The main hero. A mercenary that specializes in setting traps on the battlefield.

• Heroes Prefer Swords: Gritz's weapon of choice, with his traps being items used from his inventory.
• Level-Up at Intimacy 5: The majority of his traps are unlocked by starting a Bond with another unit, giving an additional bonus beyond the regular proximity bonuses.
• Official Couple: With Leah.
• Trap Master: The "Trapper Knight" of the game, who not only replenishes his stock of traps between battles, but can also develop more traps as the game goes on.

Leah/Princess Filalia

The main heroine. A princess trying to blend in with commoners until she can accomplish her goal.

One of Gritz's mercenary pals.

Another of Gritz's mercenary pals.

• Fat and Skinny: Stockier than his friend, and specialized in defense over speed.

Eleano

A bubbly fortuneteller.

• Black Mage: Her initial form of offense is casting Fire at enemies.

Sho

An orphan boy that originally asks for the party's help in rescuing his sister. He continues to tag along to prove his worth.

• Embarrassing Nickname: Gritz tends to refer to him as Shorty.
• Street Urchin: He's a skilled thief.

Nini

Sho's sister. Grateful after being helped by the party, she tags along to provide them aid.
