The heroine of the Starry☆Sky games as well as the anime adaptation, although her name can be changed by the player. Tsukiko is the first female student to attend Seigatsu Academy, a second year, and part of both the student council and the archery club.

  • Audience Surrogate: Obviously, as the heroine, she was created to represent the girls that listened to the Drama CDs.
  • Babies Ever After: With Kanakubo in ~After Summer~, Haruki-sensei in ~After Autumn~, Kanata in ~After Spring~ and Kazuki in ~After Winter~.
  • Brainy Brunette: Comes off as this. She also juggles 2 school clubs as well as helping out in the nurses office.

  • Declaration of Protection: On the receiving end from everyone, especially in Kanata and Suzuya's cases. As her childhood friends, they protect her from the rest of the student body, which are all guys.
    • The guys of the archery club also protect her from their classmates in one event.
  • Determinator: She always strives to do her best, which sometimes results in overworking herself to the point of collapsing.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: In the game and other CGs, her bangs often cover her eyes to maintain the sense of anonymity.
  • Fairytale Wedding Dress: Wears them in the epilogues in ~In Spring~, ~In Winter~, ~After Summer~ & ~After Autumn.
  • Featureless Protagonist: In the PC versions of the games. Subverted in the PSP remake, you have the choice whether she has one or not, and After, where she does have a face.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: To emphasize her as the only girl in a One-Gender School for male, she has long flowing streams of hair.
  • Meido: Forced to to dress up as one in Iku's route for the school festival in ~In Autumn~.
  • Oblivious to Love: As per the rule for old school otome protagonists, she is completely oblivious to the affections of her male peers.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: There’s almost nothing special about her except the fact she’s a girl in an all-boy school.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The only girl in the entire school and, as a result, is often pursued by many of the other male students.

”Thank you, I wanted to tell only it.”

As a kid he was constantly teased for being half-French. He met Tsukiko when he was young, and because she was the only person who didn't make fun of him, he fell in love with her and asked his father to let him transfer to Seigatsu Academy in order to pursue her. Initially disdainful to everyone except Tsukiko, eventually, he learns the importance of having friends. His father hopes to work in America to develop a special astronomy project. His real name is Henri Samuel Jean Aimée.

  • But Not Too Foreign: He is half-French, with the French ancestry comes from his father, and was constantly teased for it in his childhood.
  • The Casanova: Clings to Tsukiko whenever she's near. Kanata immediately flares up at his actions.
  • Character Development: Has a little of this. He comes off pretty cold at first, but then eventually learns the importance of having friends.
  • Cherry Blossoms: His story takes place in Spring, so it features a goddamn gratuitous amount of these pink fluttering flowers.
  • Childhood Friends: With Tsukiko, the only person who didn't make fun of him for being half-French.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Both his hair and eyes are of a red shade.
  • Defrosting Ice King: When he meets with everyone again at the beginning of the school year, he is quite aloof and doesn’t have any intention to make friends. After a while, he learns the importance of friends and the bonds they share.
  • French Jerk: Comes off as one at first due to how he is initially disdainful and hostile to everyone except Tsukiko. He gets better.
  • Friendless Background: In his childhood, he had almost no one to play with as children of his age often poked fun at his mixed ancestry. The only person he managed to befriend then was Tsukiko.
  • Friendly Rivalry: With Kanata. They don’t get off to a good start, constantly fighting and provoking one another, but eventually become friends after a plot divided by Suzuya and Tsukiko.
  • Gratuitous French: Being half-French and all...
  • Happily Married: The true ending epilogue ~In Spring~ and in ~After Spring~, when he returns to Japan after 5 years studying astronomy with his family in America.
  • I Will Wait for You: Yoh returns to France after 3 months at the Academy. If you go for the true ending 5 years later he returns to Japan, and he and Tsukiko get married.
  • Only Friend: Tsukiko was his only friend for a long time, until he becomes involved with her circle of friends.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue Oni to Kanata's Red. Interestingly, their color palette is the opposite.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Despite his cold personality, he is actually kind, cheerful and always caring.

”I wonder when you would realize my heart.”

Kanata is brash and impulsive, he has been friends with Tsukiko since childhood and has developed feelings for her. He does not get along very well with Yoh. He suffers from a terminal illness that leaves him in a lethargic state, which is why he often skips classes and faints without reason. However, he refuses to seek medical help and often gets into school fights that worsen his health to protect Tsukiko.

  • Custom Uniform: To emphasize his delinquent-like status, he wears his school uniform jacket and dress shirt unbuttoned, with his neck tie placed in his right back pocket.
  • Disappeared Dad: His dad died when he was 5 years old, due to the same illness that he passed on him.
  • Handicapped Badass: His illness often gets him in the worst of time. Luckily, he gets better in ~After Spring~.

Beneath his warm exterior, Suzuya has a dark side and worries about Tsukiko constantly.
