• All of the Other Reindeer: Having been diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger's at 5 years old, he basically was misunderstood by mostly every student in his school years. While his teachers were kind and nice to him, most students just flat out made fun of him for his "abnormal" behavior or simply ignored him. Doomsday basically halts the public awareness of ADHD and Asperger's by a single decade (having it instead become widely more known by public in 2010s). Simply put other kids viewed him as annoying, rude, hyperactive, dumb, or all of the above.
• Asperger Syndrome: He has this and he is very open about it. While it maybe difficult for him, he feels having Asperger Syndrome and ADHD is what makes him who he is.
• Awesome Aussie: If at all he is perhaps the most awesome and badass Australian to ever exist in fiction, or on a less bragging side you could say he is "The most awesome and badass Australian to exist in Alternate History."
  • Not only that but within the TL itself, many Australians literally see Louis as greatest person to ever be from Australia in recent history.
• Bilingual Bonus: He is very fluent at speaking Spanish (and Portuguese) that when he encounters Spanish speakers in South America (especially Chile) they are absolutely astonished that an Australian like him is able to fluent speak and understand Spanish. This is all thanks to him studying Spanish since he was in Year 5 of primary school since he chosen Spanish as a foreign language to take.
  • And due to him being very fluent in Spanish, the ANZC uses him a lot later on to translate documents, writings, messages, and even conversations into English. This helps a lot especially during the World War on Terror since the ANZC nations barely have a basic understanding at the Spanish language.
• Brutal Honesty: Due to his Asperger's he basically is always brutally honest to everyone. Currently now he basically states "If you don't like what your going to hear, too bad!" just to simply state that he doesn't care if someone is hurt by his honest opinion on anything, because at the end of the day the truth is always suppose to hurt.
• Creator Cameo: As many would point out it is obvious realize is that Louis in EDU is in fact an alternate version of himself from the world of 1983: Doomsday. Of course his real life version of himself is American and has basically a boring average life. But the one thing the two share in common is they both been through plenty of horrible things in real life. Word of God states that "EDU Louis was created as a way to envision myself as a more better person than I am in real life, basically EDU Louis helps me by keeping myself in control and not depressed."
  • Not to mention Louis's online alias Grey Fox, is literally a Shout-Out to his username on AlternateHistory.com, which is Louis The Grey Fox.
• Dark and Troubled Past: His entire childhood and teenage years were basically this. If it wasn't for him having a loving and caring mother or meeting Ana he surely would've become an absolute monster.
• Eagleland: Although he was born in Australia and mostly considers himself Australia he does in fact feel prideful of having American heritage. But at the end of the day he doesn't feel patriotic of the United States since it basically is now a nation that is pretty much the "world power of yesterday" since Doomsday basically resulted in the United States ending up ceasing to exist and only being refounded in the 1990's along the Pacific Northwest. But because of so much that has changed since Doomsday, the United States is basically never going to be a world power ever again.
  • And even Louis himself states that he believes that the United States was never meant to become a world power and even goes far to even state that if anything the US pretty much "unable to handle itself" as being a world power during much of the 20th century (until Doomsday). But he does also states that the US did help make elective democracy as a common government worldwide, which to him is a great thing since he literally believes that democracy is the best type of government for humanity.
• Friend to All Children: Despite being mistreated by many children during his childhood, he stills ends up believing in the good of everyone. Not to mention he is one who created the ANZC military operation, Operation: Children In Need (which ANZC nations will transport Saudi children of all ages back to Australia to give them better lives and automatic Australian citizenship), which both the ANZC Conservative Party and ANZC Labour Party support and help bring into action!
• Handicapped Badass: Well to be fair before he became paralyzed waist-down he never really was handicapped (since to him he defines being handicapped as "not being able to work or do basic human everyday things"), but after he was put into a wheelchair after surviving an assassination attempt on his life, he doesn't give up at defeating the Hamas Caliphate. In fact if anything he ends up going more brutal against the Hamas after becoming disabled.
• Happily Married: Well he would've been happily married to Ana if she didn't die in that accident-that-was-actually-a-murder. Interestingly enough Louis and Ana were so determined to start a life together after he graduated Year 12 in secondary school, that they even were planning on getting married after he graduated. After that they would have moved to Canberra so Louis would be able to study there at the University of Canberra, while Ana would get a job. Of course that never happens because the Australian Brotherhood killed her!
  • And to make it heartbreaking enough, they both were ready to start a family together despite being still young (Louis being 18 and Ana being 19). In fact Ana was 3 days pregnant when she died!
• Heartbroken Badass: Even long after losing Ana, he still fights everyday to make the world better which he knows is what she would want him to do.
• Intelligence Equals Isolation: Despite being a very smart person growing up, he was very lonely since he never really trusted anyone for a long time. But then again it can be argued that isolating himself allowed him to become more smarter in world history and more fluent in speaking Spanish as a secondary language.
• In Touch with His Feminine Side: For a main character of a alternate/future history timeline, Louis is pretty feminine and mainly engages in activities that mostly girls would do. Hell he even openly stated at one point that he likes using woman's shampoo because he likes smelling nice and fruity and having his hair soft. He also likes wearing pink whenever he feels like it. When he was 18 and still dating Ana she dyed his entire hair bright pink, since pink is his favorite color.
  • And back when he was still a kid he often was called various gay slurs, because of that fact plenty of boys thought he was gay, when in actuality he always been straight.
• Kids Are Cruel: During his childhood he was constantly bullied and even harassed for his mental disorder. Though not everyone was like this to him, there were a notable handful of people who made his childhood years and later teenage years fell like Hell to him.
