Jean Moreau
Jean-Yves Moreau
A backliner from Marseille, France and protagonist of The Sunshine Court. He was sold to Tetsuji Moriyama to settle a family debt, but left EAU after nearly being killed by Riko Moriyama and transferred to USC.- Abusive Parents: His mother beat him with a belt and his father sold him to the mafia.
- Blaming the Victim: Not only does he claim that he deserves being abused, raped, and beaten, but the other Ravens try to shame him for it.
- Blemished Beauty: Jeremy thinks that, despite his nose clearly having been broken multiple times, Jean is still very attractive.
- Distinguishing Mark: Like the other members of the perfect court, he has his number tattooed on his cheekbone.
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Starts as this, but gets more tanned the longer he spends in California.
- Flowery Insults: A big fan of the most dramatic insults possible.
- Heroic BSoD: Upon finding out that Riko died, and then again when he finds out that his sister, Elodie, was sold off and died.
- Icy Gray Eyes: Which Jeremy finds incredibly attractive.
- Malicious Misnaming: Riko forces Jean to change his name from Jean-Yves, telling him that it was too pretentious.
- Raised Catholic: But doesn't really believe in his faith anymore after half a decade in the Nest. Still, he wears Renee's cross necklace constantly.
- Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Black haired and over 6 feet tall. Jeremy notes that he is exactly the kind of guy he is prone to trip himself up over.

- The Leader: Captain of the USC Trojans exy team.
- Wealthy Philanthropist: In one of his first scenes, he buys a coffee shop gift card for a presumably homeless man and manages to give it to him without embarrassing him.
