J.J.

Voiced by: Toshihiko Seki

  • Born Lucky: GOD how many times this guy survives impossible situations that would get even the bigest badasses killed simply because of a silly slipup due to clumsiness or his pranks and stupidities.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Deconstructed and played for laughs simultaneously. Often around single ladies he gets smacked around hilariously or teased to the point of humiliation as often seen in his flirty talk with Apple. However many times he has the bad luck of choosing a girl who already is in a relationship or has an overprotective nearby male acquaintance or relative and he often gets a (funny but also somewhat painful) asskicking.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: A goofball who makes lots of clumsy mistakes who is often tardy at showing up at work as well as a big prankster..... BUT he is a fucking genius at surviving calamities when shit hits the fan. This can be summed up in the first episode where he TAKES on a Nohza soldier UNARMED and literallly spends the whole episode evading an ENTIRE COMPANY until Apple and Champ rescues him, He even ends the episode by DESTROYING a small Nohza SHIP with one shot.
  • Hot-Blooded
  • Jack of All Stats: In the first Sega Master System game. Actually borders as Master of None because his stats are so pitifully weak at the start of the game and one would have to find the upgrades scattered throughout the game to even get the necessary abilities to even pass certain rooms and puzzles.
    • Lightning Bruiser: However should the player find most of the upgrades in the game, he becomes so overpowered that the final stage becomes an Anticlimax Boss and J.J. even has the potential have surpassing Champ's and Apple's specialties by a great margin.

Champ

  • Eagleland: Implied to have come from a region that bears resemblance to New York and he bears many American stereotypes such as blonde hair and badboy attitude.
  • Mighty Glacier: In the Master System games, Champ starts off with the strongest firepower and can defeat many strong enemies with a single blow but is offset with poor jumping ability and really slow speed.
  • Sniper Duel: Has one after being targetted at a French restaurant for assassination.

Apple

  • Action Girl
  • Badass in Distress: Several times she's taken hostage.
  • Fragile Speedster: In the Master System games, Apple starts off as the naturally fastest and most agile character, being able to jump far higher than J.J. and Champ, but has weaker defenses in comparison.

Baron Ricks

  • Handicapped Badass: Despite being severely weakened near the end of the series as a result of surviving the explosion of a ship and the upcoming Eclipse, he still manages to take on entire battalions with his sword, gives J.J. difficult duels during the final episodes, and even singlehandedly hold off against Elite Nozha soldiers (who the White Knights had such difficulty fighting with for an entire story arc) on his own.
  • Noble Demon: Refuses to kill J.J. when he was knocked unconscious and even saves his life from a Nozha elite during his final del with his rival.
