    The Biskitts

Waggs

Voiced by: Darryl Hickman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/waggs.jpg
Waggs is the leader of the Biskitts.
  • The Ace / The Leader: Though not officially, he is leader of the Biskitts. Even King Max was able to figure that if Waggs was out of the way, the Biskitts would be easier to capture.
  • Betty and Veronica:
    • The Betty to Shiner's Veronica for Sweets' Archie.
    • He later becomes the Archie to Sweets' Betty and Wiggle's Veronica.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Bump.
  • Nice Guy: He's the most dependable Biskitt there is.
  • Official Couple: With Sweets.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: When a new villain, the Dark Knight, was hanging by a rope over a cliff, King Max ordered the Biskitts to cut the rope before he climbs back up, but Waggs refused, admitting that would make them no different from the Dark Knight or Max.

Sweets

Voiced by: Kathleen Helppie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sweets.jpg
A kind Biskitt who is Waggs' girlfriend.
  • Betty and Veronica:
    • The Archie to Waggs' Betty and Shiner's Veronica.
    • She later becomes the Betty to Wiggle's Veronica for Waggs' Archie.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Averted. Shows no jealousy or anger whatsoever when Wiggle develops a crush on Waggs.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Kind to all the animals who assist the Biskitts on adventures, took in a caterpillar as a pet when King Max ruined his home, and was even eager to help Max's dog Snarl after he was injured.
  • Meaningful Name: She's a very sweet Biskitt.
  • Nice Girl: Is practically the nicest of the Biskitts. She's even willing to help her enemies (she wanted to help Snarl after he got hurt, agreed with Waggs to spare the Dark Knight, and was unable to abandon Max and Shecky when Pyronce the dragon caught them).
  • Official Couple: With Waggs.
  • Smooch of Victory: Often does this to any of the male Biskitts (or animals) who save the day.
  • You Are in Command Now: Sweets takes over and leads the Biskitts in "The Bone in the Stone" after Waggs is injured trying to stop a dragon named Pyronce.

Bump

Voiced by: Bob Holt
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bump_8.jpg
The strongest Biskitt.

Shiner

Voiced by: Jerry Houser
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shiner.jpg
A lazy, selfish Biskitt.
  • Betty and Veronica: The Veronica to Waggs' Betty for Sweets' Archie.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Often tries to impress the girl Biskitts (especially Sweets), but even though they have flirted with Shiner occasionally, they're not the least bit interested in him. Wiggle, however, did once have a crush on Shiner, but got over him when she became head over heels for Waggs.
  • Dirty Coward: Would prefer to let someone else do the rescuing if someone's in danger. In "Belling the Wild Cat", Wiggle is caught by Scratch and when the other Biskitts rushed off to save her, Shiner ran in the opposite direction.
Downer: Hey, Shiner! You're going the wrong way!
    Shiner: No, I'm not!
  • Distressed Dude: Did a good job playing this in "Snatched from Scratch".
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Downer.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Shiner tends to be selfish, but in the episode "Turnaround Hound" Shiner helps Snarl get better and he did show real concern for Downer when he caught swamp fever in "Dogfoot".
  • Lazy Bum: Hates "working like a dog" and would often dump his work on someone else.
  • Leader Wannabe: Shiner has made clear he does not approve of Waggs giving orders and believes that he himself is more suitable to lead the Biskitts. In "Moving Day," he puts himself in charge when the Biskitts are trying to move their treasure chest on a rainy day, much to the other Biskitts' dismay. His poor leadership helps King Max steal the treasure from them, but fortunately they succeed in getting it back. At the end of the episode, Shiner, as usual, attempts to take full credit, which results in the other Biskitts telling him off and reminding him of how he screwed up. Shiner, though, brushes it off. He makes another attempt for leadership in "May the Best Biskitt Win" as part of King Max's scheme.
  • Miles Gloriosus: Despite his big talk, he'll immediately hightail it the moment he spots danger.
  • Never My Fault: He rarely admits to being wrong about something and is quick to blame others (particularly Waggs). Though he did admit to being at fault after one too many screw-ups in "Around the Swamp in a Daze".
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Wasn't very appreciative after his friends saved him (twice) from Scratch and King Max in "Snatched from Scratch".

