In General
- Fire-Forged Friends: all being stuck in a computer together will tend to do that
- Intergenerational Friendship: Between Billy and Jack, Jenny and Cliff (Billy is 9 and incapable of aging while the others are all in their 20's)
- Interspecies Friendship: once again with Billy and Jack, Jenny and Cliff since Billy is a videogame character and the others are humans
Jacksepticeye
- Decoy Protagonist: The game tricks you into thinking you are playing as Jacksepticeye. In reality, Jacksepticeye underwent a Literal Split Personality. The real player character is Jack, who represent Seán's online persona.
- Kidnapped by the Call: The game begins with Jack getting pulled inside his computer against his will.
- Literal Split Personality: Due to Jack's conflicted nature, he undergoes this when entering Wireland. This created Jack (his online persona) and Seán / the Boss (the "real" him).
Billy / The Irresponsible Son
- Anti-Villain: Billy kidnapped the subscribers thus setting off the plot. However, he did so in order to help Jack with his personal issues.
- Butt-Monkey: Arguably a deconstruction. Due to the nature of the universe and his game, Billy is a Cosmic Plaything. This has led him to become jaded and snide.
- Engineered Heroics: Billy's plan was to kidnap the subscribers and have Jacksepticeye "save" them thus improving Jack's self-esteem. However, Jacksepticeye's Literal Split Personality threw a monkey wrench into this.
- In-Series Nickname: Technically his name is "the Irresponsible Son". "Billy" is the name given to him by Jacksepticeye. Everyone calls him "Billy".
- Obliviously Evil: Billy has committed amoral actions. However, Seán claims Billy thinks he is doing Jacksepticeye a favor.
- Sarcasm Mode: Really, It's basically Billy's only mode especially when the others (mainly Jack) are up to their antics

- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Cliff has a tendency to get distracted, but less so by things and more letting his thoughts spiral into darker places or to the point where he's totally off track of what he was saying without meaning to
