Jian Yi

Jian Yi

Jian Yi is a ‘natural airhead’ boy, cute and charming. The pale eyebrows and soft yellow hair looking is his sign. He has a crush on his best friend.



  • Accidental Pervert: ...kinda? In chapter 131, he's so distracted by Zheng Xi's absence that he ends up poking a girl in the boob so she'd leave him alone.
  • Can't Hold His Liquor: College age Zheng Xi wonders why Jian Yi drinks so much when he knows he can't handle beer that well. In multiple pieces of post-disappearance art, he's surrounded by several beer bottles, and has been carried home by Zheng Xi.
  • Captain Oblivious: In one of the college comics, Jian Yi manages to break Zheng Xi's new video game, drink some of his soda, and accidentally rip a page from one of his favorite manga in the span of a couple of minutes. He didn't understand why Zheng Xi got so angry.
  • Cassandra Truth: When he told the story of what happened while he disappeared. On the second day of school, two men in suits said that his father wanted to see him. They forced him into a car and he fell asleep; when he woke up, he was on a deserted island. Zheng Xi wouldn't let him go any further.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: When a girl that likes Zheng Xi is coming towards the two of them, he asks Jian Yi to cover him. Cue Jian Yi to attempt to physically cover him with his shirt. When the situation happens again, he grabs Zheng Xi's arm and loudly announces that they should go pee together.
  • Cuddle Bug: He never passes up an opportunity to share some skinship with Zheng Xi.
  • Distressed Dude: Almost gets kidnapped in one chapter and then actually gets kidnapped in chapter 192.
  • Friendless Background: He was the "newcomer" type as a child, revealed in chapter 35.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Yup. Blonde and the sweetest character in the series.
  • Iconic Outfit: Minor example, but if you pay attention, you'll notice that Jian Yi wears yellow ankle socks more often not. Plus, his stars and stripes boxer-briefs are pretty iconic within the fandom.

  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: In the college art, he's occasionally pictured with a black cat. It's implied that it's his, and he's much more kind hearted out of the two of them.
  • Love Confession: In chapter 208
  • Nudity Equals Honesty: Tries this with Zhan Zheng, It does not work.
  • Sleepyhead: He often falls asleep between classes while Zheng Xi watches over him.
  • Super Drowning Skills: Jian Yi in chapter 46. The two fall into a river bank while trying to retrieve Zheng Xi's phone. The water looks to be only about waist deep yet Zheng Xi had to pull him out.

  • Wholesome Crossdresser: Jian Yi, post return. He dresses up in a maid outfit in one of the artworks. Seeing as Zheng Xi is dressed up as a butler with him, it seems to be for work.

Zheng Xi is a good-looking senior gamer. And he is especially loyal to friendship. As Jian Yi’s best friend, he would defend Jian Yi in the first place when he needs him.

The most popular boy in school. He is good at basketball. And he loves to joke on Guan Shan.



  • All Men Are Perverts: He sends Mo Guan Shan a dick pic for the the hell of it, and forces a kiss on him just to see his reaction.
  • The Ace: He excels in sports and is the top student at school. Except when it comes to cooking.
  • Berserk Button: Hurting, insulting or trying to frame Mo Guan Shan for something will set He Tian off in a very violent way. A man blaming Mo Guan Shan who he believed bumped into his car leads He Tian to smash the hood in with a metal bar.
  • Big Man on Campus: He Tian's often surrounded by girls that want to talk to him.
  • Chick Magnet: He Tian is very popular with the ladies, and when he works a part time job with Mo Guan Shan, ladies immediately flocked to him.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: He doesn't like it when Mo Guan Shan takes an interest in others. Such as Jian Yi's bodyguard's motorcycle, or admiring some girls dancing on the street.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He didn't have a very kind father, and while his older brother was protective of him, he raised He Tian on very tough love.
  • Desperately Craves Affection: Mo Guan Shan's to be more specific.
  • The Gadfly: He says and does things just to get a rise out of Mo Guan Shan and humiliate him.
  • Lethal Chef: As he's rich enough to constantly buy take-outs for his meals, he's not the best cook. This is why he usually bullies Mo Guan Shan to cook meals for him.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: He is a rich kid who lives all by himself in a big house and seems to feel very lonely at times. This is partially the reason he tries to have Mo Guan Shan stay over at his place as much as possible.
  • One Head Taller: Than most of his peers.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When he starts falling behind on his tests and drops to almost the bottom rank at school, this upsets some of his teachers who expected more from him.
  • Riches to Rags: His brother ends up cutting off his credit card to try and teach him a lesson. He ends up sticking to Mo Guan Shan more since he has nowhere else to really go.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Just look at him.
  • The Smart Guy: He is said to be in his school top three ranking.
  • Smoking Is Cool: He Tian, a popular student that smokes. Most noticeable in chapters 75 and 144.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: The sugar to Mo Guan Shan's ice, only around him though.
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Oh, if he isn't.
  • The Tease: He starts genuinely becoming this more towards Mo Guan Shan.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Towards Mo Guan Shan. He initially treats him as nothing more than an errand boy and someone to make fun of for shits and giggles. But over time he starts to treat Mo Guan Shan with more kindness. Lavishing him with gifts and doing whatever he can to protect him.
  • Tranquil Fury: He looks like this when he's extremely furious, mostly due to something happening to Mo Guan Shan.
  • Troubled, but Cute

Mo Guan Shan

Guan Shan is a trouble maker, a school bully who comes from a lower class background. His father is in prison and his mother struggles with making a living. So he is always short of money. He is attractive and his most prominent feature is his natural redhead.



