One the famous plumbers who saved the world countless times.
- All-Loving Hero: When begged by a complete stranger at the time (Octobert) to go with him to save his village he accepts immediately, no questions asked. Reconstructed in a way, as both he and his brother later confess that having to save the world time and time again only to always have a new threat emerge left them often wondering if it's worth keep going through the motions like this, but then they recalled all the friends they've made, all the grateful people of the lands they saved and the journeys they shared togheter and realized that it was indeed worth it all.
- Red Is Heroic: But of course.
- The Speechless: Just like in the handheld series.
Luigi
The other famous plumber.
Bowser
King of the omonimous army and eternal enemy of the Mario Bros. Along with his lackey Kamek, he's been forced to attend Platinia's funeral and will make damn sure to let her know how sore he is about it.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: He's certainly more caring and considerate than normal. While on the surface he has his usual surly attitude, when Kamek was about to die he immediately threatened the guy who basically just took the entire audience hostage to put him down. After that, he bothered to try and make Kamek feel better after he felt like a failure for being unable to protect his king.
- Deadpan Snarker: Constantly making dry remarks on the situation and the people around him. Even more so when Peach is around.
- Unskilled, but Strong: As usual, he doesn't seem interested in putting much thought in his combat style, instead preferring to just hit whatever is front of him at the time until it stops moving. He still floored Pouch Guy with a single punch in their fight.
Princess Peach
The Ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom and self-appointed leader of the team.
Toadsworth
Peach's caretaker since she was a child.
Yoshi
Mario's loyal dinosaur "steed"
King Bob-omb
The air-headed leader of the Bob-omb troop.
Kamek
Bowser's unlucky tagalong and most trusted minion.