• Land Down Under: Born and raised in Australia. Although he always viewed himself as Australian and identifies with Australian culture, his mother Rebecca Howery is quite somewhat opposite since she was an American refugee from the former state of New Jersey which was mostly destroyed during Doomsday. His mother basically migrated to Australia while she was still pregnant just so her son would have a better life.
• Like Brother and Sister: Was like this to Taylor, he saw her as a little sister he never had (and later stating "she had to be my sister from a past life") and loved her dearly like a brother would. He even at times would protect her from the Australian Brotherhood just so he wouldn't lose another person he loved and cared about to those terrorist bastards.
• Likes Older Women: He pretty much is open about it when asked, to him he feels that women who are 5 or 6 years older than himself are more attractive due to their maturity and the fact they don't mostly act like immature brats (which he has experienced a lot growing up during school).
  • Add that with the fact Ana was a year older than him and a couple inches taller than him.
• Lonely Together: When he was dating Ana, she and him were basically alone together in love that to them they never even gave a damn about the fact they were alone. To them they just were happy when they were always with one another eventually to the point by the time that they've been dating for 2 years they couldn't stand being away from one another (well that is after-school).
• Meaningful Name: The name Louis itself is of Old Frankish origin, which is Chlodowig, with "hlod" meaning "fame" and "wig" meaning "warrior", which together is often translated to "famous warrior". In other words Louis literally is without a doubt a warrior, albeit not on the battlefield though.
• No Social Skills: He had plenty of problems interacting with children when he was growing up, but it understandable since how can you really trust any other kid if most of the kids you knew treated you like dirt? Eventually he improves and ends up becoming very good at social skills in his later teens and early adult years.
• Rape as Backstory: When he was in Year 9 he was raped by three girls of his same year and were the same girls who mistreated him much of his life. Basically put Louis one night couldn't sleep and decided to sneak out of his mother's house in the middle of the night just to go for a nice walk. So he did that which at first felt cool to him since he felt somewhat like an independent person. But after walking a few blocks around his neighborhood Evie Adderson and her two other friends spot him and basically attack him. Despite Louis struggling for his dear life, they manage to hold him down and go behind a bunch of bushes where it ends up resulting in Double Standard Rape: Female on Male.
  • And when they were done Evie literally tells him that "If you tell anyone even your mum, we will kill you and her", which of course traumatizes him since his mother was the only family he has. So as a result he ends up being completely silent about it for years until he ends up coming across her once again while in Chile where it turns out she was recruited by the Hamas Caliphate to assassinate him, and she wanted to do it just so he could be dead believing that as long Louis was alive her life was "incomplete". Thankfully she fails to kill him, but manages to paralyze him from waist-down.
    • Which of course results in Louis doing a "Reason You Suck" Speech in front of his friend Bobby, while she was now under Chilean police custody.
• Relationship Upgrade: By the time Louis is in Year 12 of Woodsville High School, he begins to start living at Ana's house (surprisingly since her mother completely trusted him by that point) just so he could be with her everyday. When that happens his mother at first was a bit uneasy by it, but trusted her son anyway due to him and Ana being happy together. Not to mention he often was sleeping with her in her bed (sharing a bed to be precise).
  • And funny enough whenever Ana drove him to school in the morning, he surely had a lot of people in his grade questioning their relationship status, and a handful of girls were absolutely jealous that he was basically now living with his girlfriend.
    • In Ana's own words she stated that having him live with her on weekdays would help prepare them at living together once they would've gotten married.
• Spock Speak: Due to his Asperger's he always speaks like that of a encyclopedia or that of a college professor.
• Teens Are Monsters: If anyone thought his childhood outside of home was horrible, you be wrong. His teenage years were absolutely more worse according to him. When he began secondary school (in Australia high school basically starts from Year 7 and ends at Year 12) he was faced with Loners Are Freaks by plenty of people at school, Intelligence Equals Isolation, Bullying the Disabled (being the victim of it), Bully Brutality, sexual harassment from two female students, and tried to commit suicide twice by attempting to overdose on his medication for his ADHD. He absolutely fucking hated his teenage years (that were outside of his home), until he met his One True Love, Ana Lopez (who faced similar problems like he did).
• Vigilante Man: During the first part of the timeline we basically see him going full vigilante on the Australian Brotherhood, and doing plenty of dangerous things that would've risked his life just to gather more information on the terrorist organization and track their members down by informing Australian/ANZC authorities.
  • The first thing he literally does is he goes under cover using the online alias of "Grey Fox" and uses multiple IP addresses to prevent the Australian Brotherhood from finding him when they realized what was going on. Basically put he literally does the same thing like Nate Foster does in the movie Imperium, but only difference is he doing it fully over the internet.
• Will They or Won't They?: When he and Ana were dating and spending a lot of time together, many of Louis's bullies were beginning to bet on when he would end up losing his virginity to Ana and they even bet on when Louis would knock her up. Of course Louis didn't gave a shit since he no longer cared about them anymore.
  • In case anyone really is curious about when Louis had sex with Ana for the first time, he was 16 and she was 17.
• Wouldn't Hit a Girl: Although he has experienced plenty of women who were assholes to him for much of his life, he never would hit a girl.
• You Are Not Alone: After discovering the shocking truth about Ana's death (being that she was killed in an murder disguised to be freak accident! Not to mention Louis was meant to be killed and not her!) he ends up becoming Grey Fox and goes full vigilante on the Australian Brotherhood since he realizes that he is not the only person who had his life ruined by them and surely HE wasn't going to let more people suffer like he did!
