A sporty paperboy who’s actually a reporter.
  • Big "OMG!": He express this in 4 when he faces a small misfortune.
  • The Bus Came Back: Fourteen years after his appearance in 4, he finally becomes playable again in the spinoff 4 Fun.
  • Cool Board: He moves around with a skateboard in 3, rides one when delivering a package in 4’s credits, and rides one as his scooter and a hoverboard as his car in 11.
  • Demoted to Extra: Appears in Miss Money’s opeing from 8’s Story Mode, shown to sell his ticket to the Richman Tournament to Salonbus.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: Unlike his later appearances, he doesn't wear a hat in 3.
  • Expy: His design in 3 is based on Macaulay Culkin, and in his winning screen, he referenced one of Culkin’s poses from the poster of Home Alone.
  • Genki Boy: He’s a cute boy who can be loud but also energetic, and he likes to play sports.
  • Gratuitous English: Speaks English in all games he's in.note 
  • No-Sell: He’s immune to Sleepwalk in 11.
  • Sweet Tooth: In 4, he is set to have lolipops as his favorite food. In 10 Miss Money tries to make him happy by buying some candies for him (and it works), and one of his talents in 11 is to double the range of banana peels and wall-jellies, implying that he probably likes bananas and jellies too.
  • Youthful Freckles: He has some on his face in 10 and 11.

An emirate from the middle east who loves Miss Money.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: He really loves Miss Money, which goes on the latter’s nerves as she detests fat people.
  • Arab Oil Sheikh: He even calls himself "the Oil Tycoon" when the game starts!
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: Has large eyebrows in most apperances.
  • Black Bead Eyes: He has those during his appearances from 7, 8, 4 Fun and 9.
  • Counting Sheep: As he uses images instead of texts for his dialogues in 3, when he is put to sleep, it shows an image of sheep jumping over a fence.
  • Did Not Get the Girl: Most of his attempts to woo Miss Money end up being a failure. The closest he's got to getting her was in 10 where Miss Money tells him that she'll reconsider if he loses some more weight, but that could simply be Miss Money not wanting Salonbus to bother her.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: He’s much thinner in 3 compare to his later rounder self.
  • Fat Bastard: Not only he looks fat, but he can also be schemy sometimes when attacking other characters.
    Salonbus: [when placing a landmine] Heh Heh!
  • Magic Carpet: Rides one as his car in 6 (base game) and 11.
  • Shout-Out:
    • His name is based on Salonpas, a Japanese medicine.
    • He has a variation on the mobile version of Fight that is clearly a reference to Thanos. Its activated ability even has an Infinity Gauntlet on it, and the ability's effect is to cut both him and his enemy's HP and chips in half!
  • Tempting Fate: Can be invoked on himself when he warns others not to think about his recently built max-level house.
