In General
A race of humanoid reptilian creatures that neighbors the human tribe.
- Dying Race: Tols Angus invaded their territory, killed most of them, and left some alive for some unknown reason.
- The Famine: They were suffering from a famine due to drought just before the Regent's invasion.
- Lizard Folk: They look like reptilian humanoids.
- Odd Name Out: The tribe's name refers to its location, rather than the race as it does with the other tribes.
Mochia
Angus, you promised!
The top swordsman of the Eastern Tribe.- Did Not Think This Through: He attacked the young king without considering the consequences, figuring his tribe was doomed anyway, just going for what he considered maximum damage.
- Energy Weapon: When lacking a sword, he makes one out of his boundary force.
- Famed In-Story: His name is so well known, Isabella not only respects him, but also trained under him for a while.
- Karmic Death: His betrayal of the Leader of the Grey Dragon Knights and the Minister of Agriculture cost him his life and the well-being of his people.
- Master Swordsman: What he was known for.
- Misplaced Retribution: In retaliation for the regent's wrongdoing, he goes after the young king, who knew nothing about it, and couldn't have stopped it even if he did.
- Off with His Head!: How he dies.
- Red Baron: He was known as "The God of Swords."
- Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Defied. He was brave and noble. It's Humans Are the Real Monsters.
- Rugged Scar: He has a scar along the left side of his face, the left eye is unharmed though.
- Worf Had the Flu: He was not anywhere near his best when Sophisas intercepted his sword strike against the king, and he was already incapacitated when Sato beheaded him from behind.
- You Said You Would Let Them Go: The reason he and Beru agreed to let themselves be brought before the king in chains, and present the severed heads of the Minister of Agriculture and the Leader of the Grey Dragon Knights is that apparently Regent Angus promised them drought and famine relief if they complied; then he turned around and proclaimed "I said no such thing" when everyone was present before the king. It is this act of villainy that prompts him to launch an attack on the king, losing his life in the process.
Beru
- Humans Are the Real Monsters: He states that humans are the most evil of all the tribes.
- Laser-Guided Karma: His willingness to cross the diplomatic efforts of the Leader of the Grey Dragon Knights and the Minister of Agriculture ensured the near extinction of his people.
- Rugged Scar: He has a small scar on his mouth that enforces his military background.
Motoso
The younger brother of Mochia. He is first encountered by Xiang Ye in the Demon Queen's castle as the main characters were sneaking around, trying to overthrow Lilian. He swears vengeance upon Xiang Ye for the death of his brother.
- Best Served Cold: He knows how to bide his time and won't throw his life away carelessly in pursuit of vengeance. He backs off from attacking Xiang Ye when he sees Isabella and Drakulo at his side and then gets Martin to back off from attacking Tols Angus when he realized that even at his weakest, Angus is still too strong to take on while being guarded by Sato.
- Combat Pragmatist: The first time he attacks Xiang Ye, he pretends to not notice Xiang Ye and Elena walking past him and then attacks them both from behind.
- Commonality Connection: He bonds with Ashtone Martin in their common goal of revenge against The Regent.
- Dual Wielding: He fights using twin swords.
- Heel–Face Turn: He goes from being openly antagonistic to Xiang Ye and crew to a valued ally after seeing that Xiang Ye is trying to avenge his people against Tols Angus.
- Last of His Kind: If Sato's telling the truth in chapter 421, the Eastern Tribe that were captured by Tols Angus were sacrificed to the Protoss and the rest were all killed on screen.
- Revenge by Proxy: Attempted. He tried to take out Xiang Ye in revenge for Sophisas killing his elder brother, and swears to do it at a later time, but apparently changed his mind when he saw Xiang Ye die fighting Tols Angus, the guy truly responsible, and actually helps Sophisas fight against Sato, knowing the latter is completely remorseless and proud of killing the brave swordsman from behind.
- Super-Senses: He literally smells out Xiang Ye as the latter was sneaking around the Demon Queen castle with an invisibility spell.
