The Factory

     The Factory Owner

Willy Wonka / The Candyman

Stand; The Candyman / Snow Patrol

A mysterious Stand User that always appears alongside a mysterious factory that has appeared and disappeared all over America. Presenting himself to varies stand users while they are alone, he refers to himself as neither a friend nor an enemy, but a mentor. However, his mentoring stand users almost always leads to massacres, as he provokes, misleads, and gaslights Stand Users in an attempt to draw out their latent power, barely containing his glee.

His stand and chosen alias, The Candyman (named after the Sammy Davis Jr. song) is an extra powerful stant that has the power to induce mutations in anything, regardless of whether or not it is biological in nature. He can accelerate this mutations, and control what he transforms his victims into. He mainly uses his stand on the landscape.

Tropes

  • Achilles' Heel; While his Stand is incredibly dangerous, it comes with the restriction that it can only be manifested when nobody is watching. As Wonka learns, this restriction applies to any kind of survailence system.
  • Colour Motif; Plum
  • Combo Platter Powers; While Candyman is the stand that definitely belongs to Wonka, he is also capable of using the stand of whatever body becomes his Meat Puppet. Charlie Bucket's Snow Patrol is his latest addition.
  • Cool Train; Wonka is capable of using Snow Patrol, but with the addition of Candyman, it's just as hellish and lovecraftian in it's interior as the factory.
  • Difficult, but Awesome; His main philosphy on Stands and Stand Users. He routinely admonishes his "pupils" for fighting in a "boring" manner.
    • Boring, but Practical; What shows Wonka to be a sadistic hypocrit. For all his talk of the values of Awesome, but Impractical, when the chips are stacked against him Candyman will resort to simple tactics that are hard to combat.
  • Dishing Out Dirt; A simple attack. Mutating the ground allows Wonka to create huge spikes.
  • Eldritch Location; Candyman is able to create these by mutating the floor and walls. The Factory is a particular example of this, being mathematically impossible due to the countless mutations he's inflicted on it's interior down the centuries.
  • Jump Scare; Due to the fact that Candyman can only be manifested out of sight, Candyman often manifests behind it's victims or around corners, leading to many of these.
  • Race Lift; In-Universe, he was shown to be a black man in the events of Broken Jaw, but when he resurfaced in Peach Creek in Highway to Hell, he was shown to be white. This is a hint to his true nature as a parasytic monster, who is using the body of Charlie Bucket.
  • Really 700 Years Old; Wonka and the Factory have existed since the 16th century. due to him being a parasytic entity that hijacks bodies of strong stand users.
  • Signature Headgear; He is, for all intents and purposes, Willy Wonka. Which wouldn't be complete without an amazing top hat.

Heroes of Peach Creek

     Eddy

Eddy Van Halen

Stand; Jawbreaker

An American gambler (re-named after the lead guitarist of american rock band Van Halen) exiled from Las Vegas.

Tropes

  • Berserk Button; Don't mention his height if you value your life.
  • Boring, but Practical; Jackpot powers aside, Jawbreaker is a powerful, but by no means flashy stand. Jawbreaker's limited range and powerful punches means that Eddy's main tactic is to use Jawbreaker to pummel his enemies into pulp.
  • Colour Motif; Hot Pink
  • Expy; Of Josuke Higashikata, being an affable Agent Peacock with a serious Berserk Button, being a brutal fighter with a friendly, goofy side, and having bad habits with money.
  • Extra-ore-dinary; Played with. While Jawbreaker can't control metal, the coins that are spawned from it's punches ARE made of metal, and legitimately valuable at that, and these coins CAN be used by other Ferrokinetic stands.
  • Goal in Life; Eddy is driven by his life's dream to be a King. Deconstructed as the episodes roll in, as his goal to simply "Be King" is far to vague to actually achieve, and his desire to be King of anything isn't so much due to vanity, but a desire to affirm his own worth as a person.
  • The Napoleon; Like in canon, Eddy is short to the point of being stunted. He absolutely hates it.
  • Real Men Wear Pink; Pink is Eddy's main colour scheme, and he even confirms in The World for Purchase that it's his favorite colour. It doesn't stop him from being any less manly.

