Uncle Ben

    Uncle Ben

Ben Christie

The protagonist and caretaker of TURR. Ben Christie, or most known as Uncle Ben is the host of TURR who often gets into shenanigans with his animals or any other animals that trespass his property. He has been bulking up lately in order to better handle a growing DaBaby.

He used to live in the innercity of Texas with a small ranch which was basically his backyard. He moved out of the city in 2022 to settle on a abandoned crackhouse so that he can transform it into his ideal animal rehab center. By 2023, he has achieved his goals and TURR is now an official animal rehab center.

Officially, the location of TURR isn't called TURR. It is called The Kingdom of The Waco Ranch which houses several member-nations ruled by their animal leaders.

  • Animal Lover: You don't set up a animal rehab center if you don't like animals right?
  • Black Comedy Animal Cruelty: Downplayed example. Whilst Uncle Ben wrestling with Kevin is always a source of entertainment, he stressed that he does not like when folks calls it animal abuse given that Kevin is abnormally aggressive for a Greater Rhea. If anything, Uncle Ben explains that his method of self-defense protects him from Kevin's worst excess and deters him without harming him.
  • Eccentric Townsfolk: Lives in the countryside and battles a giant bird on a daily basis. He is also going borderline insane from isolation, with a running gag involves him kidnapping strangers and letting them die out of neglect.
  • The Friendly Texan: Both played straight and humorously subverted. Uncle Ben is a relatively chill dude in real life, although you won't get that impression if you watch his chaotic antics.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Is very caring to pretty much all animals in his Ranch, even against Kevin.
  • Hulking Out: He has been going to the gym to put on those gains. This is necessary given the amount of manual labour he needs to do to take care of TURR. It is also necessary since he needs those muscles to fend off against DaBaby and Kevin on a constant basis.
  • Made of Iron: Uncle Ben has a high pain tolerance as shown from the frequent cuts, bruises and other injuries suffered when he handles wild animals to the usual suspects like DaBaby and Kevin.
  • Memetic Psychopath: Played for laughs. As aforementioned, a running gag involves him Shanghai'ing strangers to work effectively as slaves until they die from neglect.
  • Papa Wolf: Considers himself as the patriarch of the Ranch and has shown to be quite protective to his animals, even when they attack each other. In a rare instance, we see Uncle Ben drop the chaotic friendly facade and become disciplinary and sturn against Kevin when the bird attacked and almost plucked out Homelander's eye.
  • Sanity Slippage: In play with his Memetic Psychopath gag, overtime Uncle Ben gets more and more unhinge trying to manage his Ranch by himself.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: While 'best buds' is used in the most liberal of terms, this is his dynamic with Kevin in the end of the day.
  • Wrestler of Beasts: Justified example. In the case of DaBaby, Uncle Ben is just engaging in a Kangaroo's natural instinct to playfight, which results in him pushing or wrestling DaBaby as per normal. For Kevin, his natural aggression means that Uncle Ben has to protect himself from his attacks. Uncle Ben stressed that his form of self-defence (using a hard plastic object to lightly smack Kevin's head) is both humane in the sense it does not cause injuries to either party and a good form of deterrence.

The Main Animals

    Kevin

Kevin

TURR's main Mascot Villain and arch-nemesis of Uncle Ben. Kevin was given to Uncle Ben as he was too aggressive for a Greater Rhea. This attempt saved Kevin's life as he was being planned to be euthanized due to his aggression.

Kevin now has a family with Karen and is the leader of the Communist Union of the Ratites, a nation of TURR. Due to his sheer aggression, not a lot of animals could stand up to him, not even Homelander. Nevertheless, his aggression is an advantage as TURR effectively has a perpetually angry Guard Rhea and is also a source of many funny shenanigans with Uncle Ben.

