Characters in Adventures

Characters Exclusive to Adventures

Due to self-contained and pseudo-canonical nature of many of Adventures's stories, characters who had single appearances in Adventures and Adventures only are listed here.

2017 Run

    Zool Zendiat

Zool Zendiat

Species: Human

Appearances: Issue #1 (2017): "Better the Devil You Know, Part 1", Issue #2 (2017): "Better the Devil You Know, Part 2"

The leader of a group of criminal treasure hunters called the Zendiat Collective.

  • Eye Scream: A sideview of his face implies he doesn't have any eyes.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: The droid head he and his group went after turns out to be wiped clean of the data it had on the treasure it supposedly knew about.

    Lazslo

Lazslo

Species: Human

Appearances: Forces of Destiny Issue #5: "Rose & Paige", Issue #6 (2017): "Rose Knows"

The head mechanic aboard the Raddus and Rose's boss.

    Azool Phantelle

Azool Phantelle

Species: Ortolan

Appearances: Issue #13 (2017): "Tales from Wild Space: The Blue Brothers"

A thief on Tatooine, and the brother of Max Rebo.

  • Back for the Finale: He has a cameo in Emil's Mental World in the first run's finale.
  • The Cameo: He's a part of the Continuity Cavalcade in Emil's Mental World as he's being preyed by the Tarinna in the first run's final issue.
  • Canon Immigrant: Max Rebo's name is a stage name — his real name is Siiruulian Phantele, albeit with one L. Azool's name implies this is also true of Max, though Azool calling him Max may put a dent in that (however, as the story is told in-universe by Emil, it's possible this was a mistake on his part).
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: He likes thieving for fun, which gets him into trouble, while Max prefers to stay out of trouble.
  • Mythology Gag: His first name is a type of blue and his last name is "Phantel(l)e", like his brother's real name in Legends.

    Opop Hibbedit plants

Native to: Opop Hibbedit

Appearances: Issue #19 (2017): "Tales from Wild Space: The Big March"

An unnamed species of sentient carnivorous plants on the world of Opop Hibbedit.

  • Back for the Finale: They have a cameo in Emil's Mental World in the first run's finale.
  • The Cameo: They are a part of the Continuity Cavalcade in Emil's Mental World as he's being preyed by the Tarinna in the first run's final issue.
  • Cyclops: They have only one eye.
  • Extreme Omnivore: They're plants(?) that try to eat a battle droid, which of course, is made of metal.
  • Man-Eating Plant: Implied. They try to eat the story's central battle droid, but get attacked by magnetic rock chimps before they can do so. They also have animal-like mouths with sharp teeth, implying that they at least eat meat.

    Magnetic rock chimps

A young girl from Garel who contacted the Resistance for help in hacking the First Order's planetwide communications.

  • Child Prodigy: She's said to be a kid, but she's smart enough to trick our droid heroes into meeting her and to slice into First Order technology.
  • Hollywood Hacking: She's a slicer, but downplayed in that she needs the help of Artoo, Threepio, and BB-8 to take down the First Order's control over Garel's communications.

    Orlok

Director Orlok

Species: Human

Appearances: Issue #28 (2017): "Secret Agent Droid, Part 2", Issue #29 (2017): "Secret Agent Droid, Part 3"

A director in the First Order Security Bureau.

  • Ambiguous Situation: His uniform indicates that he's FOSB, but it's not clear if he's the director of the entire organization, director has been made a subordinate rank (just as Phasma is a Captain, but actually outranks everyone and is more equivalent to a General), or if he's a director in a specialized field (like Krennic as the Director of the Imperial Military Dept. of Advanced Weapons Research).

    Tarinna

Species: Tarinna

Appearances: Issue #31 (2017): "The Lost Stories, Part 2", Issue #32 (2017): "The Lost Stories, Part 3"

A Critonian story vampire, a type of vampire that feeds off of people's minds for their experiences, memories, and stories they've been told.

  • Final Boss: The 2017 run ends with Emil and co. fighting a tarinna, who tries to feed on Emil and Crater's minds, resulting in a Continuity Cavalcade of all the stories that have been told through the Tales from Wild Space segments of the comic.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: A tarinna is an alien vampire that uses its tendrils on people's minds to consume their knowledge.

2020 Run

    The Girl

???

"The future belongs to the people!"

A woman leading a riot against Kylo Ren and the First Order on her homeworld.

  • Bolivian Army Ending: After Kylo refuses to kill her, a squad of Stormtroopers are sent her way.
  • Defiant to the End: Even at risk of being diced into bits by Kylo's lightsaber, she claims she and her people will never stop fighting against the First Order's rule, and even if the First Order does beat them, someone will still continue the fight elsewhere.
  • Face Death with Dignity: She and her people are prepared to die in the name of freedom, even when Kylo is about to strike her down with his lightsaber. Kylo decides to deny her that luxury so that she can suffer for standing up against him.
  • No Name Given: Kylo only calls her "the girl" and a "radical".
  • Not Worth Killing: As she claims she and her people would rather die free, Kylo decides not to kill her and leaves her to the mercy of his Stormtroopers, as he sees letting her live while subjugated as the best way to make her suffer for defying him.
  • You Cannot Kill An Idea: She tells Kylo that even if he silences the rebellion on her world, word will still go out to another planet and they'll be inspired by them to resist the First Order too.

    Lony Coleema

Sister Lony Coleema

Species: Grand-Engineer

Appearances: Annual #1 (2020): "A Rebel Bounty"

A Grand-Engineer, an extremely rare species or group of people with technopath powers. A former member of the Grand-Engineer's Order of the Sight voltiac, she left to fight against the Empire after learning of their malicious use of technology such as with the Death Star.

  • Badass Boast: After she goes into Super Mode in response to IG-11 mind-probing her.
"I am Lony Coleema of the Sight Voltiac! We who have observed the life of the universe as it courses from star to planet to life and back to star! We who have channeled the light of creation into metal and glass — that the knowledge of the universe never be lost! Who are you to lay your hands on me?! You have forgotten yourself! You have forgotten the secret light!"
  • Green-Skinned Space Babe: She's an alien with light blue skin and she's fairly attractive.
  • Damsel out of Distress: She gets caught by IG-11, who then mind-probes her to gain secrets about her technopathy, only to accidentally set her mind off and cause her to go into Super Mode.
  • MacGuffin Super-Person: She's a technopath, causing her to get targeted by Jabba the Hutt and his bounty hunters.
  • Super Mode: Goes into one after IG-11 mindrapes her, and she sets off a large, deadly light that leaves IG-11 with ashface.
  • Technopath: What a Grand-Engineer is. And since the Star Wars setting is very technology-based, this makes Lony an especially valuable target.
