The primary Decepticon operatives who appear throughout the story, as the search for the allspark yet again reaches Earth.
In General:
- Aliens Are Bastards: There are very few sympathetic traits amongst them.
- Alien Among Us: Now that some of them have started coming down to Earth.
- Darker and Edgier: Continuing on the trend from the film franchise, these Decepticons are not afraid of inflicting a very high body count if it means getting the job done.
- Dying Race: Which makes the quest for the allspark all the more urgent for them.
- Immune to Bullets: If you shoot these guys with regular bullets they'll pretty much just ignore it and continue with what they were doing.
- Mechanical Lifeforms: Yup.
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Transforming robots who are aliens.
- Shapeshifter Weapon: In the same style as the Autobots.
- The Right of a Superior Species: Not one of them has any particular care for any humans or reservations about killing them as they please, because they simply see organics as bellow them.
- Transforming Mecha: Yup.

Soundwave
- Ascended Extra: Even more so than in Dark of the Moon, serving a very prominent role as Convergence's Big Bad.
- The Beastmaster: Commands numerous beast-like Cybertronians such as Laserbeak and Ravage.
- The Chessmaster: Immediate payoff is not a necessity for him, with him being more than happy to wait a long, long time to see his manipulations finally come into fruition.
- Communications Officer: And not the nice kind.
- Evil Genius: Very intelligent and definitely not a good guy.
- Mission Control: Using whatever information he can gather, Soundwave is responsible for co-ordinating numerous operatives across the globe in order to further the Decepticon objective.
- Non-Action Big Bad: Not once does Soundwave himself ever get involved in a physical fight.
- No-Nonsense Nemesis: Does not mess around or even think about picking up the Villain Ball.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Has these.
- Sinister Surveillance: If there's information out there you don't want him to know about, it's almost certain that he already does.
- The Spy Master: Has a network of spies at his disposal, both Decepticon and human alike.
- The Stoic: No matter how awry a situation seems to go, Soundwave always remains entirely calm.
- The Unfettered: Emotionless? Check. Purely logical? Check. Absolutely ruthless? Check.
- Undying Loyalty: Unlike certain Decepticons, Soundwave is completely devoted to both the Decepticon cause and it's absent master.
Pretender/ Alisa Morozov
- Ascended Extra: While they only appeared very briefly in Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, they're upgraded to main character status in Convergence.
- Beneath the Mask: Specialises in appearing as regular human in order to effectively infiltrate human organisations and garner vital information that could not be obtained otherwise, all the while hiding their true nature as a misanthropic Decepticon. However, Soundwave himself is quite concerned about this trope potentially becoming inverted, should they maintain a human persona for too long.
- Determinator: Does not seem to know when to give up, and will keep going with the mission until they are directly recalled by a superior. In one go they murdered an entire station full of people while looking for the Allspark. This level of resilience appears to be a key, consistent trait as even decades later being ran over and reduced to pieces by a car doesn't finish them off.
- Fem Bot: Seems to have a preference for female pronouns.
- Fragile Speedster: Her small size means that she can move and navigate through human premises very, very quickly. But, compared to other, much larger Cybertronians, she can't take many direct hits before going down for a fight.
- Friend to All Children: At least, within their own species. The spy's first request to Soundwave upon returning back to base being if they could get to go see the hatchlings.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Tends to be quite calm, but if something doesn't go their way fast enough they have a tendency to drop their façade and go straight to murder.
- Hero Killer: Possibly, it's uncertain whether it was them or Inferno who finished off Bill Simmons.
- Multi Purpose Tongue: Turns out the purpose of that tongue isn't just to look creepy or even just to strangle people with, but can in fact serve as a Mind Probe
- No Name Given: Zigzagged. Most of the names they use are most certainly fake, but there is some doubt about whether "Pretender" is their real name or just a job description.
- The Dragon: To Soundwave, being the one to do the most dirty work.
- The Mole: Being one is their speciality.
- They Look Like Us Now: A Cybertronian assassin who can look perfectly human.
- Really 700 Years Old: Their preferred alt-mode seems to usually be a younger human, and, considering they're actually a millennia old robot, this definitely applies.
- Robotic Reveal: When they decide things are taking to long for their liking and finally drop the act.
Incinerator
- Black Helicopter: He is one.
- Hero Killer: Possibly.
- High-Altitude Interrogation: While he may not have had much chance to show it off here, this is apparently his signature technique.
Fracture
- Dark Action Girl: She didn't get put in charge of the Constructicons for being a pushover.
- Evil Laugh: Lets just say she enjoys fighting Autobots a lot.
- Fem Bot: Uses "she" pronouns.
- Undying Loyalty: Utterly loyal to Megatron.
