Main Cast

    Briar
  • As the Good Book Says...: Briar sometimes quotes passages from a vaguely biblical sounding text, citing verse numbers.
  • Emotionless Girl: The best emoting you'll get from Briar is an upturned mouth. Unlike the rest of the cast, she speaks in Rectangular Speech Bubbles and with no bold text emphasis whatsoever.
  • Plant Person: Briar is a Ferum, which is a type of humanoid plant. She appears to be snake-like thanks to the intertwining of her lower body's many thorned vines.
  • White Magician Girl: Along with being the most obviously feminine (ahem) of the group, Briar is also the de facto healer, down to being specifically a Priestess, as well as having some knowledge in medical practices...
  • Word of Gay: No specific in universe mention of Briar's sexuality has been made, but Pride Month art drawn by Modstin specifies her as being Asexual and Aromantic.

    Daedr Fiamo'r
  • Badass Cape: Daedr somehow pulls off a bright dandelion yellow cape
  • Cool Sword: Daedr wields a sword with a large notch in it, allowing it to function like a hook.
  • Experienced Protagonist: Daedr walks dungeon corridors and leads the team with the expertise of a true adventurer right out the gate, later revealing it was thanks to his training during his time in the Army.
  • Punctuation Shaker: Despite there being no need for it, and it not changing the pronounciation, Daedr has an apostraphe in his surname. Sindel specifically asks this not to be brought up if you want to get along with him.
  • The Leader: Being a man of action, Daedr is the one calling the shots and giving the orders.
  • Token Human: Daedr is the only human among The Far Travelers.

    Ifne
  • Barbarian Hero: Wearing nothing but a loin cloth and wielding nothing but weapons, Ifne's berserker rages and simplistic speech points him directly into this category.
  • Lizard Folk: Ifne appears to be an alligator person of sorts, though with various dinosaur traits.
  • Loincloth: He wears one, though what he's got under there is anyone's guess. If you want a laugh, look up the biology of Alligators in this regard, it's pretty funny.
  • Mayincatec: While all signs point towards Ifne's culture specifically being drawn from Maya (Specifically his home language being a modern derivative of Maya), we do not have the full details on his home or civilization, so for now he's lumped into a general mesoamerican lizard-person culture.
  • No Indoor Voice: IFNE APPEARS TO ALWAYS BE SHOUTING SINCE HE NEVER SPEAKS IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Smarter than you Look: Despite speaking in short shouts, when Ifne adds to a conversation he proves himself to be intricately aware of situations and very much capable of intelligent thought and reason. He can also quip and insult with the best of them when the time allows (such as his first encounter with Daedr)
  • The Berserker: Ifne often goes into mystical rages in the midst of combat, throwing himself at whatever is closest to smash.

    Sindel Niabateroo
  • Bizarre Instrument: Sindel's primary instrument, and the focus of his magic, is a Gumleaf.
  • Blindfolded Vision: Sindel states that, though he has normal sight in dimmer conditions, he wears a blindfold to protect his morlock eyes from bright lights (and because its fashionable).
  • Funetik Aksent: Sindel is written with many shortened words or distinct vowel sounds to imitate an Australian Accent
  • Jive Turkey: Sindel's Australianisms are often used as a punchline.
  • The Morlocks: Sindel is one, and matches the Blue Skinned, White Furred, Underground Dwelling creatures from the 1960 Film The Time Machine.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: While the rest of the party may say funny things or provide punchlines, Sindel is often the only one actively trying to make jokes and lighten moods.
  • The Bard: Sindel specifies himself as a Bard, though he used to be a Shaman.
  • The Face: During the intense encounter between Valor, Ifne, and Briar, Sindel is the one to make instant friends with Briar and Thell. His general affability allows him to smooth things and guide conversations.

    Thell Windertrot
  • Endearingly Dorky: Thell is often given oddball expressions and acts socially awkward among the party. When she does start talking, she often goes on at length, magesplaining as much as possible.
  • Our Elves are Different: Thell specifies herself as not an 'Elf', but an 'Alfr', the difference between the two is not yet clear, if there even is one.
  • Pointy Ears: Thell's got 'em
  • The Smart Guy: Thell is the one to turn to when you need to think around a problem rather than bashing it on the head. She tends to know more about how the setting works than the rest of the cast.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Thell prides herself on her understanding of Classic TTRPG Style Adventuring, though it rarely comes in handy when dealing with the Comedic Heroic Fantasy adventures.

    Valor
  • Bounty Hunter: Valor is an archetypical Lone Ranger, and specifies herself as a Bounty Hunter rather than an adventurer.
  • Cool Mask: Valor wears a bandit styled mask across the lower half of her face, though its revealed she has no visible features underneath anyway.
  • Fantastic Firearms: Valor's gun is more than just a rifle, it has imbued magical powers from some kind of run switch on its underside, which can switch between Tracking Bullets, Penetrating Bullets, and Silent Bullets.
  • Living Shadow: What is shown of Valor's pitch black skin is never affected by light, and highlighted by violet lineart. She also claims to have no blood.
