Alex (Alexis)
The protagonist of the story, Alex is a 20 year old female hybrid, born to a prostitute and an unknown father. Was a member of the West Street Gang, before leaving to become a member of the Messengers Guild. Dominating, determined and bloodthirsty, she nevertheless holds a soft spot for those in need, and has a like for the kind and helpful.
Tropes:
- Always Save the Girl: She tends to help people in trouble when they appear before her.
- Anti-Hero: Alex is brutal, conniving and gets aroused by hurting people. She's also caring and protective of those close to her, and wishes the city was a better place.
- Benevolent Boss: Alex treats her slave, Lilith, with kindness, and willing to pay large amounts of money for her education.
- Blood Knight: Finds fights that are too easy "boring".
- Blood Magic: Possessed a natural talent that was bolstered when Marked by the Blood God.
- Casual Kink: Is into BDSM, though it doesn't feature much.
- Combat Pragmatist: Definitely, will use pretty much anything to win if needed, or the mood strikes her.
- Convenient Coma: Ends up in a coma for 5 days.
- Cosmic Plaything: The God of Fate apparently has a "role" for Alex to play.
- Daughter of a Whore: Alex is the daughter of prostitute, and a non-human client. She has no problems with this, nor with the expectation she would follow in her footstep, though she ultimately didn't.
- Draconic Humanoid: As a Half-Dragon, has the ability to switch between a purely human form, and a half-dragon form.
- Feed It with Fire: Alex gains power from Lust, so magic or special abilities that utilize or invoke Lust are completely useless to her. She even uses the comparison of trying to use a Fireball on a Fire Elemental.
- Flash Step: A result of possessing super-speed without super-reflexes forces Alex to move in short bursts.
- Gladiator Games: Has a job as a gladiator.
- Half-Human Hybrid: Half-Dragon, as it turns out.
- Hero Killer: Her Tier 5 class, with the unlock requirements for it's Tier 6 evolution being to kill every Hero, True Hero and Legendary Hero in the world.
- Interplay of Sex and Violence: Alex once even mentions that tend Sex and Violence tends to blur together for her.
- Love Is in the Air: A power granted by her Lust Dragon heritage.
- Required Secondary Powers: Lacks them for her super-speed. It causes...issues.
- Scaled Up: Has a spell that turns her into a tiny Dragon, and a book which offers more, up-to One-Winged Angel versions.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: Outright mentions she has no shame.
- Unscrupulous Hero: Cannot be stated enough: she's extremely brutal.
Lilith
A 22 year old Elven slave, Lilith was raised as a slave, under a kind(?) master, who later sold her to Johnson, who utilized her as a sex slave, which became difficult when she began to summon a Pain Elemental every night unconsciously. On the verge of being disposed of, she encountered Alex, who helped her with her problems.

- The Blacksmith: Her father was a smith, and she picked up some of it.
- The Caretaker: Of Della, ensuring her issues are kept under control.
- Deceased Parents Are the Best: Her parents died 3 years ago during the Necromancer uprising.
- Elemental Embodiment: Has an innate talent with using them.
- Happiness in Slavery: Was definitely not this under Johnson, but is this under Alex.
- The Gift: Has a natural talent for magic, specifically Elementalism.
- Never Learned to Read: As a slave, it was never regarded as important. Alex pays for lessons to fix this. She eventually overcomes it.
- Sex Slave: A former one.
- Summon Magic: More specifically, of Elementals.
Winter
A Dragonbone Golem created by Matilda, originally going by the name Morticia, Winter now serves under Alex.

- Become a Real Girl: Has a hidden "sentience" stat, which in-universe speculation is the development of soul of her own.
- Frankenstein's Monster: Made from corpses and powered by Lightning?
- Grim Reaper: Is made from corpses, gains knowledge and skills from souls, is skilled with a Scythe, was powered by souls, and was called Morticia.
- Powered by a Forsaken Child: Was made from people Mailda had murdered, and was powered by souls. Now runs on lightning.
- Robot Girl: A magical version, made from corpses.
Della
A Adventurer slave given to Alex as a reward for defeating Vivian, Della is a level 1 Duellist.
Tropes:
- Fan Disservice: A masochistic slave-girl? Hot. A girl broken by her life as a slave to the point that after doing a nigh-suicidal act, ends up masturbating with cheese wire, nearly dying from blood loss as a result? Horrifying. That same girl breaking down at how fucked-up she is right afterwards? Horrifying.
- Nightmare Fetishist: Is a masochist to an insane degree. Emphasis on the insane.
- Orgasmic Combat: Get's off on being hurt in combat.
- Reluctant Psycho: Suffers from self-destructive behaviour born from the destruction of her life and subsequent brutal enslavement. Lilith acts to keep her from killing or maiming herself.
- Too Kinky to Torture: Mentioned as a "discipline problem", due to the fact that she got off on it. According to the creator, this was a survival method
to endure her experiences as slave.- And it only gets worse. Lilith, and more recently Alex, have to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't end up seriously injuring her, and rein in her self-destructive urges.
Jemma
The daughter of a rich slave trader, Jemma saved up and became an adventurer, along with 5 others, becoming a Fighter. Seeks to change things in the city, especially the slave trade. Has a crush on Alex. Was kidnapped by the Blood God, under who she suffered great torment, including being tortured to death no less then 5 times. Currently a guest of the Overlord Osiris, who is providing her therapy.