Downer

Voiced by: Henry Gibson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/downer.jpg
A cowardly, pessimistic Biskitt.

Spinner

Voiced by: Bob Holt
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spinner.jpg
The oldest and wisest of the Biskitts.
  • Cool Old Guy: Which he proved to be when he outsmarted Scratch in "Spinner's Surprise" and helped defeat the evil Witch of Nidor in "A Biskitt Halloween".
  • Mentor Archetype: Spinner plays this part for the Biskitts and has a useful book.

Scat

Voiced by: Dick Beals
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scat_22.jpg
The youngest and smallest of the Biskitts.

Lady

Voiced by: B.J. Ward
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lady_14.jpg
The beautiful posh Biskitt.

Mooch

Voiced by: Marshall Efron
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mooch.jpg
A fat Biskitt.
  • Big Eater: Always hungry.
  • The Cameo / Out of Focus: Though he isn't seen as little as Wiggle, he does make more non-speaking cameo appearances than any of the other Biskitts.

Wiggle

Voiced by: Jennifer Darling
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wiggle.jpg
Another girl Biskitt.
  • All Love Is Unrequited: In "The Biskitt Who Cried Woof," Wiggle develops a major crush on Waggs, but Waggs doesn't return the feelings being that he only has eyes for Sweets.
  • Betty and Veronica: The Veronica to Sweets' Betty for Waggs' Archie.
  • Crying Wolf: After Waggs saves her from a large spider, she started to believe the best way to get him to notice her was by playing "Biskitt in distress". Therefore, she sets up a few disasters so Waggs would comfort her. However, the other Biskitts quickly catch onto her, leaving her broken hearted. Then when Wiggle finds out about King Max's plan to capture the Biskitts with a hawk, she tries to warn her friends, but they don't believe her.
  • Out of Focus: Has the least screen time of all the Biskitts. In fact, she's the only one who doesn't even appear in either the opening or closing credits.

    Villains

King Max

Voiced by: Kenneth Mars
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/king_max.jpg
The evil, wasteful King of the swamp.
  • Big Bad: He's the Biskitts' main nemesis.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Usually towards Shecky.
  • Determinator: He really wants King John's treasure and spends every episode he appears in trying to hunt down the Biskitts and force them into giving it to him.
  • Greed: Very greedy.
  • Never My Fault: Often blames his minions (usually Shecky) whenever he's unsuccessful at getting King John's treasure.
  • Taken for Granite: Is turned to stone when the Witch of Nidor drains the life force from the swamp.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Shows no gratitude when the Biskitts save him from Pyronce the dragon and still tries to steal the treasure from them.

Shecky

Voiced by: Kip King
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shecky.jpg
King Max's court jester.
  • Befriending the Enemy: Befriends Bump and even saves the Biskitts when another jester attempted to capture them in "Shecky's Last Laugh".
  • Butt-Monkey: Often suffers this, but then again, he is a court jester.
  • The Scapegoat: King Max usually blames him whenever a plan fails.
  • Sycophantic Servant: Is this to King Max.
  • Taken for Granite: Is turned to stone when the Witch of Nidor drains the life force from the swamp.

Fang and Snarl

Fang is vocalized by Kenneth Mars, Snarl is vocalized by Peter Cullen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fang_and_snarl.jpg
King Max's hounds.
  • Befriending the Enemy: Snarl takes a liking to Shiner after he helped him get better. He even pretended not to know where Biskitt Island was when King Max asked for its location.
  • Right-Hand Attack Dog: King Max uses them to sniff out the Biskitts as well as attack Scratch if he gets in the way.

Moat Monster

Vocalized by: Frank Welker
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/moat_monster.jpg
A serpentine monster.

Scratch

Voiced by: Peter Cullen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scratch.jpg
A wildcat.
  • Cats Are Mean: He's always trying to catch and eat the Biskitts.
  • Determinator: As Spinner once said, he's one determined cat.
  • Taken for Granite: Is turned to stone when the Witch of Nidor drains the life force from the swamp.
  • Uncanny Family Resemblance: Has a cousin named Itch who looks exactly like him except that his fang is on the right side of his mouth while Scratch's fang is on the left side.
