Playable Characters
Pradheep
Pradheep, the main protagonist
- Affectionate Nickname: Has multiple including, Prad, Praddy, and Pradley.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: Pradheep is reluctant (at best) to go on his continent saving adventure and often mentions how many better things he could be doing, such as playing Role-Playing Games by himself at his house.
- The Leader: By default, Pradheep is the party leader, although the player can actually choose any party member to have this position.
- Squishy Wizard: Being of the wizard class, Pradheep has relatively low defense and cannot wear armor.
- Black Mage: Pradheep can learn a variety of damaging spells, most notable are ones involving fire.
Sarah
Sarah, a priestess
- Action Girl: The most active female character in the whole story.
- White Mage: Sarah can cast the most powerful of healing spells. Since she can deal plenty of damage, she's also a Combat Medic
- Religious Bruiser: Sarah is a priestess who also kicks some ass. See also Blood Knight and High Priest
- Carry a Big Stick: Uses clubs, maces, and flails. And hammers.
Conor
Conor, a knight
- Likes Older Women: Implied by him and Joey. Exhibited when he flirts with the older sister of the boy who was lost in the forest.
- Chivalrous Pervert: Though not as perverted as Ethan, Conor makes some off-color comments as well. Unlike Ethan he actually helps women for the sake of it before expecting anything in return.
- Knight in Sour Armor: Like most of the characters, Conor is pretty nihilistic. Despite his mostly bleak view of the world he still fights for what is right. Is also actually the Knight class.
- Heroes Prefer Swords: Subverted: While he is the party member who uses swords is not (by default) the leader of the group.
- 24-Hour Armor: Always wears armor, even immediately before or after spending a night at the inn.
Joey
Joey, a paladin
- The Lancer: Figuratively and literally. Of the party members, he speaks the most besides Pradheep, usually playing off of him. In addition, he actually uses lances and spears as his weapons.
- Captain Obvious: Fills this role throughout much of the game.
- 24-Hour Armor: See Conor.
- The Paladin: Literally.
- Combat Medic: Can cast healing spells, though not as well as Sarah.
Jason
Jason, a bard.
- Soapbox Sadie: Proclaims his own "social liberal values" as his motivation for going along on the quest. Slight invoking of Straw Atheist and Straw Feminist as well.
- Quirky Bard: Jason plays some music that is not usually associated with a bard. For example, when the party sails on the ocean, he plays Ocean Man by Ween. Also see Elegant Classical Musician.
- Gentleman Snarker: Occasionally makes jokes about others, usually involving one or the other's musical skills.
- Crutch Character: At the time of his recruitment, Jason is one of the most powerful party members. However, later in the game, he becomes something of a liability, especially when Ethan shows up and Pradheep gains better items.
- Optional Party Member: It is not required to recruit Jason, although Joey recommends that the player does.
Ryan
Ryan, an archer
- Mistaken for Pedophile: Launches into a full length on the subject.
- Mistaken for Gay: Ryan is captured by the Mormon gang because they mistakenly thought he was gay.
- Camp Straight: His dialogue is indicative of this.
Ethan
Ethan, a samurai
- Lovable Sex Maniac: He might be obsessed with sex, but he is a loyal member of Pradheep's party and a strong fighter.
- The Big Guy: The most physically strong of the playable characters.
- Everything's Better with Samurai: Ethan is one of the most powerful characters and of the Samurai class.
- Katanas Are Just Better: Corrects people when they don't refer to his katanas by their proper titles.
- Professional Killer: Said in his character description to sell his sword to causes he finds worthy which may have included killing in the past.
- Only in It for the Money: See his character bio in game.
Mike
Mike, a monk
- Affectionate Nickname: Miku-chan.
- Courier: His job at the very beginning of the game.
- Ideal Hero: Unlike the protagonist Pradheep, Mike tends to exhibit more fully altruistic motivations and actions.
- Good Old Fisticuffs: Mike being of the Monk class fights with his fists.
- Absurdly Sharp Claws: The animations of his special moves show how sharp his clawed gloves are.
- Wolverine Claws: Mike's weapons are gloves fitted with claws made of various materials.
Jwong
Jwong, a thief
- Asian and Nerdy: Everyone is surprised to see that Jwong was Smellinore's intelligent spy, expect for Jason.Jason: Oh I called it. I knew Jwong would have to be a spy.Pradheep: Why is that?Jason: Because he is so good at memorizing info. Just look at his standardized test scores.
- Gentleman Thief: Thief class and dressed in a suit.
- Old Retainer: Implied to have served Queen Smelinore for quite some time and is the head of her espionage team.
- Only Knownby Their Nickname: His real name is Justin but most characters refer to him by his nickname Jwong.
David
David, a dark mage
- Black Magic: David is the only party member who can use the Dark Magic.
- Optional Party Member: Not only is his recruitment optional, but most players actually miss David altogether on their first play-through.
- Only in It for the Money: Lives a mercenary's life with his Heterosexual Life-Partner Ethan.
- Supreme Chef: Said to be very good at cooking.
Tori
Tori, a sage
Allies to Pradheep- Affectionate Nickname:Turkey
- Old Retainer: Implied to have served Queen Ellie for quite some time and is her handmaiden.
- Optional Party Member: Totally optional and has a not very easy to spot recruitment method.
Queen Ellie
- Affectionate Nickname: Called Smelinore by others. Has come to accept it and thus introduces herself with that moniker when she first summons Pradheep.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Saves the gang in a Justin Time rescue in the last act. Inverted with her brother, Prince Paul.
Prince Paul
- Idle Rich: Played straight. Literally does nothing but stand in the library of the castle the whole game.
Paul
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Is this to Joey
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Seeing how he does nothing but make a crude sex joke, you can guess which one he is.