- Break the Cutie: Idealistic and kind, the Blood God did a number on her mental state.
- Defeat Means Friendship: Meet Alex in a exhibition match in the Arena, Alex vs 6 new Adventurers. Alex won.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Chose to take the place of Alex as the Blood Gods new toy.
- Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Is rather more skilled at the shield then the sword.
- Running Gag: She keeps on losing hold of her sword. She eventually gives up, and seeks to find a weapon better for her.
- There Are No Therapists: Averted. After her experiences with the Blood God, she undergoes therapy.
Tim
A friend of Jemma's, Time became a Cleric. Since then, has done some training under Alex. Usually seen with Jemma.
Tropes:
- Ambiguously Gay: When Alex suffered clothing damage, Tim had no reaction to her bare chest.
- Combat Medic: As a Cleric, he heals people, and can fire lightning.
- Defeat Means Friendship: Meet Alex in a exhibition match in the Arena, Alex vs 6 new Adventurers. Alex won.
Edgar
An 87 year old mage, Edgar has learned more about magic then most Adventurers ever will. Meet Alex while drunk, and after Alex solved his riddle, made her his apprentice.

- The Alcoholic: After the failure of his life's work, he turned to alcohol.
- The Archmage: According the GM, Edgar is close to qualifying for Archmage.
- Cool Old Guy: 87 years old, bad back, powerful enough to crush most people with ease, despite not being an Adventurer.
- Elemental Powers: Has mastered the basic elements of Fire, Earth, Wind and Water.
- Immortality Seeker: His life's work. After it failed, he burned all his books and started drinking.
- Taken for Granite: Desire's Alex to do this to him some time in the future, so that he can pass the ages until someone figures out immortality.
Neriel
A human/angel Hybrid, Neriel originally served the God of Joy, before converting to the God of Life for the bonuses. She is a level 3 Druid.
Tropes:
- Back from the Dead: Due to her angelic nature, Necromancy resurrects her instead of making her a zombie. Leading to...
- Damsel in Distress: Was held captive by the Lich Xicles, naked, bound and with her tongue cut out.
Alexander Drummas
A lust dragon, and the Dragon Guard of the Treasury in the City of Peace. Only discovered Alex's existence during the story, when he's stuck on-shift for the next several decades.
Tropes:
- Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: Was unaware he'd had a second daughter, until he heard about a half-dragon girl walking about the city. Since he was the only male dragon to have been in the city in the past 30 years, the timings matched when he visited and the girl was a known native, figuring it out was rather easy.
- Love Is in the Air: Lust Dragons can emit magical pheromones. He apparently once released them by accident in a restaurant, fortunately without any major issues.
Tally
Alex's half-sister, was sent to give Alex a book of Dragon Magic, and a standing offer to visit their father.
Tropes:
- Better as Sisters: Had no problem with the idea of incest, but desired a more sisterly relationship, and believed adding anything more would make things different. It doesn't stick.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Admits she has problems with her lovers sleeping around, and that it's Hypocritical of her, which she's trying to fix.
- Kissing Under the Influence: Ends up having sex with Alex while affected by magical pheromones.
- Love Is in the Air: Possesses the ability to release pheromones. Is not, however, immune to them.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: Like Alex, has absolutely no shame. Mentions it's useful, as she doesn't have Magic Pants to preserve her modesty.
- Sibling Incest: Has no problems with the idea of incest, and came close to have sex with her father and Alex on separate occasions. Eventually ends up doing it with Alex anyway.
Mrs Blackwell
An 80 year old alchemist, "Blackie" used to supply the Velvet Bustier with potions in return for services. After the Velvet Bustier burned down, offered Alex refuge, advice, some equipment and arranged for an apartment. Has recently decided to become an Adventurer.

- Dirty Old Woman: Is still randy as an old woman.
- Fountain of Youth: Uses Youth Potions to appear as a 20 year old woman, which is the form she uses for "fun". Only works for 18 hours, though, and can only be taken once every 24 hours.
The Messengers Guild
All messengers in the city are part of the Guild.

- Le Parkour: Offers this to members.
- Tricked-Out Shoes: Has it's own store that offers Enchanted Shoes for sale.
Michel
A half-Seraphim, half-Harpy member of the Church of Light, Michel likes helping people. After saving Alex's life, Alex has sought to befriend her.
Tropes:
- An Arm and a Leg: Had her wings cut off to stop her from using them.
- Cute Monster Girl: Is utterly adorable.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Had her wings cut off, stuffed into a Bag of Holding (bad for the living), exposed to some brutal sights and her friend went into a coma. She requested for her memories to be removed afterwards, though she kept a record of what happened.
- Winged Humanoid: Has six-wings, like a Seraphim, but they replace her arms, like a harpy. It causes her difficulties.
Brian
A former slave who won his freedom in the Arena, then became an Adventurer as a Gladiator. Teaches non-standard weaponry, and meets Alex every Wednesday for sex.
Tropes:
- Gladiator Games: His former and sometimes current job, along with his class.
Donneric
The leader of the End Street Gang, Donneric murdered Alex's mother and her friends, then sold their bodies to a Necromancer, ensuring they could never be resurrected. Has a mutual vendetta with Alex. Joined a group that sought to kidnap Michel, then sell her to be sacrificed. Is now dead, at Alex's hands.

