Beware of spoilers!

The various Mortys that will fill up your Morty Deck in Pocket Mortys. Some serve as a Call-Back to alternate universe Mortys in the show, while others are unique to the game.

  • Ambiguously Gay: Asleep Morty is under a spell which can only be broken by a kiss from a handsome Prince.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Mortaion Morty. This Morty has the body of a voluptuous woman but has the male symbol in their Morty Deck entry.
  • And I Must Scream: The description for Pickle Mortys imply that Rick took multiple Morty pickles (all of whom underwent transformations à la Pickle Rick), stuffed them in a jar of pickle water, and hid the jar behind a fake wall, with the Mortys not found until five years later by Jerry. Oh God.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: A theme with the Veiny Morty line. Veiny Morty, whose skin is disturbingly sticky and translucent, asked his Rick for help with his biology class, No Skin Morty asked his Rick for a powerful acne removal cream and Skeleton Morty asked for help with his Halloween costume. These requests all backfired spectacularly and permanently, and they've regretted making them ever since.
  • Body Horror: So many Mortys are horrible abominations:
    • The Cronenberg Morty is a seething pile of chaotic limbs and flesh, barely recognizable as a Morty at all.
    • The Host Morty line is made up of Mortys infested by a cordyceps-style parasitic fungus. Each member is progressively more rotten, until the final member in the line is just a withered, eyeless, dried-out husk with fungal tentacles branching out of his body.
    • The Test Mortys are malformed, fetus-like creatures.
    • Big Head Morty and his evolutions are just giant heads. The final evolution has a second head growing out of the first.
    • Double Morty and his evolutions are two or more Mortys fused to each other.
    • Veiny Morty has transparent skin, No-Skin Morty has no skin, and Skeleton Morty is a living skeleton.
    • Sausage Morty has no limbs, a result of going through a meat processing machine.
    • The Exo-Prime Morty has what appears to be a giant brain inside a transparent sac growing from his back.
    • The Hell Demon Morty has his skin peeled away from his body and worn like a cloak held up from his shoulders with pins, leaving his bones and organs exposed. He appears to be a Shout-Out to the cenobites from Hellraiser who are known for horrifically extreme body modifications.
  • Cats Are Mean: To Stray Cat Morty and Two Cat Morty. His orange tabby even has an Evil Grin! By the time he becomes Crazy Cat Morty, though, he's actually better at socializing with cats than he is with humans.
  • Classical Cyclops: Cyclops Morty, the evolved form of One Eye Morty, has a single giant eye, orange skin, large pointed ears and fangs.
  • Crazy Cat Lady: The Cat Mortys, with the final evolution even named "Crazy Cat Morty" and is no longer able to easily socialize with normal humans.
  • Cyclops: One Eye Morty is simply that — a Morty with a single eye in the middle of his forehead. He's apparently something of an outcast among other Mortys due to this. Cyclops Morty becomes a full Classical Cyclops.
  • The Dead Have Eyes: Skeleton Morty is a clean, bleached skeleton, but still retains full, working eyeballs.
  • Death Seeker: Geriatric Morty, who spends his days alone, looking at old photos of faces he no longer remembers and waiting to find the comfort of the grave.
  • Dem Bones: Skeleton Morty, who was reduced to a living skeleton after asking Rick for help with his Halloween costume.
  • Distaff Counterpart:
    • Morticia. She looks just like baseline Morty but with a slightly larger bust and shoulder-length hair. She also has the distinction of being one of the very few Mortys that doesn't follow the literal Tactical Rock–Paper–Scissors scheme.
    • There are also Girl Morty — apparently the twin sister of another Morty — and Mortaion Morty — a Green-Skinned Space Babe from a species of Always Female aliens "who all happen to look like Morty".
    • Roller Derby Morty is one to regular Morty, but also more directly one to Roller Disco Morty.
    • There's also Tammy Morty, who's Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
  • Energy Beings: Gaseous Morty is a cloud of living gas. Apparently the farts on his world can be really bad.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: Tired Morty and his evolutions have these.
  • The Exile: Cyclops Morty was exiled from his dimension in punishment for causing the explosion of a nuclear silo.
  • Expy:
  • Eyeless Face: No Eye Morty, who apparently lost his in some accident he refuses to talk about but which — predictably enough — involved Rick in some capacity.
  • Fire/Ice Duo: There are two such duos among the titular Mortys, based on increasing levels of extreme tempratures and with thematically appropriate elemental attacks.
    • Hot Morty and Cold Morty are, respectively, a sweaty Morty who's always too hot, warm to the touch and likes ice cream and cold breezes and a Morty in a scarf who's always too chilly, is cold to the touch and likes hot cocoa and warm comforters.
    • Hot Morty and Cold Morty can be evolved into Flaming Morty and Frozen Morty, who are respectively depicted as an orange and a light blue version of Morty covered in flames or icicles, and with more powerful elemental attacks. Their descriptions also note that Flaming Morty likes superheroes while Frozen Morty prefers supervillains, and they also have diametrically opposite origin stories: Flaming Morty was callously abandoned by his Rick in deep space where he was transformed by a massive dose of cosmic radiation, while Frozen Morty was transformed in a cryogenics accident while trying to save his Rick from a deadly disease.
