Characters / Sabres Of Infinity Club Members

Go To

Back to the character index here.

Characters who made their appearance in Aetorian political clubs. Currently, there are five clubs that a Lord of Cortes can participate without ruining their reputation. Coincidentally, these five clubs made up the majority of the political factions and conflicts within Tierran government.

As of now, only those characters who were first offically introduced in Lords of Infinity were present in the page.

     Rendower Club
The most prestigious club in the Capital. The only qualification of entering the club is to be related to House of Rendower.
  • Smoky Gentlemen's Club: What really makes it stands out is that the sole qualification of joining this club is to be related to House Rendower, the royal family. Fortunately, given how Rendower had been spreading its seeds over the past centuries, it is not as hard as one may think. Even an Aetorian MC is related to Rendower by marrying into Rendower's cadet's branch thirteen generations ago. Of course, since Rendower had more branches than its lineage documents could count, it won't raise too much of an eyebrow if someone tried to forge his royal lineage to get in.
  • Irony: For a club that bears the name of the royal house, they are the major opposition to the Crown's policy.

Balthasar d'al Meran

A prominent member of Rendower Club. An old baron in his sixties with a mediocre life. He is known to be a gambler and a dilettante throughout Aetoria. Sometime, he will act on his duty as a politician, though much to everyone's dismay.
  • Upper-Class Twit: An classic example of this. In fact, his mild personality is the only reason he does not get the hate that Lieutenant Carrecourt got.
  • Idle Rich: Zigzaged. He still tried to do some work to meet his end— by gambling in card game big time. He is good, but not good enough to make it a stable job. Adding on to that, MC had rarely saw him putting on his pants before noon.
  • Shameless Self-Promoter: He will not hesitate to take the credit for your effort during the final battle, or shifting blame when casualties occurs. Not surprising from someone with little achievement made for his entire life, and eager to be in the center of attention. Fortunately, everyone else can see right through that.
     Admiralty Club
A political club for the most prestigious officers of Tierra military. That is to say, only officers of navy, marine, or grenadier are allowed.
  • Inter-Service Rivalry: One reason that the club opposes the Crown's policies is that King Miguel favors army over navy, much to their dismay.
  • Elite Army: All of the club members are from Royal Marine or Grenadiers, which are considered the best trained or well equipped reigement in Tierran Army. That exclusiveness is briefly broken when you got accepted.

Havelock d'al Englessy

The captain of HMS Malicious, nephew of Earl Crittenden. A friendly young fellow who greet you on your visit to the club.Nepotism: He won Gryphon of Rendower, the highest military award, at the age of 20, and was captain of the most advanced frigate in the navy at the age of 21. Part of the reasons is due to his uncle being Earl of Crittenden, the most senior officer in the navy.Friendly Rivalry: Despite being a naval officer, he hold no prejudice against army officers. Not only is he the first naval officer to offer you his welcome when you join the club, he may also be the one who convinced you to do so in the first place.

James d'al Matheson, Baron Matheson

The head of the Admirality Club, he is a veteran during the Dozen Year War, and had a solid reputation in his military career.
  • Badass Bookworm: He commanded a brigade during the Second Battle of Kharangia, known for his hot temper and formidable courage. Yet, we barely see him during the game, since he usually kept to himself at the attic, with his books.
  • Recurring Extra: He had been mentioned by other characters as a legendary marine officer, yet we neither see him or talk to him throughout the game.
     Shipowner Club
The only political club of the five that allows baneless(or commoners) to become its member. Rarely interfere in Tierran politics, unless there is a profit.
  • The Neutral Zone: The discussion in this club is less guided by political ideology in Aetoria, but more on practical gain in wealth.
  • Buy Them Off: you can choose to invest your money into the club as a show of your dedication to the club. The more you invest, the more influence you will get.

Mortimer Blanco

A junior broker looking to make his career in banking and stock exchange. Should you joined Shipowner, he will be your personal broker.
  • Genki Boy: As a apprentice broker who had recently become an independent broker, he is all too eager to show off his knowledge in finance.
  • Skilled, but Naive: despite his inexperience, he is well studied in investment, and he is also the one who comes up with the idea of the shorting scheme.
     Reform Club
The most radical political club of the Capital. While it does not allow commoner to enter, it is the only club where noblewomen are allowed.
  • Irony: The only reason that the club can talks about radical reformation openly is that they have the patronage of the Crown.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Despite their radical talk of reformation, most of club members believes that reformations would help the Crown to govern the country better. Some would even go out of their way to help the Crown to push their political agenda, for better or for worse.

Sir Hieronymus d'al Malacresta

A Knight-Aspirant of the Order of Saint Ignacio, who also served as the recruiter for the Reform Club.
     Oversea Club
The latest club founded by war hero Auguste d'al Palliser. This is the club for veteran of Dozen Year War. Socially, it is a safe haven for veterans officers that struggles to settle down during peace time. Politically, it is the voting bloc that defends the interest of the Army.
  • Returning War Vet: The club is made up entirely by such men. These veteran found themselves more comfortable to be with its wartime comrades than those during their Pre-War Civilian Career. Palliser, for example, gave up his former membership Rendower Club, and form Oversea Club instead.

Carolus d'al Montaigne

Captain of 5th of foot. Currently on half-pay. His soldierly habit made Overseas a home for him.
  • Thrill Seeker: Despite retired from the war, he seeking excitement in the city, he found prizefighting as a course to fulfill that desire.
  • Establishing Character Moment: His introduction painted a comprehensive picture of a baneblood officer who are uncomfortable with settling down for peacetime, while introducing you with a opportunity to fight in the ring yourself.
