- The Scapegoat: He was this to Ellie.Ellie: You're right, Owen Green has been a valuable scapegoat. He's outlived his usefulness.
- We do learn eventually that this isn't what she really thinks of him. Just not until after she arrives too late to save him.

- In-Series Nickname: Action Jackson (given to him by Mags).

- Closet Key: She is this for Sam.
- Code Name: Her real last name is not Densmore.
- First-Name Basis: Mags tries to ensure that everyone at The AM be on a first name basis.
Dr. Andrea Sharpe
Portrayed by: Diana Inosanto
- Being Personal Isn't Professional: Dr. Sharpe is very frequently the one to ask everyone to please put their personal drama aside and get to work. She also dislikes the use of first names in the workplace.
- Code Name: Her real last name is not Sharpe.
- Good Is Not Nice: Dr. Sharpe is sarcastic most of the time and tends to throw insults around fairly frequently. She is also extremely dedicated to doing things ethically, however, and works constantly to try and find a solution to Alex's ability so that he can live his life normally without constant pain.

Annabelle "Ellie" Wadsworth

- Antagonist in Mourning: After Owen's death.
- The Chessmaster: Wadsworth is known for manipulating people and "playing the board".
- Code Name: Her full real name is Annabelle Margaret Whitney.
- Heart Trauma: It is revealed that the majority of the reason Wadsworth feels how she does towards atypicals is that Helen, whom she trusted, once used her ability to stop her heart.

- Obliquely Obfuscated Occupation: Lee works with The Order. No one at The AM appears to be entirely sure what exactly that means.

- Dysfunctional Family: He reveals to Joan that while on tour, he paid a visit to their estranged parents, who hate him. It did not go well.
Helen
Portrayed by: Helen Highfield
- Beware the Nice Ones: Helen seems perfectly innocent and even kind right up until her evaluation with Joan takes a darker turn.
- To the Pain: Helen is apparently capable of permanently messing up the frequencies in a person's brain, leaving them in a state of non-stop debilitating pain for the rest of their lives.
Oliver Ritz

- Good Is Not Nice: He tends to make jokes at inappropriate times and insult the intelligence of everyone around him, but ultimately he is the one who manages to recreate the serum and save everyone in the building.

- Arc Villain: Sidney isn't around for long and his breakout gets resolved fairly quickly.
