Yue Jinzhao
Jinzhao is the main protagonist of the game. He is an amnesiac young man, who travels with his sister Qi in attempt to learn about their past. He sometimes get visions, one of which led him to Yinhui Keep to meet Luo Zhaoyan.
In battle Jinzhao wields two swords. His first style is called "Shadow Slip", and focuses in equal parts on Physical attacks and healing. His second style is "Lightning Blade", that specializes in strong Physical attacks.

- Eyepatch of Power: His left eye is covered by an ornamental eyepatch, and he's a certified badass.
Yue Qi
Qi is Jinzhao's sister, who travels with him. Despite her fragile appearance, she actually wields an enormous and mysterious power.
Qi's weapon is a short sword, that she summons from thin air. Her styles are focused on elemental magic - "Torrent Rush" on Water, and "Windcaller" on Wind and Thunder.

- The Ditz: She's not too bright and often puts food before everything else.
- Flying Weapon: Her main weapon. She rarely it in hand, preferring to manipulate it from a distance.
- Storm of Blades: For her Limit Break she summons dozens of swords and has them fall on the target.
Luo Zhaoyan
Zhaoyan is the head of "Evanescent" Luo family, and the official in charge of Yinhui Keep. Zhaoyan is actually a woman, but is forced to dress as a man to serve as the head of the family.
Zhaoyan fights with a glaive. Her first stance, "Law of Flames", is an offensive, Fire- and Wind-oriented style, while her "Armor Shell" stance turns her into Earth-elemental tank.

- Not So Stoic: She tries to be strict and uptight, but even then Cuteness Proximity affects her.
- Sweet Polly Oliver: She dressess as a man to serve as the head of the family. This is reflected in her equipment, as she can use male equipment.
Ju Shifang
Shifang is a member of True Martial Alliance, who devoted himself to building machines. He follows the party to prove his worthiness, mainly to himself.
In combat Shifang utilizes one of his machines, specifically a mechanical bear with a back-mounted crossbow. The bear's "Machine Plate" mode is a purely Physical tank mode, while "Machine Blast" mode allows it to use Wind, Thunder and Water attacks.

- Robot Master: His machines do all the fighting for him, while he remotely controls them.
- Non-Action Guy: He's just a scientist, and not a trained warrior or mage like the rest of the party. Even in his "K.O." pose he's just covering behind his broken machine.

Xian Qing is some sort of "monster", who helps Ming Xiu.

- Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: During his Void Walk skill he punches so fast, that his fists leave afterimages.