- Casanova Wannabe: The class above Thief, Rogue, requires you to steal someone's heart(aka, seduce them into loving you, without you loving them back). He's sore about not being able to manage it.
- Off with His Head!: Alex ripped his head off, Spine Rip style.
- Thief: A level 8 Thief.
Timothy
A lieutenant of Donneric and a level 3 Brawler. Killed by Alex when he tried to ambush her.
Tropes:
- Brawler: Brawler is the base class for Fighter.
Matilda
A lieutenant of Donneric, and a level 2 Artificier. Killed by Alex after an attempted ambush.
Tropes:
- Cyborg: Modified her own body with various upgrades.
- Gadgeteer Genius: Magic based, but apparently admired Dwarves.
- Powered by a Forsaken Child: Killed people to make Winter.
Vivian The Seductress, The High Priestess of the Lady of Lust
A member of a group of farmers that attacked a slave traders mansion, apparently to free the slaves. Was killed by Alex. spoiler:Was in fact the High Priestess of the Church of Lust, seeking to kill their rival for high-class sex slaves.
Tropes:
- Compelling Voice: Had the ability to manipulate and seduce people by talking. Completely failed against Alex.
- Crying Wolf: Manipulated three guards into "raping" her, while she poisoned them. Alex even comments this was horrible thing to do.
- Trouser Space: Apparently stored a knife up her genitals.
- Summon Magic: Tried to summon a demon, causing Alex to snap her neck.
The Summoner
A member of a group that included Donneric, the Berserker and the half-Griffon. A high-level Adventurer. Killed by Alex.
Tropes:
- And Show It to You: How Alex kills him.
- Summon Magic: His specialty, involving one powerful summon and lots of weaker ones.
- Teleport Spam: Uses Teleportation to attack and escape.
The Berserker
A member of the above mentioned group. Killed by Father Frederic and Winter.
Tropes:
- Dual Wielding: Twin Great-Axes.
- Only a Flesh Wound: The special ability of the Berserker class is the ability to ignore wounds. Even having half your head blown-off.
Xicles the Lich/Necromancer
The Mastermind behind the destruction of the Velvet Bustier and the West Street Gang. Fled the city after being revealed as a Necromancer, during the process of becoming a Lich. Killed by Azniel, who revealed to Alex that Xicles was a spy for the Overlord Osiris who had gone rogue.
Tropes:
- The Mole: According to Azniel, this was his job before he went rogue.
- Necromancer: His original class.
- Our Liches Are Different: His upgraded class.
The Nameless God of Blood
One of the Gods, infamous for his unprovoked slaughters and general nastiness. Detected Alex gaining the Hero Killer class, and decided to make her his new champion/servant/toy. After Azniel convinced him not to take Alex, he took Jemma instead.
Tropes:
- Ax-Crazy: He's the Blood God. Rather obvious.
- Full-Frontal Assault: Goes naked except for a belt of severed heads.
- Jerkass Gods: He's famous for his mass killings, and Interitio has stated he dislikes going too long before bloodbaths.
- Training from Hell: He forces people to fight monsters continually, without sleep or sustenance, until they eventually fail. He then heals them, tortures them to death in the way they fear most, then resurrects them to do the whole thing again, only now weaker after being resurrected.
- Wound That Will Not Heal: Is covered in wounds that continually weep blood.
The Heartripper
A serial killer, Alex accidentally discovered him when she sought out the Assassin Revel to warn him about a job he had accepted. Unfortunately, Revel had been killed some time ago, with his organs being harvested, and skin reanimated, which his killer then used to seduce victims.

- Cannibalism Superpower: Gains memories from eating brains, experience from eating muscles, skills from wearing skins and stats from hearts and blood.
- Kill and Replace: Part of his modus operandi.
- Mad Artist: Views his collection of skins as "art".
- You Are Who You Eat: Part of his powers.
Father Frederics
The priest assigned to look after Michel. Is trigger happy with the Conversion attempts when it comes to Michel.
Tropes:
- Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Downplayed He acts like one for Michel, scaring Alex (and the players) early in the story. Once he's sure Alex isn't trying to take advantage of Michel, however, he lightens up.
- Compelling Voice: His Conversion skill, that turns those who listen to it into slaves of the Church of Light.
Azniel
A Greater Demon under the service of the Overlord Osiris. According to him, he seeks to offer restitution to Alex for Xicles actions, and help with the Blood God.

- Cannot Tell a Lie: Like all demons, he can't lie.
Osiris, Overlord of the North
An Overlord currently waging war in the north. Apparently a former slave, who seeks to conquer the world.

- Pragmatic Villainy: Prefers non-brute force approaches to conquering nations, and disdains clichéd villainy.
