- Hidden Depths: She's able to do lip reading.
- Master of Disguise: Part of her ninja training. She's able to disguise as different persons in a jiffy.
- Ninja: Botan was given harsh training ever since she was a kid.
- Omniglot: Aside from Japanese, she's able to speak Dutch, English, French, German, Korean, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. Botan was still learning Norwegian when she was on board with Mission T.
- Training from Hell: When she was growing up, her grandfather gave her strict training. She wonders if her grandfather was going insane.
Kuruma
- All There in the Manual: When Kuruma and Ryūnosuke were spending time with Botan in Gifu, the former reveals that his full name is "Kuruma Tanaka".
- Omniglot: Aside from Japanese, he can speak English, French and Mandarin Chinese. According to Kuruma, he's studying German and Norwegian.
- The Rival: To Botan as they were both recruited to head a JSPC investigation into the Tesla Fragments.
Ryūnosuke Takamatsu
- Voice with an Internet Connection: Provides tactical support from a distance, usually from a vehicle. Though he's handy to be with when a gunfight starts.
- The Mole: Was planted in JSPC on behalf of A Small House.
Kyohei Himi
- Da Chief: In charge of the JSPC.
- Stink Snub: While not obvious, Botan criticizes Kyohei of his sweaty armpits during episode 6 of the anime or chapter 18 of the manga. Sometimes it's so distracting that Botan doesn't hear him talking

- All There in the Manual: His real name, Borjigin Khan, was revealed when Botan confronts him on the Una Castila airship.
- The D in Mr. D stands for "Dangerous".
- Big Bad: The bad guy responsible for driving the events of the manga.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Mr. D won't allow himself to take tea that's meant for the guests.
- You Killed My Father: He's the one who killed Daito.

- Hero Killer: Almost nailed Botan in Chicago, although he shot Kuruma and got him severely wounded.

- Big Guy: Elmo uses his large statute to fight his enemies.

- Archnemesis Dad: Botan's dad and a known member in SH.
