Voice: Momokawa Rika
The protagonist of the game, a high-school girl who ends up working at Tasokare Hotel that exists between this world and the other side. She is described as having 'dead fish-like eyes' and a weird sense of fashion. Other characters often remark of her stubbornness.
  • Amnesiac Hero: Upon arriving the hotel, she can’t remember anything about herself.
  • Animal Motifs: Neko's name is homonymous with the Japanese word for 'cat', she has a cat-like mouth and is described as having 'dead fish-like eyes'.
  • Genki Girl: Her real personality, despite people being convinced otherwise because of her eyes.
  • Older Than They Look: Who would think she is a high-school student at the glorious height of 155cm?
  • Meido: Works as one in the Tasokare Hotel, complete with the Taisho-inspired maid uniform.
  • The Stoic: Subverted. While people think of her as such due to her dead fish-like eyes, she’s actually a playful and energetic girl.

A good-looking and hardworking guy who Neko looks up to, who arrived and started working at the Hotel about a week before Neko. He gives people the impression of being a playboy, which he claims he is not.

Voice: Nagano Yuki

A girl who works as a chef in the kitchen. In the real world, she is in a vegetative state, and is working at the hotel to earn time to return to the past.


  • Hair-Trigger Temper: She’s a snappish, as seen when she always angry with and scolds Neko.
  • Supreme Chef: To be working as the head chef of the hotel, she must be very good at cooking.
  • Tsundere: Neko often calls her cute, causing Ruri to lash out in embarrassment.

    The Manager

Voice: Yamamoto Kanehira

The manager of the hotel who has a burning head. He loves sweets a lot. He often slacks off in his duties despite being the manager, and is often scolded by Atori and Ruri.


  • Can't Hold His Liquor: Despite enjoying sake, he is weak to alcohol and often passes out immediately upon taking a single sip of sake.
  • Hunk: He is monstrously tall (190cm, folks) and has broad shoulders. About the handsome part, well...
  • Manchild: For a manager, he is rather childish, often skips work, slacks off and gets scolded by his own staffs.
  • No Name Given: People only call him ‘Manager’.
  • Non-Human Head/Wreathed in Flames: His head is basically a floating flame.
  • Sweet Tooth: Likes sweet treats and has a hobby for creating fake sweets. Ruri often makes his curry rice sweeter than normal since he will be sad if it’s too spicy.

Voice: Sasamoto Natsue

The hostess of the bar in Tasokare Hotel. She is cold and apathetic towards humans.


  • The Flapper: Her outfit, the hat, and the description of her being “the glamour hostess” invoked the image.
  • Horned Humanoid
  • Unstoppable Rage: She is said to be absolutely terrifying when mad, though the game never really shows that happening.

A regular, permanent costumer of the bar at Tasokare Hotel. He is always gazing outside of the windows with his telescope. His origin in unknown at the beginning.


  • Cloudcuckoolander: Many people regard him as ‘odd’. He often is found talking about a good (or boring) view outside to many people who visit the bar from time to time.

  • The Gambler: Hence, it’s in his nickname.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He is quite hot headed sometimes, as seen when he gets angry at Neko quickly when she bothers him in the middle of a game.

    Pansy Head/Osoto Masaki

Voice: Shirai Yusuke

The second guest to arrive at Tasokare Hotel, a university student detective. He died of accidental death when he slipped on a wet metal board and fell onto a pointed fence post.

He is also the main antagonist of the story, besides being the killer of Haturo Atori.


  • Always Someone Better: Osoto feels like his parents betrayed him, as they liked Atori more than their only son and paid more attention to him instead.
  • Amateur Sleuth: A university student who also works as a detective.
  • Freudian Excuse: Being terrible a person he is, there’s a reason why he would sink this deep. Osoto is the only child of two well known wealthy doctors and they urged him to get perfect marks in every subject and tests he took, which drove him into a dark corner. After all of that, they still favored Atori over him, to the point completely ignored his existence and saw Atori as their actual son instead.
  • Green-Eyed Monster
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Who would expect he is canonically into vore?
  • Stalker without a Crush: In Chapter 7, he is revealed to be this to Haruto Atori out of severe jealousy that his parents favoured Atori over himself, when Neko discovers the hidden room in Osoto's room filled with torture equipment and a wall filled with Atori's pictures that had been secretly taken.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: His green-yellow eyes signals an unsettling feeling.
  • You Are Who You Eat: Has a belief that whatever he ingests with soon become part of his identity and blood. With that, Osoto is driven to kidnap Atori, whom he always envious of, at Tasokare Hotel and try to eat parts of him.

    Masked Woman/Kyoko Takahashi

A masked woman who came to to the hotel with her fiancé.


  • Stalker with a Crush: Kyoko, jealous that Toru was getting married to another Kyoko, stalked Toru, kidnapped his baby, and threatened to throw his baby into the ocean unless he signed the marriage certificate with her name on it.
  • Yandere: She tried to kill Toru in both routes of Chapter 3 after learning that she died while he survived, to make him go into the afterlife with her.

  • Shot Gun Wedding: He became engaged to Kyoko (his real fiancee) as she had become pregnant with his child.
