Time Travelers
Time travelers from the modern day.

     Shizuko Ayanokouji
A simple high school girl who was spirited away to Japan's Sengoku period. As her grandfather is a famed agricultural scientist, Shizuko is well versed in crop cultivation, horticulture and, to a lesser extent, animal husbandry.
  • Adopted into Royalty: Close. After being adopted by Konoe Sakahisa, Shizuko is all but royalty.
  • Inventor of the Mundane: Shizuko prefers to share her knowledge of agriculture tools and mundane goods. In Sengoku Japan, many of these become important luxury goods that immensely increase the Oda Clan's wealth.
  • Long Game: The Oda Clan retainers think that Shizuko was running one of these. When she explained the concept of a logistics train to them, they assume that all her actions up to that point were nothing but steps leading up to the realization of one for the Oda. Given that this would basically allow the Oda to maintain a field army of much larger size and for a much longer duration than their rivals, its is certainly a decisive edge.
  • Technical Pacifist: Although aware that her actions have greatly contributed to the Oda's clan military success, making her indirectly responsible for plenty of deaths, Shizuko still cannot bring herself to personally take a human life even when threatened. This is no longer the case as of chapter 49, when she personally takes the life of the Ikko-Ikki commander in the Asakura army.
     Ashimitsu
A mysterious man that Shizuko's family encountered on a road. Found holding a katana and having no memories of his past, Ashimitsu was taken in by the Ayanokoji household. Also brought to Sengoku Japan, he would later regain his memory. His real identity is that of the thought to be deceased Shogun Ashikaga Yoshiteru
  • Adopted to the House: The Ayanokouji family all but adopted Ashimitsu into the fold as he was an amnesiac with nowhere else to go.
  • Honorary Uncle: To Shizuko and presumably to the rest of the Ayanokouji children.
  • Iconic Item: Nouhime recognizes him due to his katana, Mikazuki Munechika. As one of the Tenka-Goken, it is a national treasure that was last in the hands of Ashikaga Yoshiteru, the 13th Ashikaga Shogun.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Shizuko who is both a benefactor and mentor who helped him adjust to the modern world.
     Mitsuo Tanaka
A fellow time traveler whose possessions wind up in Shizuko's hands. He was an employee of a livestock firm and was consulting Shizuko's grandfather on a related matter when he was spirited away to Sengoku Japan.
  • Accidental Marriage: Even he is flabbergasted as how winning a drinking contest results in him being married to Shimazu Tsuru.
  • Closest Thing We Got: Although he played an administrative role, Mitsuo is placed in charge of animal husbandry as he is the only one of the time travelers who has any practical knowledge of the subject.
  • Never Gets Drunk: With the constitution of a typical Japanese salaryman, Mitsuo has managed to outdrink everyone he has so far encountered in Sengoku Japan.
