Allies and friends
Micro
Neri's animal friend. Although capable of taking many forms he generally manifests as a small dog.- Voluntary Shapeshifter: Micro can change form at will to adapt to his environment. While mostly being a dog, he turns his rear ito a seal tail underwater and if he needs to fly he turns his front paws into wings. He still retains his canine head in all forms though.
Neanda
Friendly Cave-dweller who accompanies Neri on some quests as long as there is no large body of water involved.- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Belongs to a race of sapient beings which look like a cross between a gorilla and St. Bernard dog.
- Eyes Out of Sight: His eyes are permanently covered by his fur.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He's mortified by large bodies of water since, as a Cave-dweller, he cannot swim.
King Nemon
The elderly ruler of Oceana.Captain Sharkana
Royal guard commander.- Always Lawful Good: Sharkana does whatever in his capabilities to protect the weak and generally do the right thing, even if it means seemingly defying King'snote orders.
Lady Shema
Leader of the Fliers nation/clan.Lord Lazaiah
Leader of the Cave-dwellers nation/clan.- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: He is the leader of a race of sapient beings which look like a cross between a gorilla and St. Bernard dog.
- Exposed Extraterrestrials: Being a Cave-dweller, he wears no clothes. His fur makes up for them.
- Eyes Out of Sight: His eyes are permanently covered by his fur.
- It's Pronounced "Tro-PAY": His name is actually pronounced like "Lee-zair".
- Verbal Tic: Has a habit of ending his sentences with "hmmm".
Lord Zardor
Leader of the Amphibian nation/clan.- Exposed Extraterrestrials: The most prominent example since he neither wears anything nor has a fur or feathers. Justified as he's an amphibian.
- Proud Warrior Race Guy: Zardor's solution to the threat Galiel poses is a straightforward military assault. He does not think twice before resorting to violence, when things don't go the way he thinks they should and considers his race the bravest fighters of Oceana.
Lieutenant
Lord Zardor's second in command.Mandrool
The Sacred Whale who guards the shrine of Oceana.Keeper of Time
- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Belongs to a race of sapient beings which look like a cross between a gorilla and St. Bernard dog.
- Eyes Out of Sight: His eyes are permanently covered by his fur.
Villains
Galiel
The main villain of the show.- Bad Boss: Very aggressive and abusive towards his underlings.
- Big Bad: He is the main antagonist of the show and the ultimate evil force behind the story's conflict.
- Dark Lord on Life Support: He is confined to a life support system in his meteor base due to his health failing him as the power of his crystal fades.
- Demonic Possession: He is able to possess people via his shadow. He does this to King Nemon in several episodes until Nemon finally manages to expell Galiel from his mind.
- Domestic Abuse: Towards Algar and Moza.
- Fetus Terrible: Galiel's design for most of the series evokes a demonic-looking fetus, complete with a pumping umbilical cord stretching from his navel into his life support machine.
- Galactic Conqueror: Galiel has laid waste to numerous planets, including Bandor, the home of Jobah.
- Horned Humanoid: He has long horns than add to his demonic appearance.
- Living Shadow: He is able to project himself as a living shadow in order to influence the world outside of his meteor base. Until the final episode, this is the only way he is able to leave his confinement chamber.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: He has four arms, evoking the appearance of an Indian god. In the final episode, he holds each of Mandrill's four crystals in one of his hands.
- Shock and Awe: He has electric powers that he frequently uses to abuse Moza and Algar.
- Taken for Granite: After losing all of the crystals in the final episode, he turns to stone and sinks to the bottom of the ocean in Mandrill's cave.
- Unholy Matrimony: According to Algar, she and Galiel used to be in love. It is unclear if Galiel ever had genuine feelings for her, but he clearly views her as a mere underling by the time of the series. He is quite capable of turning on the charms on her when he wants to, though.
- Wizards from Outer Space: He is called a "Space Wizard" by other characters. He has travelled between many worlds before arriving on Oceana.
- You Have Failed Me: Doesn't hesitate to punish said underlings if they fail to bring him the crystals.
Algar
Moza
Small flying yellow mosquito-like goblin.- Butt-Monkey: Is frequently the target of abuse from both Galiel and Algar.
- Heel–Face Turn: Towards the final third he decides he's had about enough serving Galiel due to excessive abuse. He promptly joins Neri's cause.
