- Big "WHAT?!": Flip flops between this and Flat "What" based on his level of exasperation.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: "OH YES" and "Weeell" are ripped directly from The 10th Doctor.
- Camp Straight: Quite the theatrical man
- Clothes Make the Superman: He would be nothing without the watch. All his powers are a result of it.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: One minute he gets letters and numbers mixed up, the next he beats you up in a time portal and kicks you into nothingness.
- Deadpan Snarker: When not being a Large Ham, he tends to become this.
- Death Glare: A master of this.
- Distressed Dude: Was kidnapped by Noteleks and kept in his dungeon until Roger had to save him.
- Evil Laugh: Capable of this thanks to being a baritone
- Face Palm: Either that or smacking the controller against his forehead.
- Flat "What": Flip flops between this and Big "WHAT?!" based on his level of exasperation.
- Flipping the Bird: When he can't think of a response, he'll default to this.
- Geek Physique: Very tall and very lanky, complete with Messy Hair.
- Gentleman Thief: Dapper, wears a slick suit jacket and has pulled off heists in the past all because he was bored and for the thrill.
- Idiot Hair: Just look at it!
- In-Series Nickname: TomatoGhost is clearly a name he took himself derived from his real name, Tom.
- Large Ham: OH YES!
- The Leader: Seems to be with Mewtwo and Caliburn either doing their own thing or following his orders.
- Limited Wardrobe: Season 3 onwards had him rarely change his clothing.
- Lovable Rogue: Sure he's stolen and killed in the past (even if it was accidentally) but he's still dapper and charming...for the most part...
- Manchild: He reviewers games. It's kind of a given.

- Suddenly Shouting: Done to catch people off guard and convey his irritation.
- Time Master: The green option on his watch has the power to manipulate time temporarily. Disrupting this though will have major consequences.
- Tranquil Fury: When pushed too far he will become untethered and his rage will know no bounds.
- Verbal Tic: Often starts sentences the same and draws out the word "Well" a lot.
Mewtwo
- First appearence: "Pokemon Puzzle League"
The most powerful psychic Pokemon who was the original Puzzle Master. After losing the title to Tom, he decided to join his gang as a hacker.
- Big Damn Heroes: Parodied in Sonic Forces.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: Is the most powerful Pokemon and yet he rarely does much with said power.
- The Comically Serious: Compared to the rest, his wit is much more dry.
- Deadpan Snarker:
- Defeat Means Friendship: Originally appeared to antagonise Tom but has since become friends with him.
- The Greys: Comes as a result of his grey, other worldly design.
- Haughty "Hmph"
- Leitmotif: Pyrate Town from Pokemon Colosseum
- Not So Above It All: Seemed just as eager to get wine as Tom was.
- Single Specimen Species: There is only one Mewtwo.
- The Stoic: Of the main team, he's the least emotional and most subdued.
Caliburn
- First appearance: "Sonic and the Black Knight"
The fabled sword in the stone himself. He was activated by Tom after he was transported to King Arthur's time and has been part of Tom's gang ever since.
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: Was able to impale a man who fell on him.
- Benevolent A.I.: Whatever he is, its clearly some form of AI.
- BFS: He is literally a sword.
- Excalibur in the Stone: He is THE sword in the stone.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Only grew to like Tom after fighting Ignitus.
- Nice Guy: Easily the nicest and friendliest of the main team.
- Talking Weapon: Naturally.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Initially skeptical of Tom’s skill but was forced to help him whether he liked it or not. Eventually he came round to him.
Roger
- First appearance: "The Trap Door"
Originally claimed to be Tom's "Best Friend", Roger was an informant for the villain Noteleks before having a change of heart and helping Tom stop his plans.
- An Arm and a Leg: Both. First his leg was accidentally pulled off by Tom then it was implied his arm was taken off by Noteleks.
- Big "WHAT?!": Outside of Speaking Simlish, the only English word Roger has said in response to the use of characters in Sonic Forces.
- Dem Bones
- Heroic Sacrifice: Jumped in front of Noteleks' Energy Ball that was aimed at Tom
- Heel–Face Revolving Door: Starts off as part of Tom's gang who then knocks him out and drags him to Noteleks...only to turn on Noteleks and help Tom again.
- Killed Off for Real: Died protecting Tom from Noteleks' Energy Ball
- Leitmotif: This Story is Happy End? From Splatterhouse
- Speaking Simlish: Talks just a character from Banjo-Kazooie or Yooka-Laylee.
Villains
Lord Balsamo Ignitus

- Ambiguous Situation: Was kicked out of the time stream seemingly into nothingness.

- Evil Sounds Deep: Although it is unclear if that's his normal pitch or if the mask is pitch shifting it.
- Evil Wears Black: Naturally.
- Hand Blast: Can fire energy balls out of his palm thanks to his watch.
- Lack of Empathy: Barely even reacts to snapping the neck of one of his followers nor does he react to Roger dying.
- Leitmotif: Twisted Samurai from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies.
- No Name Given: Noteleks is clearly a made up name. His real one has yet to be revealed.
- Not Worth Killing: His only response for not killing Tom? Shrug.
- Purple Is Powerful: A lot of his powers are indicated by purple. This is both a reference to Infinite and it's one of the settings on his watch.
- Villain Ball: Didn't kill Tom, forgot he left the Terror Mask lying around and didn't catch on to the fact that Roger had defected back to Tom's team.
- The Worf Effect: In his first episode, he's able to stop the Terror Mask by simply holding his hand out. In his second he's easily beaten up by Tom and kicked out of the time stream. Justified as he had just be caught in an explosion and he understands the Terror Mask. Tom just caught him off guard.
- You Have Failed Me: Kills his followers for the pettiest of excuses that aren't even their fault.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Freaks out when Mewtwo appears in front of him.

- Walking Spoiler: The reveal she's the Big Bad is both a spoiler for the episode and the game its based on.
