    Bob

Bob Yellow

One of the main characters. Bob was visited one day by Susie, a ghost girl, who initially planned to kill him until he responded with feeding her, forming a friendship between the two.

  • Baldness Angst: Various episode make it clear that he'd love to have some hair, but each time he manages to grow some out, it either all falls out through some sort of Diabolus ex Machina or his father tearing it out.
  • Catchphrase: With the introduction of Ella, he has "Cleaning done, me go home" for when he's done with his shift.
  • Chick Magnet: Catches the eyes of both Susie and Ella.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: His father was neglectful and abusive, putting down his interests and being generally overbearing.
  • Hulking Out: Has moments where he becomes gargantuan and extremely strong, typically when annoyed.
  • I Am Not My Father: In sharp contrast to his father, Bob is a very loving and kind individual.
  • Jerkass to One: Probably the only character Bob is outright hostile towards is the Fly.
  • Lethal Chef: He's not a bad chef, but he has a bad habit of adding things to his cooking that completely ruin the dish, like a single drop of wine that managed to burn his entire steak dinner.
  • Renaissance Man: He can draw, cook, and clean. Sadly, the antics he gets into usually ruin the fruits of his labor.
  • Running Gag:
    • Him grabbing Susie suddenly, sometimes followed up by him squishing her cheeks.
    • Him trying to grow hair or put on a wig, only for it to fall off somehow or for his father to rip it all off.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: When Hulking Out, he greatly resembles his father, who looks like that by default.
  • Unexpected Kindness: A staple of the series' humor comes from Bob appearing ready to assault someone, usually Susie, until it's revealed that he's doing something completely benevolent and kind.
  • Your Size May Vary: Generally, Bob seems very small and spindly, but there are moments where he will become huge and muscular, much like his father.

    Susie

The eponymous ghost friend. Susie is introduced to Bob when she tries to kill him, but he manages to get the upper hand, deciding to feed her. This leads to them befriending each other.

  • Creepy Child: Being a little ghost girl who initially wanted to stab Bob to death, and has a habit of appearing ominously with a knife in her hand.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: She was already cute from the start, but the following shorts humanizing her definitely help.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: She died very young, and when reminded of this, she starts to cry.
  • Precocious Crush: It seems she has feelings for Bob, but being a little girl (and a ghost, of course), they aren't compatible.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: She may be a ghost now, but she's still a little girl, so many things still scare her, and she bursts into tears being reminded of her human life.
  • Unexpected Kindness: After her debut appearance, a Running Gag of hers is appearing behind someone, usually Bob, brandishing a knife, until it's revealed that she actually plans to do something nice, including using her knife to prepare some food.
  • When She Smiles: Bob has a habit of making her smile with his kindness.

    Ella

A rich girl who employs Bob to clean her home. She quickly develops a crush on him.

  • All Love Is Unrequited: She has a hopeless crush on Bob, which he never notices.
  • Covert Pervert: Episode 75 has her make multiple sketches of Bob's chiseled figure as she blushes, sweats, and drools. She also takes pictures of Bob when he's not looking.
  • Imagine Spot: Most of her appearances involve her imagining Bob making moves on her.
  • Stalker with a Crush: She often takes candid photos of Bob, including one where she takes a selfie uncomfortably close to him while he's trimming her hedges.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: In Episode 77, Bob gives her a plate of cookies when he planned to give some to Susie, but she already had a bunch of them.
