Nova Artino
- Action Girl: She often saves the other members of the team and is frequently involved in fights.
- Beneath the Mask: She pretends to love the Renegades when she is acting as Insomnia, a renegade, but secretly hates them.
- Forced Sleep: Her other power. She is able to put anyone to sleep with her touch, with the exception of herself.
- The Sleepless: One of her powers. She is unable to sleep and is incapable of becoming tired.
- Double Agent: She is initially sent to the Renegades to spy on them, but she sometimes fights against the Anarchists with them in order to gain their trust, such as when she kills Ingrid when she is about to reveal her secret identity.
- In Love with the Mark: She falls in love with Adrian Everhart, the son of Captain Chromium, the man she is trying to assassinate.
- Secret Identity: Nightmare, an Anarchist.
- Second Super-Identity: Her real name is Nova Artino, but she goes by Insomnia, Nightmare, and Nova McClain in various parts of the book.
