    Obsidian
"Fine. My name's Obsidian. Some people call me "Sid", but I hate it."

A loner with amazing powers and no memory. He has a bad habit of getting into trouble, and a massive hatred of Pyrite Industries.

  • Badass Longcoat: He wears a long blueish-grey hoodie normally.
  • The Cameo: He appears as a cameo in the webcomic Gun Kitty, where it's implied he and the protagonist Ruana had sex.
  • Cop Hater: He makes his introduction by beating up two cops.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Clearly something happened in his past that made such a powerful person want him dead, but what that is not even Obsidian himself knows.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Obsidian's a huge jerk; he selfishly barges into Anri's apartment late at night, he teases her about her job and their relationship, and he's constantly mocking Koba throughout their fight in chapter 2. But he's got a good heart deep down, as seen when he immediately apologizes and prepares to leave after realizing (with some help from Anri slapping him) that he went too far.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: He seems to get along with Anri's cat Onigiri; so much so that she sleeps next to him on the couch when she was previously sleeping on Anri's bed before he arrived.
  • Made of Iron: He's able to stop a punch using only his forearm to block with little more than a flinch, and takes a strike to the inner knee with a riot batton before getting right back up again.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Obsidian's a tall, muscular, good looking guy. It's no wonder Anri has a hard time resisting him. Also possibly an example of the Black Is Bigger in Bed trope.
  • Power Tattoo: He has gold markings on his arms that glow when he powers up.

    Anri
"Why do all the men in my life have to be so fucking stupid?!"

A "friend" of Obsidian's with the ability to heal others through touch. She has a hard time trusting others, an incredibly short fuse, and loves to use the F-word.

  • But I Would Really Enjoy It: Despite affirming that she will in fact never share a bed with Obsidian ever again, it only takes her an hour of sleeplessness to immediately take it back. She then wakes up naked the next day, wishing Obsidian had stayed until morning.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Usually has a backhanded response to everything Obsidian says.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Obsidian has a way of getting through her cold exterior. And usually into her pants after that.
  • Family Eye Resemblance: Her hair, skin, and eye colour matches Koba's exactly.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: Definitely cusses more than any other character in the series, with a total of 5 f-bombs in the first chapter alone compared to Obsidian's 2.
  • Only Sane Woman: Compared to Obsidian's recklessness and Koba's conspiracies, she seems to be the sanest main character in the comic.
  • When She Smiles: After scowling, sneering, and glaring during her introduction in chapter 1, she smiles excitedly when Koba comes to visit her in chapter 2.

    Koba
"Is that what you actually think, or just something you're getting paid to say?"

An ex Pyrite employee and Anri's twin brother. He's not a fan of Obsidian, but he trusts him enough to team up with him.

  • Berserk Button: As soon as he learns that Obsidian slept with Anri again despite his warnings in the past, Koba immediately goes to find Obsidian and fight him.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Despite being Anri's twin, he treats her like a younger sibling, especially when it comes to her relationship with Obsidian.
  • Family Eye Resemblance: His hair, skin, and eye colour matches Anri's exactly.

    Beat
"Oops, I said too much, didn't I? Oh well... Looks like I'll just have to kill ya!"
A cybernetic assassin who works for Pyrite. Her hands can transform into various bladed weapons, including knives, claws, and a scythe.
  • Arc Villain: She's the only real threat in the first chapter, as Pyrite barely appears.
  • Blood Lust: She's a big fan of murder. She complains when Pyrite tells her not to kill Obsidian, and even goes against his orders and attempts to kill him anyway.
  • Breakout Character: Being one of the first characters revealed before the comic premiered, she became one of the most popular characters right away.
  • Dark Action Girl: She gives Obsidian a good fight, even besting him near the end.
  • Evil Redhead: Her hair's actually pink, but it still counts.
  • Lack of Empathy: She treats her fight with Obsidian like a game, even crouching down to mock the man to his face as he's bleeding out.
  • Meaningful Name: She states her name is Beat because she likes music, and beating people up. Word of God states her real name is Beatrice.

    Pyrite
"Oh, I know all about his powers, miss Anri... I know more about him than you do. More than he even knows about himself. He's more than a Neohuman. He's not even human at all. But here's a secret... I'm not human either."
The owner of Pyrite Industries, the megacorporation the controls most of Tokyo. Most of his history is a secret at the moment.

    Chou
""Until you tell him how you feel, that boy's up for grabs. And I'm gonna grab him hard.""
A telepathic exotic dancer, and ally to Obsidian. She has the ability to read the minds and feelings of others, making her the most empathic character in the story.

    Kokuro
""Heh... Look, Chou, you know I don't like being told 'no.' So if you're not gonna give me what I want... I'm just gonna take it from you.""
The leader of a biker gang called the Killer Queens, and another one of Pyrite's assassins. He has the ability to turn his skin indestructible and gain super strength due to nanomachines in his blood, as the cost of some of his intelligence.—-

    Kiann
A cyborg fighting champion who joins Obsidian due to the injustices suffered by the cyborg community. He's allegedly never lost a fight.—-

    Onyx
A former friend of Kiann's. She joined Pyrite to get revenge on him after he "abandoned" her. Pyrite gave her a pair of cyborg legs as well.—-

    Azurite
A ghostly samurai figure who appears to Obsidian in order to train him. He's very mysterious, and keeps a lot of secrets from Obsidian, claiming he needs to remember them for himself.—-
