Mossad:

    Tamar Rabinyan 

  • Action Girl: Tamar is highly trained in combat, and displays her skills often in the series.
  • Daddy's Girl: Tamar is clearly very close with her father as seen from their brief interactions. The only time she breaks down is when he's kidnapped, despite going through a whole ton of hardship during the first season.
  • In Love with the Mark: She's worried that she's falling in love with Peyman, Qasem's only son. "Betty" only confirms her fears.
  • Revenge: The second season is partially driven by Tamar to get to General Qasem Mohammadi because he had her Iranian relatives killed and accused of being pro-Israeli Middle Eastern Terrorists.
  • Sweet Polly Oliver: Tamar dresses up as a male security guard to sneak into an electrical station in the last episode of Season 1, complete with a fake mustache.

    Yael Kadosh 

  • The Mole: Yael turns out to be a double agent in service to the Iranians.

    Masoud Tabrizi

  • The Big Guy: Recruited by Yael when they infiltrate Iran by taking out any hostiles, be it firearms or unarmed combat.

    Yulia Magen 
  • Bad Boss: She's willing to secretly inform the IRGC of Tamar and Marjan's activities since she did not approve of them trying to assassinate Qasem unless Tamar is pulled out.
  • The Spy Master: In charge of Mossad ops in season 2.

    Qasem Mohammadi 
  • Would Hit a Girl: Well, he oversaw the execution of Tamar's aunt Arezoo in th second season after Ayandegan Hospital was suppoedly attacked by terrorists, which wasn't true.

Intelligence Protection Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp:

    Faraz Kamali 

  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Faraz is a brutal, devoted agent of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and also utterly dedicated to his wife, who he loves dearly, though his duty comes first.
  • Hero Killer: He takes out some of Mossad's Iranian assets and Yael.
  • Mole in Charge: As of "Blood Funeral", he gets turned by Marjan after he was previously poisoned. However, Marjan still wants him dead just to make sure he doesn't go back and bite Mossad.
  • Villainous Rescue: Faraz inadvertently saves Tamar from Yael when she's about to shoot her.

    Ali Aghazadeh 

  • The Dragon: To Faraz on IRGC-led counterintelligence ops.
  • Never Suicide: After Ali is shot with his own sidearm in a struggle with Faraz, the latter arranges for the scene to make it look like he did shoot himself. The IPO investigates it and realizes that it's not a suicide after looking into the case carefully.

  • Number Two: In Marjan's cell operating in Tehran.
  • The Driver: He typically works as a cab driver in Tehran. When Mossad needs him though, he doubles as a Getaway Driver.

Persons of Interest:

    Zhila Gorbanifar 
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Zhila's role in switching places with Tamar prior to the latter infiltrating Tehran ultimately led to Iranian intelligence trying to pursue Tamar once they figure things out.

    Peyman Mohammadi
