Cathy Smith

- Berserk Button: She hates it when Mr. Fusster doesn't believe in aliens or says aliens aren't real.
- Big Eater: Can rival the Pythanor aliens with her appetite.
- Big Head Mode: She pulls one of these in "Mindreader" after showing up in her school locker.
- Cultured Badass: Cathy is shown to be knowledgeable in Rhapsodian culture as well as some customs in other planets.
- Dumb Blonde: Sometimes. Though she is more naive than dumb.
- Fangirl: She's a big fan of "Outcraker's Badland Galaxy Tour" until she finds out that Outcraker uses other people for his stunts.
- Feminine Women Can Cook: She says that she used to help her uncle Vyron to cook some specialties back in Rhapsodia. She can be a Lethal Chef if she wants her friends to taste Rhapsodian dishes.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She's kindhearted and more than a little innocent and naïve.
- New Powers as the Plot Demands: Word of God says that she's capable to learn all extraordinary abilities. He also said that Rhapsodians will give viewers some surprise.
- Oblivious to Love: At first, she doesn't seem to notice Jeremy's feelings for her, but after only a couple of episodes, she eventually notices it, subverting this trope.
- Raised by Grandparents: She is raised by her grandfather.
- Really 700 Years Old: In "New Recruits", she is 700 years old in Rhapsodian years and about 250 in Earth years.
- Rubber Man: Her most often-used power is her super stretchiness.

- Distressed Dude: Gets captured by a Jellynerp.
- Shy Blue-Haired Girl: He is comfortable around his friends, but otherwise tries to stay away from people and apologizes a lot.
Sam (Samantha)
Voiced by Anna Cummer
- Action Girl: She's the most serious member of the group.
- Berserk Button: Don't try to disturb her while she's playing video games.
- Cultured Badass: She enjoys painting and fine arts.
- Deadpan Snarker: She can be sarcastic at times.
- I Know Karate: Confirmed by Word of God.
- Not So Above It All: When she gets hooked into a video game after deriding it.
- Only Sane Man: She is the more reasonable one.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: She is the tomboy to Cathy's girly girl.
- Tsundere: Type A, in some instances.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Spiders are her weakness, physically and psychologically.
Daniel "Danny" Jackson

- Companion Cube: He has a purple teddy bear named Mr. Fluffyboots until he use it to destroy red Pincherbot's antenna.
- Hypocrite: In "Mindreader", he looked disgusted when Elton told everyone he kissed Cathy. 4 episodes later in "Dog Daze", he tried to kiss Wendy.
- Spell My Name with a "The": He often calls himself "The Danny".

Hugo Smith
- Call to Agriculture: Word of God states that Mr. Smith discovered gardening after coming to Earth, and that he gets fascinated by Earth plants.
- Meaningful Name: Mr. Smith's first name "Hugo" means "intelligent" in Spanish.
- Miniature Senior Citizens: An elderly man who's smaller than any of the kids.
John

- Ambiguously Brown: He has a lighter skin than his older brother Chris but his ethnicity is unknown.
- Attention Whore: He wants to be impressed with his inventions.
Wendy

- Alpha Bitch: She's a popular, snobby girl.
Mark
Voiced by Ian James Corlett
- Rich Bitch: Male example. He flaunts his money and is an all-around jerk.
Jeremy Flatblotnick
- Non-Action Guy: He helped the MBC twice, but he doesn't realize that he's dealing with his four classmates.
- Playful Hacker: He's the one responsible for decoding the Parchugal rules in "Sore Winner" and tracking down Herptilius' ship in "Frogs In Space".
- Single-Target Sexuality: He doesn't show any slight interest in other girls but Cathy.
Mr. Fusster

- Companion Cube: Sometimes, he talks to a skeleton model named Mr. Bones.
- Hidden Depths: He met an alien named Mimi long time ago. And she never lives it down when she returns to marry him.
- Married to the Job: He says that he'd rather enjoy being a bachelor than to marry.
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: With Cathy Smith, for questioning his "expert opinion" that aliens don't exist.
- The Unreveal: The MBC, not even Word of God will never know if Mr. Fusster's an alien.
