A sweet-tempered sorority girl who beats up rapists by night.
- Badass Adorable: When trying to convince Harris that she's not the vigilante, Ophelia calls her "fun-sized, brownie-baking, 'oh rats' Jules".
- Beware the Nice Ones: Jules is one of the nicest people on campus... who also happens to be a brutal vigilante. Especially episode 8 when she beats up Brady and goes a little too far.
- Break the Cutie: The whole show, really, but especially "Fearless".
- Duet Bonding: With Ophelia when she turns on Wicked while they're driving away from Carter's garage with his body in the trunk.
- Deuteragonist: With Ophelia.
- Gosh Darn It to Heck!: Oh so much.Jules: [talking about Carter] No police, gosh darn it! [sees Ophelia trying to hide a smile] This isn't funny!
Ophelia: You're gosh darn right it's not. - Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: One of the few blondes on the show who isn't a total bitch.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Kennedy, and increasingly with Ophelia.
- Rape as Backstory: Handled with a bit more delicacy than usual.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives a pretty damn good and deserving one to Nate in s1e6, after he calls forcing himself on her at a party "cheating".Jules: Shut up. You're gonna listen to me. Let me get one thing straight. I told you to stop, and I told you no, and you did this. You put your hand over my mouth, and then you raped me.
Nate: What are you talking about?
Jules: I'm not done. What you took from me wasn't yours to take, and the fact that you thought it was sex for just one second is disgusting. And you came here tonight to make me feel safe? I don't think I'll ever feel safe again because of you. All I feel is just this... emptiness. And I've tried everything I can to get rid of it. I've lied to myself, to my friends and I've smiled and pretended and... and said I was gonna run away. And I've done everything I could except this, which is tell you how alone and broken I feel watching you with my best friend like nothing ever happened. Because you don't carry this like I do, and I hate you for that. And I-I envy you for that. And I just... I thought that you should finally know. - Start of Darkness: Ophelia invokes this trope after Jules beats Brady unconscious, telling her she has to deal with her issues before they consume her.

A slacker weed dealer who gets involved with Jules's vigilante operation when she witnesses one of the beatings and finds Jules's necklace on the ground.
- Bad Liar: Unless she prepares a story beforehand, her lies will be pretty transparent.Harris: What are you guys talking about?
Ophelia: [at the same time as Jules] Radical feminism!
Jules: Nothing! - Brilliant, but Lazy: Apparently. She skips class constantly to smoke but still has good grades, is an unreliable and selfish employee but has a thriving business as a drug dealer, and is primarily the brains to Jules's brawn in their vigilante escapades.
- Deadpan Snarker: Just about every other sentence out of her mouth is a snarky remark directed at friend and foe alike.
- Dueling Hackers: With the Monster of the Week in s1e4.Ophelia: He has to know I’m the superior hacker.
- Deuteragonist: With Jules.
- Friendless Background: How she got started hacking.Ophelia: Well, I didn't have a lot of friends growing up and spent a lot of time in front of the computer. [beat] Like, a lot of time.
- Fun T-Shirt: She seems to have a good stock of them. Special notice goes to the "I'm A Butthole" shirt she uses to apologize to Evan and the "Spitters Are Quitters" shirt she makes Jules wear as a disguise in the first episode.
- Hollywood Hacking: Ophelia's hacking skills manage to accomplish things that may not even be possible with a computer.
- The Lad-ette: Curses constantly, takes great pride in beating her boy toys at Mario Kart, and loves pizza, weed, and casual sex.
- Mistaken for Romance: With Jules.Harris: What kind of friend?
Ophelia: Not that kind. - Nonconformist Dyed Hair: Her hair is dyed green. She doesn't like it when she has to go blonde to infiltrate the Kappa Kappa Phi sorority.
- Platonic Life-Partners: With Harris. They even have a holiday to celebrate their friendship!
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: A brief but hard-hitting one to Kennedy for believing Nate over Jules.
- Stepford Snarker: Minor case. Quite a bit of her crass, wise-cracking personality is genuine, but it's clear she has just as much to deal with as Jules does.
- The Stoner: On top of smoking weed all the time, she is also the campus's main supplier.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The brash tomboy to Jules's squeaky-clean girly-girl.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Pizza. It's her phone lock screen.
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: It's repeatedly hinted that her relationship with her mother is strained due to her...eclectic lifestyle. She looks absolutely heartbroken when her mother makes it clear she only cares about the daughter she wants, not the one she has, and when Jules hits below the belt in s1e08 and tells her that she really is a mistake, Ophelia is clearly struggling to keep it together.
Kennedy Cates
- Played by: Aisha Dee
President of Zeta Zeta Psi and Jules's best friend.
- Brainy Brunette: She shows it off when Nate gets angry at her for skipping a sports lunch to listen to a feminist speaker she's been trying to get for the Zetas for ages.
- Determinator: Kennedy Cates does not back down from a challenge.
- Gender-Blender Name: Especially her Affectionate Nickname, "Ken".
- Girl Posse: She runs one.Kennedy: [speaking to a crowd of girls during pledge week] Welcome to Zeta, my queens. This week is all about sisterly bonding. The sisterhood of Zeta Zeta Psi, the ultimate female-empowering community. Each of you deserves to be here. Know that we feel blessed and honored that you chose to join us too. This week will end in a classic prank. We're painting George Washington bright pink. Make Zeta your sun and your stars. You are all Khaleesis in our eyes. Consider us your khalasar.
- Good Bad Girl
- Hidden Depths: As Ophelia says, "underneath all the 'yaaassss gurl's and Zeta realness", she's a big-hearted, strong-willed, intelligent young woman.
- Innocently Insensitive: In season one due to not knowing what Nate did to Jules.
- Quirky Curls: Of the high-energy type.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: To the Zetas.
- Significant Wardrobe Shift: She puts on a dark red leather jacket to symbolize she's ready for ass-kicking when she goes to tell Jules she believes her and will stand by her and help her get justice. Possibly invoked, considering that this is Kennedy.
- Spoiled Sweet: Like Jules, she's a slightly ditzy sorority girl with few worries beyond this Friday's party, but she's also the nicest, most upbeat person on the show.
- Token Black Friend: At the start of the series her only characterization was a Jules' best friend who happened to be black, but Character Development quickly kicked in.
- Tsundere: Type B, deredere-default. She's cute, perky, and fun, but don't you dare hurt one of her sisters. Nate is the primary target of her tsuntsun side, once she comes to terms with the person he really is.
- Valley Girl: A little bit. She's not stupid, but she is very basic.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Gets hit with this hard after Nate tells her he "slept with" Jules. Her confusion is understandable, given that she just lost her best friend and her boyfriend in one go, and believing either of them means something terrible. She later admits that Ophelia was right; she knew, deep down, what really happened, but was scared to look straight at it.
