- Adaptational Name Change: In the Webcomic, his name is changed to Drogo.
- Barbarian Hero: Dresh evokes the stock image of a fantasy barbarian, being a hulking shirtless man who wields an axe. However, Dresh is not only one of the good guys, but he is also a military leader.

- Brilliant, but Lazy: Variant. He is described as being lazy and spoiled, but is noted to be a prodigy in mana control with the reflexes to match.
- Bullying a Dragon: He really had no reason to pick a fight with Arthur given that they are on the same side, but it resulted in him being humiliated and incapacitated in front of the rest of the Dicathian army.
- Childhood Friend Romance: With Caria.
- Dual Wielding: He wields dual axes.
- Hot-Blooded: Darvus is described as a battle-hungry individual and his personality is impetuous and hotheaded.
Caria Rede
- An Arm and a Leg: She loses both of her legs near the close of the War Arc.
- Bare-Fisted Monk: She fights using gauntlets.
- Childhood Friend Romance: With Darvus.
- The Lad-ette: She is very tomboyish, especially since her family Wanted a Son Instead.
Stannard Berwick
- Bodyguard Crush: He was hand-picked to be part of Tessia's team and to ensure her safety. He ends up developing an infatuation with her, but she never reciprocates given that she is already in love with Arthur.
- Handicapped Badass: Stannard has a deficiency in his mana core that prevents him from storing the normal amount of mana. However, despite his condition he continues to serve on the frontlines.
- Hopeless Suitor: He has an attraction to Tessia, but knows that he is out of her league given her attraction to Arthur.
- Long Range Combatant: Given his physical flaws, Stannard specializes in ranged combat.
- Mage Marksman: He wields a crossbow that is able to fire off beast cores that are loaded with spells.
- This Is Gonna Suck: Has this reaction on his face when Darvus challenges Arthur, as he had been trying to get him to back down beforehand as he knows such a challenge would be uncalled for and that his arrogant comrade is in for quite the beating.
- Weak, but Skilled: Despite his deformed mana core and small frame, Stannard is highly intelligent and well-versed in his unique abilities to offset his weaknesses. In particular, he has the unique ability to store spells into beast cores, turning them into devastating projectiles.

- The Starscream: He attempts to usurp Arthur's command due to his lack of respect for him but ends up being cowed into submission.

- Dies Wide Open: His lifeless eyes are wide open when Arthur finds his body. He closes them out of respect.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: Ends up being one of the many casualties of Taci's rampage, with his death only being revealed in the aftermath when Arthur finds his body.
- Dual Wielding: He is first seen with twin short swords holstered by his side.
- Kicked Upstairs: He was out in the Beast Glades when he defied a direct order. He would have been demoted and punished for his insubordination, but as Virion was nearby when it happened and had known him, he was instead assigned to guarding the dungeons in the Council Castle.
- Super-Senses: House Chaffer is renowned for their uncannily sharp senses, and Albold is no exception.
- Torso with a View: When Arthur finds his body, there is a bloody hole in his chest.

An elf who is assigned by Virion to be Arthur's attendant.
Lenna Aemaris
Head of the southeastern unit in Elenoir.
- Bodyguarding a Badass: Downplayed. After the end of the war, Lenna becomes the head of Virion's guards. While Virion is a silver core mage and has been kept as sharp as possible due to his sparring with Aldir in the leadup to the war, he is still past his prime and could not hold himself against the likes of the Scythes or Wraiths, let alone actual asuras, on top of the outcome of the war having left a considerable scar on his mental state.
- Trampled Underfoot: Her life is ended when Taci crushes her beneath his foot.
