- British Stuffiness: He's pretty caustic and snarky with everyone.
- Curiosity Is a Crapshoot: The whole reason he gets tangled up in the conspiracy is because of his insistence on digging out whatever dark secrets Lang has hidden.
- Deadpan Snarker: He's always quick with some sort of snarky barb.
- The Hero Dies: He's heavily implied to have been hit by a car on Ruth's orders at the end.

The controversial former British Prime Minister, who has hired the Ghost to write his memoirs.
- Corrupt Politician: He's been accused of committing war crimes by handing over prisoners to the CIA, and the Ghost's investigations reveal he's actually working for the CIA and had been making decisions that benefited the US.
- Faux Affably Evil: He puts on a charismatic and charming face, but the second he gets angry you get to see the real him: an unpleasant and callous man who's simply very good at acting.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: He's prone to bursting out in fits of rage when something doesn't go his way.
- Karmic Death: He's shot and killed by the Stranger, one of the many people he'd wronged and forgotten about over the course of his career as Prime Minister.
