    The Bald Doctor

The Bald Doctor

The first bald version of the Doctor, and by far the most serious of the incarnation seen to date on the show.

Tropes associated with this Doctor:

First appearance "The Hand of Darkness" (2013)

Played by: Ryan Hennessy (2013, 2014)

The most serious incarnation of the Doctor yet: must be bummed 'cos he lost his hair.

    The Little Red Doctor

The Little Red Doctor

"Next stop...everywhere"

First appearance/Debut: "TheDawnOfTheDoctor" (2013)

Played by: Luke Newman (2013-2018)

"The military? Oh yes, I know a little bit about the military. It's all lots of silly little soldiers andofficers. Usually it works like this: there's a dumb side, usually because they attack, and an even dumber side, usually because they retaliate."

A whimsy, fresh-faced wanderer with a deep taste for adventure. The charming oddball that pops out of thin air all of a sudden and proceeds to make you part of a bigger world, ignoring the consequences.

Tropes associated with this Doctor:

  • Batman Grabs a Gun: Twice. once, when the Master stabs Megan, and then when he realizes Omega has killed Jess and Lily.
  • Brought Down to Badass: when he gets his regenerations stolen from him as punishment for accidentally releasing Omega from his prison, he just keeps travelling the Universe and battling evil as usual, no problemo.
  • Deadpan Snarker: just watch him interact with his enemies.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin
  • Fire-Forged Friends: he and the Master seem to begin to rekindle their old friendship in the Series 4 finale, much like the Twelfth Doctor and Missy in the Series 10 finale of the BBC show.
  • Oh, Crap!: Pulls a the biggest one when he accidentally releases Omega.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: He's still the Doctor, after all.
  • Shaped Like Itself: he's short and dresses usually in red.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Just like Twelve, he starts the series dressed very smart, with this red coat, grey vest and trousers, white shirt and a black tie. As the show progresses, he slips into various variations but usually keeps the red coat.

    The Purple Doctor

The Purple Doctor

First appearance: "The Final Enigma" (2017, cameo)
Debut: "The Fall of the Doctor" (2018)

Played by: Dominic Greenwood Martin (2018-Present)

''"I feel so... radical! Hm. That's a good word."'

Little is known about this incarnation yet, other than he's taller, more colloquial, has switched out red for purple, and is bringing back the brainy specs. He will be the successor to the Little Red Doctor.

Tropes associated with this Doctor:

  • Forgone Conclusion: We already know that the Little Red Doctor WILL regenerate into this conclusion - the events that lead up to it remain to be seen.
  • Newhart Phonecall: Just what did he say to the Little Red Doctor on the phone?
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: This Doctor seems to go for a purple suit and black shirt ensemble, along with a metal collar pin.
  • The Reveal: He makes an unexpected appearance at the end of "The Final Enigma".

    Doctor Who

Doctor Who

[[quoteright:241:
""

Debut: "TheFinalEnigma" (2017)

Played by: Luke Newman (2017)

"Yes, I am the Doctor; I'm Doctor Who!"

An alternate-universe version of the Doctor...the Peter Cushing version.

Tropes associated with this guy:

  • Canon Immigrant: As far as actual Who is concerned, this guy probably does not exist (though written materials suggest he is either an in-universe movie character, or, as here, an alternate universe version). Here, he's confirmed as an alternate version of the Doctor, with a sonic blaster instead of a screwdriver and a Steampunk attire.
  • Noodle Incident: He apparently regenerated several times since he was Peter Cushing. The circumstances are left up to the viewer's imagination, but they are bound to be extraordinary, since in the Cushing days he was a human with no special lifespan.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Oh, my.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: He's still the Doctor after all...but Steampunk.
