     Keith
An average, music-loving boy who, after meeting Cherry, finds himself in many strange situations.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: His mother has been hospitalized for an unknown condition, and he feels guilty about having fun while she's confined to a single space.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: After agreeing to the sing-off against Daddy Dearest, he starts having second thoughts about his decision, and recognizes how much danger he'd gotten himself into, in a far cry to his canon counterpart.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: He seems to be more interested in composing music than participating in rap battles, a thing which he clarifies he has no real experience in.
"I mean... I know how to make music and stuff when I'm focused, but improvising stuff on the spot when I'm stressed out is, well, impossible for me."
  • Age Lift: He's a teenage high school student, rather than a 19-year-old college dropout.
  • Ascended Fanboy: After he gets to sing with Daddy Dearest, who is established as being his idol.
  • Badass Boast: During the rap battle against Daddy Dearest:
"I AM gonna kiss my hot girlfriend, and there isn't anything you can do about it, old man!"
  • Broken Pedestal: Downplayed, but he's slightly disappointed by Daddy Dearest's overprotective nature.
  • Establishing Character Moment: He's introduced while struggling to get through a crowd of students (as a result of his height) to reach Rpagio's, illustrating his love of music.
  • Failed a Spot Check: He somehow doesn't realize Daddy Dearest is a demon until the latter tells him.
  • First Friend: To Cherry.
  • Freudian Slip: In The Spook Before Christmas:
"Well, if he's not here, then I'm fine with walking you home- I mean, walking home with you."
  • Hates Being Alone: Ever since his mother was sent to the hospital, he's had a hard time getting used to being the only one home.
  • Height Angst: He's shown reacting with offense towards Daddy Dearest referring to him as "little" or "shrimpy".
  • Interspecies Romance: With Cherry, who's a demon.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Rather than the source material's "Boyfriend", his name is changed to "Keith".
  • Nice Guy: He's a friendly, chill person who enjoys composing music.
  • Suddenly Voiced: He speaks with actual words here, rather than his canon self's "beep bop" language.
  • Totally Radical: When he's marveling at Cherry's home:
"Dude, this house is so big! And there's so many cool hedges and stuff outside-"
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: The Tiny Guy to Cherry's Huge Girl.
