- Ambiguously Gay: Subverted. He's not actually gay, but in one episode, his obsession over a guy's "nice tie" comment might've been a clue. He wanted to make sure if the guy was being sincere, but it turns out that his remark about his tie was entirely based on sarcasm.
- However, the second and third seasons did showed that he was really interested in dating girls. He starts an on-again off-again relationship with Yolanda in the next couple of episodes, but after breaking up with her, he starts to date Amanda in only one episode.
- Ascended Fanboy: Is an avid fan of the musical Good Witch, Bad Witch, a parody of Wicked.