     Edd/ 2 D

Edd "2D" Pott

Stand; The Velvet Underground

An English Hacker (re-named after lead singer of English animated band Gorillaz) who was hired by Eddy. Although a pessemistic man to the point of being a doomsayer, 2D masks a horrible past. Unlike Eddy, who was born with his Stand, and Rolf, who aquired it through intense spiritual augmentation in Portugal, 2D aquired his Stand three years before the events of Highway to Hell.

His Stand, named after influential rock band Velvet Underground, is a tall mechanical being that allows 2D to manipulate numbers. This allows him to duplicate objects and materials and manipulate dimensions such as length and distance to manipulate spacial arcs, and manipulate the human body by playing with cellular operations, and cause massive destruction by reducing the molecular count to 0.

Tropes

  • Berserk Button; Clothing Damage. 2D has Gymnophobia, and fears being seen without his shirt and especially his hat, and reacts with disgust and fury when threatened with nudity. Doubly so after The Reveal that he's Covered in Scars.
  • Colour Motif; Seafoam Green
  • Covered in Scars; The reason for his fear of being shirtless. From the nape of his neck to his hips, 2D's body is covered in scars resembling complex mathematical equations.
  • The Cracker; One who used to work for the Mafia.
  • Dark and Troubled Past; One explored in the Whole Episode Flashback Playing with Fire and in the episode Get Ready for Horrors. 2D used to work with his then-boyfriend Kevin for a criminal cartel, using his hacking skills and Sinister Surveillance to blackmail and frame rival gangsters. Being then-standless, he was selected by Kevin and the other gangsters to be sold out when a rival mob boss takes control of the territory. The Stand known as Radiohead hunted and tortured him non-stop for three weeks, inadvertantly triggering a chain of events that would lead to his own Stand Velvet Underground emerging.
  • Friend to All Children; Played with. He states he himself doesn't like kids all that much, but ultimately doesn't have it in him to allow children to come to harm, and spends the last act of Get Ready for Horrors making sure no harm comes to a little girl.
  • Good with Numbers; 2D is repeatedly shown to be a mathematical genius. The helps him greatly in his work as a hacker, and making effective use of an incredibly complex and intricate Stand.
  • Lean and Mean; At 6'4 2D is on the tall side, and is quite lanky. He also happens to be an ex-gangster.
  • Make Them Rot; 2D uses Velvet Underground to alter celluar and molecular numbers, allowing him to cause things to crumble away.
  • Shout-Out; His Stand, Velvet Underground, is shown to heavily resemble Siren Head.
  • Teleporters and Transporters; 2D's favorite use of Velvet Underground, altering the mathematical distance between two points, allowing him to instantly skip over folded space, or sending attacks ricocheting off into random points.
  • World's Strongest Man; 2D is assessed by The Candy Man to be the most dangerous threat amongst the heroes, indeed, many of the assassins that the heroes face are wary of and told to target 2D specifically. Comes to head in Live Well, Use Chemicals when 2D is lauded as the most dangerous man alive, after destroying a city block.

Stand; Blueberry Pie

The sole survivor of a massacre of Stand Users that coincided with the previous location of the mytersious factory.

     Ed

Ed

Stand; So So Def

Tropes

  • The Ace; Is repeated lauded as an extremly talented Stand User. His Whole Episode Flashback Playing with Fire demonstrates this to be true.
  • Colour Motif; Duck Egg
  • Decoy Protagonist; Being Ed, it was reasonable to assume he'd be a lead character of his part. He was killed within the first episode of his debut part.
  • Dishing Out Dirt; So So Def allowed Ed to transform himself and other minerals into a sandstorm.
  • Intangible Man; Ed's sand body allowed melee attacks to pass through him for brief intervals, and allowed him to slip through walls and the floor, providing it was made of bricks or concrete.
  • Torso with a View; How he dies courtsey of Veruka Salt.
