Szulski Family

    Wiktor

Wiktor Szulski

Voiced by: Maciej Nawrocki

Wiktor is a thaumaturge who has returned to his native Warsaw in 1905.
  • The Exile: An unofficial sort, with it being enforced by his father rather than a government following the Semecin fiasco.
  • Fatal Flaw: Pride, though perhaps "arrogance" is a better term. One of Wiktor's biggest problems, particularly if you feed his flaw, is that he believes that his powers let him handle any situation and does not know when to shut up. Indeed, this led to several problems for him even before the story: his insistence on trying to intimidate the loan shark ended up with the loan shark dead, Abaurycy and his family destitute, and him being shipped off to Paris, and that's not even getting into how it allowed Konechkin to get his hooks into Stanislaw. It also led to him attempting to tame another salutor, which went so badly it cut off his communication with Upyr and would have led to his death if not for Rasputin. Feeding the flaw can make things even worse, particularly if it matures to the point it auto-selects responses for you: it causes you to get into otherwise-avoidable fights, means Klara cannot be talked down and always kills herself, and can lead to the ending where Wiktor is least redeemable.

    Ligia

Ligia Szulska

Voiced by: Ewa Prus

Wiktor's twin sister and his closest confidant.
  • Fatal Flaw: Subverted with her Ambition. While Flaws are typically presented as character flaws, particularly when taken to excess, Ligia's Ambition is never presented as something "wrong" with her character. Indeed, if Wiktor removes her flaw and subsequently chooses an ending where he doesn't escape Warsaw with her, one of the ending slides has him sadly remark that removing this Flaw has made her unrecognizable.
  • Old Maid: Ligia, despite being only in her late 20s, is considered to be approaching the end of her marriageable age. Guests at Svetlana Rumyantseva's party speculate to Wiktor's face that she is a lesbian, and several letters in her room from suitors indicate that they are doing a favour by courting her. It doesn't help that she wears pants and is both headstrong and intelligent.

    Stanisław

Stanisław Szulski

Voiced by: Paul Dobson

Wiktor and Ligia's father, and a prominent thaumaturge.
  • In-Series Nickname: His friends, such as his former brother-in-law Voronin, call him "Stasio". Those who hate him, like Abaurycy, call him "Satanislaw".
  • Posthumous Character: Stanislaw's death forms the impetus for Wiktor to return to Warsaw. However, he often shows up in Wiktor's dreams.

    Nadia

Nadia Fyodorovna Voronina

  • The Ghost: Nadia doesn't make an appearance throughout the game: she is stated to be living in Paris following her divorce from Stanislaw, and Wiktor can find a telegram from her saying she cannot come for the funeral. She is primarily seen in Wiktor's memories in "Memory Horizon". Unseen No More if Wiktor and Ligia decide to escape Warsaw for Paris, where she is met with a man named Jean-Pierre and invites them into her home.

    Voronin

Alexander Fyodorovich Voronin

Voiced by: Julian Mere

The chief of the Warsaw police.

    Petya

Pyotr Alexandrovich Voronin

Voiced by: Michael Adamthwaite

Son of Alexander Voronin and childhood friend and cousin of the Szulski siblings, Petya has grown into a young aristocrat.

    Grażyna

Grażyna

Voiced by: Nicole Oliver

  • Shipper on Deck: She makes approving comments about both Cecilya and Wanda when they visit the Szulski house, asking Wiktor whether they will be visiting more often and making approving comments if he replies affirmatively.
  • Uncertain Doom: While Wiktor was passed out following the brothel bombing, Grazyna had left the house to get supplies; by the time he wakes up, it has been three days and she still has not returned. While Ligia says that she may have simply holed up somewhere safe, her fate is not clarified in any of the endings.

Salutor: Sirin
A thaumaturge who pretends to be a psychic to entertain the aristocracy of Warsaw and the Russian Empire.
  • Boxed Crook: Konechkin uses her criminal record as Sara Rywkin to blackmail her into being his personal interrogator. She can be easily convinced to turn on him.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Throws plenty of snark Wiktor's way at Svetlana's party.
  • That Woman Is Dead: When spoken to after escaping from the Citadel and finding her Okhrana file, including her birth name as Sara Rywkin, she asserts that Sara Rywkin is dead. She goes into more detail if she likes Wiktor: as a child, she was taken in by the original Madame Samira and adopted her identity when she died.

A Crimean Tatar thaumaturge who works as a doctor and is revealed to have worked with Stanislaw Szulski to form the coterie.

Georgi Antonovich Skalon

Voiced by: Zbigniew Konopka

Governor-General of Warsaw, Skalon rules over the city with an iron fist.
  • Final Solution: Skalon clearly states during his appointment that he does not wish to suffer enemies of the Empire to live, at least for long. If Wiktor is on good terms with Sergei, speaking to him during Prince Alexei's birthday party has him inform Wiktor that Skalon wishes to round up and lobotomize all the thaumaturges in the city.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: While his tyrannical rule over the city is a major cause for several problems in the city, Skalon does not have much personal enmity with Wiktor. [[spoiler:He is uninvolved in Stanislaw's death

A lady-in-waiting at Nikolai II's court, Svetlana Petrovna throws several parties for Warsaw's upper crust.

Sofya Georgievna Skalon

Daughter of the Governor-General, Sofya is a debutante

Criminals

    Abaurycy

Abaurycy Niedzic

Voiced by: Filip Lipiecki

    Javier

Javier Sanchez Villa Conejito Ramirez

Voiced by: Sam Vincent

A Spanish-born smuggler who moonlights as a fighter in the Powisle fighting ring.
  • The Casanova: Javier Really Gets Around and has few qualms with abandoning his "conquests" once he is done with them; it is a major reason why the Gordon sisters want to beat Barszczyk up. Notably, his womanizing nearly puts the plan to smuggle Svetlana out of Warsaw in jeopardy when a few men approach him to beat him up because he slept with their wives.
  • True Companions: With Ariel Rofe.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Dies along with Svetlana at the end of the quest he is introduced in when the Golem causes the pier to collapse while it chases Wiktor.

Danis, Selim, Timur, Pasha

Citizens of Warsaw

    Wanda
