    Adlets in general

Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: All the adlets have bright accent colors, which works with their distinct patterns and designs to make for a quite vibrant cast.Humanoid Aliens: A given for a race which looks at first glance like a lombax. They never interact with humans, much less mention them at all, though.

    Zariyah

Zariyah Gunn

The sister of Kristan Gunn, and an avid ghost hunter and paranormal expert (mostly from firsthand experience). She is the first character introduced to the story.

Occult Detective: Albeit one Played for Laughs more than anything. She collects items that are magical (although they are mostly of the Useless Useful Spell variety, like a mask that turns technology on, but doesn't do anything else to it) or paranormal, and has a quite irritable spirit roaming her house.

Ear Ache: She has an ear punctured by the totem lathe while fighting the vengeful spirit.. She quickly bandages it afterwards, but it's still wince-inducing enough to be hidden by a silhouette.

Improbable Weapon User: Just like her brother, she uses a wildly impractical weapon. In her case, it's a gravestone, which she shouldn't be able to pick up, much less wield. It does make sense to wield, however, since it's the only thing that can harm the spirit in her house.

Unusually Uninteresting Sight: She doesn't appear to really be too bothered about an actively murderous ghost haunting her. Or at least until it nearly kills her when she tries to enter the medium. Justified, since she has been dealing with it for a while now and has probably just plain gotten used to it.

    Kristan

Zariyah Gunn's brother is a much more cautious and casual type of person than his sister when it comes to the paranormal, much preferring to read and play video games instead. He is the second character we are introduced to.

Bookworm: From the get-go his room has books dotted around that he has been reading.

Improbable Weapon User: Shares this trait with his sister, using a mirror, but minus the ghost-fighting capacity.

Only Sane Man: Seems to be one of the few people actively showing concern for his sister sharing living space with a murderous ghost.

    Rennard

Rennard Rush

A borderline-narcoleptic adlet, who is constantly on the verge of passing out and entering the dream world since he keeps himself up to avoid his nightmares. Very irritable because of this, and the third adlet introduced to the reader.

Must Have Caffeine: Coffee is the only way he can ensure he has a higher-than-average chance of not passing out for two seconds.

  • Caffeine Failure Note higher than average; he is still liable to pass out, and does.

The Insomniac: A voluntary version, as noted in his blurb. He doesn't want to meet with the recurring nightmares he has.

Exhausted Eye Bags: Par for the course for someone who doesn't get much sleep, if any at all.

    Alethea

Alethea Luke

    Cheral

Cheral Cassyz

  • Mundane Utility: He uses his fire breath to slightly increase his maximum jump height.