  • Always a Bigger Fish: The Coyote arc is a good example as the lone Coyote managed to snatch up and ate a Chicken...only for her to be assaulted by a even bigger bird by the name of Kevin.
    • This has gone 180 with the introduction of Muscle Mommy, Homelander's 'wife'. Unlike Homelander, Muscle Mommy is less domesticated, bigger and far more aggressive and dominant like an ordinary Ostrich. Kevin picked a fight with Muscle Mommy but quickly figured out that she is not as timid as Homelander, quickly starting Kevin's bizarre and docile Lady Arc.
  • Angry Guard Dog: A unintentional one, but Kevin's pure rage makes him a good Guard-Rhea. It is telling that when Uncle Ben tried to set up Coyote traps near Kevin's area, the traps has yet to attract a single target.
  • Anti-Villain: During the Coyote arc, Kevin briefly became this where he single-handedly saved the entire Ranch from a scared and hungry Coyote by relentlessly chasing down and kicking the poor canine into a corner. TURR only suffered a single Chicken death, but without Kevin, the casualties would have been worse given the strong summer heat had knocked out Poggers and Queen from active guard duty.
  • Ax-Crazy: Kevin is pretty much known as a violent, bloodthirsty bird that pretty much just attacks Uncle Ben anytime he sees him.
  • Black Sheep: Kevin was about to be putdown in his original enclosure due to his abnormal aggression. Fortunately, he was saved when he was given to Uncle Ben.
  • Enemy to All Living Things: Unless it is part of his family, Kevin will immediately go on the attack. Unless its his son Soldier Boy who inherited his father's unfathomable rage and also attacks Uncle Ben, loose cables and even fights with Kevin.
  • Fantastic Racism: Kevin hates anything non-Rhea.
  • Feathered Fiend: THE single most consistently aggressive animal of TURR. Kevin is a Greater Rhea that is known to pick fights with anyone and anything not part of his family. Just look at this video compilation to see how much rage this bird seethes every day.
  • Hell Is That Noise: Kevin is known to make the Greater Rhea hum noise by reverberating his throat pouch. Those who are not familiar with Greater Rheas would be freaked out to hear such a noise in the middle of the night.
  • Mascot Villain: Is this for TURR as he is the closest thing the series get to a re-occurring villain. He is also the oldest mascot as he was with Uncle Ben since the start of TURR.
  • Memetic Psychopath: Unlike Uncle Ben who plays this trope for laughs, Kevin is definitely a no-go as the only one that is allowed to handle him is Uncle Ben himself.
  • The Napoleon: Whilst Kevin himself is a pretty big bird, it is obvious that he is dwarfed by Homelander. That still does not stop Kevin from attempting to bully Homelander on who is at the top of the pecking order though.
  • Papa Wolf: Very much so, even though Kevin can't nest to save his own unborn chick's life, as a father, he is the best thing to his children.
  • Pet the Dog: Kevin might be the biggest a-hole of TURR, but you cannot deny his strong commitment to protect his family.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Is this to Uncle Ben.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Kevin is perpetually angry and filled with rage, which is his defining characteristics.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: While 'best buds' is used in the most liberal of terms, this is his dynamic with Uncle Ben in the end of the day.

    Big Ounce

Big Ounce

A Prairie Dog and the Deuteragonist of TURR. Big Ounce was one of the most famous and recognizable characters from the Ranch and his frequent gags of him dying only to magically resurrect himself had turned him into a fan favorite. He was one of the many mascots representing TURR as a result. He was the leader of Ouncetopia, another nation of TURR until he was usurped by Mr Mrs Ounce.

  • Acrofatic: Obese for a Prairie Dog but still fast and nimble.
  • Big Eater: A running gag has Uncle Ben stating that Big Ounce will eat x, y and z.
  • Big Fun: The reason he was called Big Ounce was because he was incredibly overweight for a Prairie Dog. He has gotten slimmer since then.
  • Character Death: On mid-November 2023, it was unfortunately confirmed that Big Ounce has passed away from natural causes.
  • Deuteragonist: The amount of screentime Big Ounce receive as well as his playful trait with Uncle Ben has officially turned him into TURR's deuteragonist.
  • Egopolis: He used to rule his own nation called Ouncetopia.
  • Emasculated Cuckold: During the Ouncetopia War arc, it was revealed that Mrs Ounce, was in fact a man. During the breeding season, Mr Mrs Ounce overpowered Big Ounce and ousted him from power whilst taking Cringe as his wife.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Another running gag involves Big Ounce dying only to magically revive himself in the next scene.
  • Memetic Badass: Big Ounce was apparently a war veteran who participated in countless theaters across the globe. Him recovering from his own testicular cancer by gnawing at it further elevated his badassery despite the cuckoldry story.
  • Old Soldier: Big Ounce's backstory painted him as an old, retired war veteran.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: He was a Prairie Dog and his "Yahoos" was absolutely adorable.
  • Series Mascot: He was tied with the Capybaras as the mascot for TURR.
  • Signature Roar: Big Ounce's "Yahoos".

