Pyotr Danilovich Khrumov is a Russian pilot working for Transaero Airlines, flying freight to other planets using a small Spiral shuttle.
- Raised by Grandparents: Since Pyotr's parents died in a plane crash when he was 2, he was raised by his paternal grandfather. He later learns that the real Pyotr was killed in the same crash, and Andrey Khrumov adopted an orphan to raise as his grandson.
