Team Sonic:
Sonic started it all when he made his first appearance on South Island 5 years ago. Since then, he's been the one to lead the group into adventures and defeat any dangers that may come their way. As the leader of Team Sonic, he's the one most of the team looks up to give the best plan, to... varying results.
After Team Sonic split apart and came back together, Sonic is in a lot of hot water and is often seen as the one at fault for a lot of situations. He struggles with leadership and often gets into fights with Shadow.
- Age Lift: In the games, Sonic is 15. Here, he's 17.
- The Leader: He's the one who leads Team Sonic.
- The Scapegoat: Whatever it is that caused Team Sonic's split, Sonic is the one who receives the most blame from most of the old members.
- Super-Speed: Wouldn't be Sonic without it. He's called "the fastest thing alive" for a reason, after all.
Before meeting Sonic, Tails grew up on West Side Island, where he was subject to harsh bullying. It didn't end until Sonic came into his life. From that point on, Tails' wanted nothing more than to follow Sonic and be just like him. In time, with years of following his surrogate brother and gaining a family in Team Sonic, he proved that he didn't need to be like Sonic. He could be his own person who was capable of doing things only he could do and this made him a valuable asset to the team and the world at large.
Following the events of the split, Tails decided to remain at Sonic's side and venture with him as a duo. Having to get Team Sonic back together again, Tails refills his role as a resident tech and often a voice of reason for the group.
- Age Lift: In the games, Tails is 8. In this series, he's 14.
- All of the Other Reindeer: Before he met Sonic, he was bullied a lot.
- Arm Cannon: In his character art, he has one on his left arm as a weapon.
- Cute Little Fangs: He sports a noticeable pair, now.

- Undying Loyalty: The only member of Team Sonic to stick with Sonic after the split.
Knuckles grew up on Angel Island as the sole guardian of Master Emerald, only for Sonic to come into his life and allow him to go on his own adventures and join Team Sonic.
After the team broke up, Knuckles returned to Angel Island and resume his duties as Guardian of Master Emerald. However, he was dragged back into Team Sonic once again. The echidna is as he always is: hot-head and willing to get into a fight, especially if he thinks someone is at fault for it.
- Age Lift: In the games, Knuckles is 16. He's 18 in this series.
- Blood Knight:
- Call-Back: His new gloves resemble the Shovel Claws from Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.
- Facial Markings: He has white markings on his cheeks.
- Hot-Blooded:
Back in the day, Amy Rose was once kidnapped by Metal Sonic and forced into the clutches of Dr. Eggman. She was saved by Sonic, and she developed a bit of an obsession with him. That obsession slowly took time to grow into a strong relationship with him, which could have lead to something more...
Following the split, Amy wants nothing to do with Sonic or any of the team, aside from Cream. But with the severity of Eggman's return, she reluctantly agrees to rejoin them.
- Age Lift: In the games, Amy is 12. In this series, she's 15.
- Call-Back: She wears the Warrior Feather, an accessory from Sonic Adventure.
- Cute Bruiser: According to
Word of God, she is the strongest member of the Team, just don't tell that to Knuckles or Shadow. - Furry Female Mane: Her quills have grown out significantly and look more like hair.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: It's very telling how bad Team Sonic's split was if Amy wants absolutely nothing to do with Sonic.
Cream the Rabbit was a shy and polite rabbit who was raised to have a pretty normal life, living under her mother and with her friend, a Chao named Cheese. However, when Eggman kidnapped her mother, she was quick to join Team Sonic. She proved she was more than capable of protecting those she loved, and that helped her become friends with Amy and the rest of the team.
Afterward, Cream is a very different person than she was as a young child. Still sweet and lovable, the young rabbit now has a bit of a bite to her that can come in handy sometimes. Wanting nothing more than her friends to come back together, she does what she can to help keep the group together.
- Age Lift: In the games, Cream is 6. This series ages her up to 13.
- Cheerful Child:
Shadow is the Ultimate Lifeform, created by Dr. Gerald Robotnik, with the help of some alien DNA by Black Doom. With his role in Team Sonic, Shadow is the member most affiliated with GUN with Rouge, as both of them are official agents of the organization. He and Rouge usually act as a go-between for Team Sonic and GUN.
Following the events of the split, he and Rouge continue to work for GUN. With Team Sonic getting back together, Shadow... isn't the happiest. The team didn't work out last time, he has to take orders from Sonic, and he'd much rather do things his way.
Starting as an agent for GUN, it wasn't long until Rouge ended up becoming a member of Team Sonic, and the unofficial best friend for Shadow.
Following the split, Rouge and Shadow stuck by one another's side and continued doing missions for GUN. Now, the bat often acts as another voice of reason for the group, especially for Shadow.
- Age Lift: In the games, Rouge is 18. Here, she's 19.
Silver comes from the distant future, where the world was cast into ruin. Preferring to stay in the past with his new friends, Silver decided to do that and officially became a member of the team.
With how things are going now, the poor hedgehog can hardly catch a break with all the fighting. If it's not the world-ending catastrophes in the future, it's the bickering between his friends.
- Age Lift: In the games, Silver is officially 14. He's now 16 in this series.
- The Chew Toy: TheLyokoGem implies this in "What is SCA?"
- Only Sane Man: Described as the Mediator of the group.
The princess of the Sol Dimension joined up with Sonic and his friends after her world and Sonic's world collided with one another. Now a member of Team Sonic, she's usually the one who brings a lot of firepower to battles.
After the split, Blaze decided to live a life completely separate from Team Sonic but understands the need to return after Eggman's return. While she's one of the more mature ones in the group, she still has misgivings and will be one to defuse situations, or even respond and fight for them.
- Age Lift: In the games, Blaze is 14. Although her age isn't confirmed yet, she could be 16 since she shares the same age as Silver in the games.
