Flamefeather

  • Breath Weapon: Breathes fire, just like his G1 counterpart.
  • Canon Immigrant: Unlike Kickback and Octopunch who borrow names and certain aspects from their original incarnations, but are vastly different; Flamefeather is pretty much his G1 self updated with RID's aesthetics.

Spinhead

  • Conspiracy Theorist: A textbook example, convinced that the Cybertronian government is secretly plotting to brainwash its citizens.
  • Cool Plane: Or "Cool Chopper" in this case. He turns into a helicopter.
  • Properly Paranoid: He thinks that the current government is plotting to gain absolute control over everyone under its rule. Turns out the High Council really were orchestrating a sinister mind-control plot.

Clipshade

  • Cool Car: Clipshade's alt-mode is a sleek-looking sports car based on a 1960s Jaguar E-Type.
  • Heroic Dog: Clipshade's robot mode is based on a German shephard.
  • Undercover Cop Reveal: Spectrosynth began working for Ultra Magnus in an attempt to track down the head of the Cybercomrade Sect.

Skullcruncher and Razorgrille

  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: They both resemble bipedal robotic crocodiles.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Skullcruncher immediately begins explaining everything about the Sect's operations after just meeting Sideswipe for the first time. Whose Autobrand was still present and in plain sight.

The Vehicons

  • All There in the Manual: Their lack of proper names and motivations are actually outlined and explained in supplementary material.
  • Adaptational Badass: This may be due to Steeljaw's leadership, but these Vehicons are much more competent than they were in Prime.
  • Aerith and Bob: One them forgot his unit designation and simply took the name "Steve" from an Earth billboard.
  • Ascended Meme: Steve was originally a fan nickname given to any Vehicon who did something to distinguish themselves in Transformers: Prime.
  • The Needs of the Many: They accept being sacrificed for the greater good, but will not serve a leader focused on petty vendettas.
  • The Remnant: They were left behind on Earth after the end of the war and continued to follow Starscream's orders, unaware that Megatron surrendered and the war is long over.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Megatron and Starscream. That's why Steeljaw's plan doesn't work when Optimus brought back Starscream's arm, showing the war is over.

Ultra Magnus

Arcee

  • Action Girl
  • Demoted to Extra: She's the only member of the original Team Prime who does not appear on the show in person. She can be seen among the long list of Autobots blacklisted by the Council.
