith
An average, music-loving boy who, after meeting Cherry, finds himself in many strange situations.
- Adaptational Angst Upgrade: His mother has been hospitalized for an unknown condition, and he feels guilty about having fun while she's confined to a single space.
- Adaptational Intelligence: After agreeing to the sing-off against Daddy Dearest, he starts having second thoughts about his decision, and recognizes how much danger he'd gotten himself into, in a far cry to his canon counterpart.
- Adaptational Personality Change: He seems to be more interested in composing music than participating in rap battles, a thing which he clarifies he has no real experience in."I mean... I know how to make music and stuff when I'm focused, but improvising stuff on the spot when I'm stressed out is, well, impossible for me."

- Ascended Fanboy: After he gets to sing with Daddy Dearest, who is established as being his idol.

Cherry
A friendly girl Keith met at Rpagio's music store who's much more than she seems to be.
- Adaptational Intelligence: Like Keith, she's much less of a Fearless Fool, in comparison to her canon portrayal.
- Named by the Adaptation: Her name is much less unique than "Girlfriend".
- Cute Monster Girl
- Dating What Daddy Hates: Her father's initial opinion of Keith, dismissing him as being just a "wimpy, shrimpy kid".
- Establishing Character Moment: She politely asks Keith to listen to the song she just made, and reveals that it only took her 20 minutes to compose it, showcasing her natural talent for improvisation.
- Friendless Background: Due to her sheltered lifestyle.
- He Is Not My Boyfriend: She and Keith think of each other as just friends, but her father is adamant that there's something more going on between them.
- Hollywood Genetics: She doesn't have the same purple tint to her skin as her parents, which Keith asks her about.Keith: Well, if your parents look like this, how do you...Cherry: (smiling sheepishly) I'm not really sure. I think it must be a recessive trait or something.
