- What If the Baby Is Like Me? Why he was reluctant to marry at all at first, and why he wants Silje to abort both times she is pregnant. With Are he even contemplates causing a miscarriage without her consent, but is stopped by his niece.

- Outliving One's Offspring: Outlives two of his three sons.
Liv av Isfolket
- Domestic Abuse: Was a victim of this in her first marriage.
- Happily Married: Her second marriage is far better the first.
- In the Blood: Is implied to have some of her mother´s artistic abilities
- Like Mother, Like Daughter: Sweet and artistic like her mother

- Fatal Flaw: Restlessness and vindictiveness.