  • Fish Person: Aqua Morty, a green-skinned, scaly, gilled and finned Morty who wears a water-filled helmet to live on land.
  • Fusion Dance: Most Mortys are part of an evolutionary tree consisting of three or more Mortys. If you have two of the same Morty, you can combine them at the Morty Daycare to form the next Morty in the chain. For example, four Old Mortys can be fused into two Geriatric Mortys, which can then be fused into a single Ancient Morty. In addition to evolving them, the new Morty has a higher level than his component parts. This only works when the Mortys have a stronger form to evolve into, however; Mortys at the top of the chain or ones with no evolution cannot be fused.
  • Green-Skinned Space Babe: Mortaion Morty, who comes from a world populated by beautiful alien sirens that all look like Morty.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Rabbit Morty, a large bipedal lop-eared bunny with Morty's face and clothes.
  • Heavy Sleeper: Asleep Morty, who is constantly sleeping, even while battling. Justified because he's under a spell.
  • Hobos: Hobo Morty, and to a lesser extent his two previous versions, Scruffy Morty and Unkempt Morty.
  • Improbable Weapon User:
    • Spoon Morty and his evolutions use a spoon, fork, and a spork in that order.
    • The Cat Mortys use stray cats.
  • Informed Attribute: The Morty Deck gives character descriptions for each kind of Morty, but these personality traits are never apparent in-game. For example, Morticia's profile describes her as determined and strong, but using her in a Morty battle has her be no more or less cowardly or reluctant to fight than any other Morty.
  • The Insomniac: Sleepy Morty is a mild example. He gets less than two hours of sleep a night, and it's affecting him badly.
  • Living Shadow: Shadow Morty, whose body has long since been buried.
  • Looks Like Orlok: Old One Morty has pallid grey skin, no hair and enormous batlike ears, which are the object of mockery among other vampire Mortys.
  • Magikarp Power: The Egg Morty, which is functionally useless in combat until it evolves into the One True Morty, the most powerful Morty of the game.
  • Man-Eating Plant: The Mortydrangea was created as the result of a Morty of the Valley — a three-headed plant-Morty hybrid created by Rick in an attempt to bioengineer a cheap source of cooking oil — gaining a taste for human flesh. Its model shows it holding a human skull and Stock Femur Bone in its vines.
  • Mutants:
    • The Exo Mortys are blue-skinned mutants with antennae, growing more horrific with each evolution.
    • Reverse Mermaid Morty is a fishman made as a result of a Rick trying to create Mermaid Morty.
  • Non-Elemental: Of the three types of rock, paper and scissors, Regular Morty, Cronenberg Morty, Spacesuit Morty, and Morticia are the only Mortys that are under neither of the types, so they have no weakness or resistance.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Ghostly and Phantom Morty are ghosts who appear when ludicrously specific rituals are done, while Spooky Morty is a normal Morty wearing a bedsheet.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: Mermaid Morty is just Morty as a merman, while Reverse Mermaid Morty is a giant fish head with human legs. There's also Aqua Morty, who is a fish person.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: The Vampire Morty line covers a good breadth of this trope's variants. New Blood Morty is a romantic vampire in fine clothes, looking melancholy and holding a rose, who turned into a vampire to become more attractive to girls. Count Morty has green skin and slightly pointed ears, and gave up drinking blood to become a children's entertainer. Old One Morty Looks Like Orlok, wears a long black robe and is apparently the ruler of all vampire Mortys.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: The Dog Bite Morty line, which starts with a Morty being bitten by a dog, then Dog Morty, a Morty who's a giant anthropomorphic dog, and finally Werewolf Morty, who has fully transformed into a slavering wolf-man.
  • Plant Person: The Seedling Morty and its evolutions, the Morty of the Valley and the Mortydrangea, are plants with Morty-like heads growing from their flowers.
  • Shameless Self-Promoter: The Jerry's Game Morty and the Pocket Mortys Morty.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Morticia, until Girl Morty was added, was the only female Morty in the game. Counting the later additions of Mortaion Morty, Tammy Morty, Roller Derby Morty (a Morticia in a specific outfit), Princess Morty, and Queen Morty, there are still only seven female variants of Morty among over four hundred mostly male Mortys.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Old Morty looks like a short and decrepit version of Rick.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Frozen Morty has an attack called "Let it Go".
    • Girl Morty is the Mabel Pines version of Morty who had a background cameo in "The Rickshank Redemption" alongside her twin brother. Her nature as a Shout-Out character is lampshaded by her character description saying that she likes to make references to other shows.
    • Miami Rick's outfit of a pastel pink coat over a blue t-shirt references Crockett's distinctive style in Miami Vice.
    • Guilty Rick is holding a Morty skull in a possible nod to Hamlet.
    • Rabbit Morty started out as presumably a regular Morty, until he was bit by a radioactive rabbit.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: Purge Morty, who is male but dressed as Arthricia from the Purge episode in a dress and pinafore.