  • Accidental Pervert: Shows He Tian his genitals when fumbling with his phone in a video chat.
  • Affectionate Nickname: He Tian starts calling him "Little Mo" at first as an insult, but then clearly becomes an affectionate term for the other.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Downplayed, he finally initiates a kiss with He Tian in chapter 409.
  • Combat Pragmatist: He wanted to win a fight so bad that he hit Zheng Xi in the head with a rock. Even the rest of his crew look surprised by this move.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: His father is on jail for unknown reasons and this seems to have made a lot of impact on him.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: In Chapter 144, Guan Shan tells this to He Tian.
  • Evil Redhead: Well, not evil, but initially he wasn't viewed favorably by Jian Yi and Zheng Xi.
  • Fall Guy: She Li attempts to set him up as this, making him take the blame for another student since Mo Guan Shan was already seen as a notorious problem student. Thankfully, a girl went up to Jian Yi and Zheng Xi with photo evidence Mo Guan Shan didn't commit the crime and cleared his name.
  • Friendless Background: He is an outcast, with most of the other students avoiding him whenever he's around.
    • In Chapter 242, it shows the reason why the other kids did not want to be his friend. They did not want to associate them selves with someone that had a father in jail.
  • Friend To All Animals: From dogs, cats and fishes, Mo Guan Shan has a soft spot for animals. He even buys the aforementioned fish from the store because it looked sick.
  • Hidden Depths: He seems to have an interest in music, with He Tian even buying him an electric guitar he glanced at in the window.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: His toughness is all an act. He is quite the softie, despite how hard he tries to shake Jian Yi, Zhang Zhen Xi and He Tian off his back.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold
  • Men Can't Keep House: Inverted, he does most of the housework and the others usually turn to him for cooking or cleaning.
  • Momma's Boy: Downplayed. He gets violent at the men who suggest she "sell" herself to pay off her debts, but tries to keep his problems to himself as to not worry her.
  • Perpetual Frowner: This kid seems to be always angry but agitated when it comes to He Tian.
  • Repressed Memories: He begins to shake and sweat while having flashbacks of the events that happened to him in the same restaurant that He Tian took him. It gets so bad that he leaves the restaurant in a hurry to puke outside.
  • Real Men Cook: He makes superb food, which leads to He Tian, Zheng Xi and Jian Yi usually forcing him to cook their meals.
  • Sir Swearsalot: That goes along with his Fiery Redhead anger.
  • Shower Scene: In chapter 199.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: His tough act is a way to protect himself, but deep inside he is lonely.
  • Supreme Chef: His dad used to own a restaurant. In chapter 186 He Tian says that Guan Shan is a great cook.
  • Team Mom: In chapter 325, he acts like this towards He Tian, Jian Yi and Zheng Xi. Even cooking for the three of them.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: He started as a "bully" and look at him now.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Sandwiches. He is usually seen eating them all the time, because it was the last food his father gave him before he was sent to jail.
  • Trauma Button: Unbeknownst to He Tian, restaurant's are a big one for Mo Guan Shan. He gets a panic attack when in a restaurant as it reminds him, of his father getting into a fight in their restaurant. He leaves the building in a hurry and promptly throws up due to the stress.
  • Tsundere: He has his moments with He Tian.
  • Troubled, but Cute

A dangerous boy that attends the same school as the main characters.



Zhan Zi Xi

Zi Xi loves her brother and wants Jian Yi to stop being friends with him, thinking that he's a bad influence for him.

  • Big Brother Worship: Zheng Xi's little sister seems to have a bit of this going on. She's under the impression that Jian Yi is weird and/or a pervert and doesn't really want him around her brother.
    • Then again... she DOES have a point.
  • Gamer Chick: Zi Xi is so good at video games that he doesn't even want her to play against him.
  • Moment Killer: In one of the more recent chapters, it seem like Zheng Xi is finally going to talk to Jian Yi about the kiss. It was at that moment when she (intentionally) decided to jump in.

Xiao Hui

From the same school as the mains. She has a crunsh on Zheng Xi.

He Cheng

He Tian's older brother. He works for Jian Yi's father.

Jian Yi's Mother

Jian Yi's mother. Little is known about her.

Mo Guan Shan's Mother

Nothing much is known about her except that she has a lovely relantionship with her son and that her husband is jailed for unknown reasons.

  • Good Parents: She believes and trusts her son no matter what.

Top