    DaBaby

DaBaby

An Australian Red Kangaroo. DaBaby was adopted as a joey by Uncle Ben in TURR. Overtime he grew rapidly into one of the most powerful characters in the Ranch.

DaBaby now stays with his wife, Billie Eyelash, and is the leader of the Kingdom of Babers, a nation of TURR. Next to Kevin, DaBaby is the only animal that will willingly go into fights with Uncle Ben.

  • Armed Legs: His kicks and big single claw from his foot would be enough to seriously injure Uncle Ben if given the chance.
  • Boxing Kangaroo: As expected from a male Red Kangaroo.
  • Herbivores Are Friendly: Heavily subverted. DaBaby is a herbivore, but it does not mean he won't square up and seriously injure Uncle Ben if given the chance.
  • Hulking Out: The most visibly muscular animal in TURR who can size-up Uncle Ben.
  • Kid Hero All Grown-Up: Went from a small joey that could fit inside a baby's pouch to a nearly 6 foot tall, heavily muscled Red Kangaroo.
  • Lightning Bruiser: A fast Red Kangaroo and one of the strongest animals in the Ranch.
  • Mascot with Attitude: He is this for TURR, given his tough boy attitude.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Uncle Ben. Whilst Kevin is an annomaly, it is natural for male Red Kangaroos like DaBaby to square up and playfight with another male. In this case, Uncle Ben.

    Gort & Quandale Dingle

Gort & Quandale Dingle

Two twin Capybaras that was taken in by Uncle Ben. Their popularity soared to the point that they are officially TURR's main mascot which is impressive given the sea of recognizable mascots of TURR.

The are currently the leaders of Capybaraland Pui Pui, a nation in TURR.

    Homelander

Homelander

An Ostrich that was born with sprayed toes. Uncle Ben managed to rescue her and she has been in the Ranch ever since. By later 2023, Homelander is now the largest animal of the Ranch alongside her 'wife' Muscle Mommy (A fellow more dominant female Ostrich) and reside within the Communist Union of the Ratites.

  • Armed Legs: She is an Ostrich, this is to be expected. Homelander is the most powerful animal on the Ranch, and a single kick, even from a teenager like Homelander, is capable of disembowing Uncle Ben.
  • The Big Girl: As the largest bird, Homelander's size is definitely a noticable factor. Towering over Uncle Ben by a foot and she is not even fully grown.
  • Dumb Muscle: As an Ostrich, Homelander isn't the smartest girl out there, but she is the most powerful in the Ranch.
  • Feathered Fiend: Subverted. Uncle Ben mentioned how gentle Homelander is, as typical Ostriches are far more aggressive and dangerous. Granted, Homelander still remains the only animal capable of actually killing Uncle Ben. Not injuring. Killing. So precautions must still be taken.
  • Gentle Giant: In comparison to the smaller but more aggressive Kevin, Homelander is comparatively one of the most gentle animals of the Ranch, despite the fact that she is larger than any animal on the Ranch, including Uncle Ben.
  • Kid Hero All Grown-Up: Went from a melon-sized ball of fluff to a soon-to-be 8 foot tall, 150+ kilo giant bird.
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: For a while, everyone thought Homelander was a boy. By late October 2023, it has been confirmed that he, is a she.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Like DaBaby but on steroids. Homelander is both the fastest animal on two legs and the only one capable of outright killing Uncle Ben.
  • Parental Favoritism: She is considered as Uncle Ben's favourite animal.
  • Rugged Scar: Still retains a scar from her neck and her eye from Kevin's relentless assault.
    Poggers

Poggers

Uncle Ben's residential guard dog and big friendly boy. Poggers is the most well-behaved canine companion of Uncle Ben and is best friends with fellow guard dog, Queen.

  • Action Pet: As a guard dog, Poggers is as active as Uncle Ben and one of the most physically capable animals in the Ranch.
  • Angry Guard Dog: Downplayed. Poggers is trained to chase down and kill Coyotes and Foxes, but he acts like any other regular dog. If anything, Kevin is a more accurate example than Poggers.
  • Big Friendly Dog: Is this to Uncle Ben.
  • Canine Companion: THE canine companion for Uncle Ben.
