    Manipula
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/waxwumun.png
"Ladybug! Cat Noir! You're gonna be proud of me. The superheroes are back!"

A living wax woman who can command wax statues to do her bidding. Her civilian identity is Véronique, and her Akuma is in the pamphlets she's carrying.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Her skin color is banana yellow. Fitting as her design is meant to resemble wax.
  • Anti-Villain: She greatly admires the heroes, and only agrees to help Monarch when he tells her he'll stop akumatizing people once he has all the Miraculous. When she meets Ladybug and Cat Noir, she even tries asking them to give her their Miraculous first instead of trying to take them by force like most akumatized villains.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her wax hair is in a beehive hairdo that's topped with a wick to make it look like a candle.
  • Beehive Hairdo: She sports an updo that resembles a candle.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Her plan on what to do should Monarch not keep his end of the bargain is to simply defeat him with her army of superheroes. She doesn't seem to factor that Monarch can take away her powers with a snap of his fingers, thereby defeating her and her army in an instant. That isn't even touching on the fact that Monarch's wish would remake the world as he sees fit. note
  • Dismantled MacGuffin: The Megakuma is spread throughout her entire stack of pamphlets, so the heroes have to collect all of them to break her Akumatization.
  • Elemental Hair Composition: Her hair is made of wax like the rest of her.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: She's a minion of Monarch wearing glasses.
  • Glass Cannon: While her minions have the same powers as the heroes they depict, they're still made of wax and thus break easily.
  • Living Statue: Her main ability is the power to bring wax statues to life, giving them the capabilities of the people they depict.
  • Loony Fan: Despite being one of Hawk Moth’s akumatized villains, she’s still a big fan of Ladybug and Cat Noir. She attacks Mayor Bourgeois just to force him to let her open a wing in her wax museum with statues of them and the other heroes.
  • No-Sell: Monarch gives her the power of the Ox Miraculous, letting her resist all magical attacks. Physical ones still hurt her, however.
  • Paper Talisman: She places pamphlets on the foreheads of the statues in order to bring them to life, resembling this.
  • Powers Do the Fighting: Manipula is hardly involved in direct combat and has her Miraculous Hero Puppets fight on her behalf.
  • The Starscream: She's planning on defeating Monarch with her team of statues if he doesn't hold up his end of the deal.
  • Superior Successor: What sets her apart from previous Living Statue creator Puppeteer; the wax statues she brings to life not only resemble previous heroes, they have their actual powers due to actually being able to talk this time.
  • Superpower Lottery: She brings to life the statues of all the Miraculous heroes who also have access of all of their powers, not to mention that she's also invincible herself to other superpowers thanks to the power of the Ox Miraculous given to her via Alliance.
  • Visual Pun: Her wax hair is in a beehive updo which, combined with her yellow color scheme, references beeswax, a conventional material for wax sculpture.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: She tries to steal Ladybug and Cat Noir’s Miraculous for Monarch because he promises he’ll stop akumatizing people if he gets them. She also attacks Mayor Bourgeois and Chloé to get them to let her open a wing in her wax museum dedicated to Paris’ superheroes because she wants her superhero statues to give people hope.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: She has honey-yellow eyes and is known for using underhanded methods in regaining her Miraculous Hero Exhibit.

    Safari
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_559f596aca04aaa5259b69d43cc163f3_a2354b96_2048.jpg
"Monarch, I am Safari. How many times have we failed, focusing on the Miraculous, when our real obstacles are their holders? They're the ones I'm going to hunt down and put out of commission."

A devoted, relentless hunter who thinks she has nothing left to lose. Her civilian identity is Nathalie Sancoeur, her second unique Akumatization. Her Akuma is in her mannequin.

  • Abnormal Ammo: Her crossbow fires energy bolts made of Miraculous magic.
  • Always Accurate Attack: Her primary power. The bolts she fires from her crossbow will chase down whatever she targets. She can also use this power with her whip, turning any debris she ensares into a Homing Projectile.
  • All Your Powers Combined: While Monarch gave her the power of the Goat Miraculous through her Alliance Ring, he also transferred five other Miraculous powers into the ammunition in her bandolier generated from Genesis.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: She has purple skin, similar to Monarch's own.
  • Disability-Negating Superpower: At this point in the series, Nathalie needs cybernetic braces in order to walk. Safari lacks those braces, and has enough leg strength to jump to the top of buildings.
  • Master of Illusion: With the power of the Fox Miraculous ammunition, Safari made an illusion of Timetagger in order to lure Ladybug and Cat Noir out.
  • Near-Villain Victory: If Cat Noir's detransformation would've been just one second later for her paralyzing shots to be able to hit him, she would've defeated her hated foes.
  • Not Brainwashed: She requested to be akumatized, and even chose the power she wanted.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Tried to get the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous in order to make a wish, knowing well it'd destroy the universe, this time not under Gabriel's orders as well.
  • The Paralyzer: Her tracking shots are infused with Venom provided by the Bee Miraculous ammunition. Unlike the usual Venom power, the paralysis will wear off if the calibrated target is no longer the calibrated target. Ladybug reverting back to Marinette unfreezes her.
  • Power of Creation: With the power of the Goat Miraculous, she used Genesis to make a trunk containing all of her hunting gear.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: On top of having Nathalie's red and black hair, she's decked out in dark pink and black camouflage, and she's got red eyes with black sclerae.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: She's a relentless hunter with red eyes, and black sclerae too.
  • The Starscream: She intends on taking Ladybug's and Cat Noir's Miraculous to make her own Wish so the world won't be recreated by Gabriel's madness. Despite Monarch knowing about this planned betrayal, he can't do anything about it due to Safari knowing his secrets.
  • Super-Persistent Missile:
    • Her shots are calibrated for targeting Ladybug and Cat Noir, and will chase them around and serve around all obstacles in the way. Though they will settle for statues of them, and also they aren't calibrated for Lady Noire and Mister Bug, nor their secret identities.
    • The debris she throws at the heroes with her whip have the same effect, only they stop charging once they crash.
  • Superpower Lottery: Not only she has access to the Goat Miraculous' power through her Alliance Ring, she also has ammunition infused with the powers of the Fox, Bee, Dragon, Tiger and Pig Miraculous.

    Unmasker

A heartbroken villainess who would've had the power to outright reveal a superhero's secret identity, with the intent on using it on Cat Noir so they can be together... if it wasn't for the fact the Akumatization was interrupted. Her civilian identity is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, making this her second attempted Akumatization and her second hypothetical unique form. Her Akuma is in her rose.

  • Breaking Old Trends: Well, new trends anyway. Because Marinette refuses to wear an Alliance ring, Monarch would've lacked the means to supply Unmasker with a power from one of his Miraculous.
  • The Masquerade Will Kill Your Dating Life: Monarch certainly believes this to be the case, hence why he tempted Marinette with the power to reveal Cat Noir's secret identity.
  • More Deadly Than the Male: Played With. Theoretically speaking, she would've had the same enhanced speed, strength, and nigh-invulnarability as other akumatized villains, meaning she's about as strong as them. In terms of power, however, she had the potential to be the deadliest, as her entire gimmick is unmasking superheroes, an instant game over had Cat Noir not stopped her creation.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Similar case with Princess Justice, Unmasker was ready to take off and hand over her Miraculous before her transformation had a chance to start, lifting her arms before Cat Noir broke through to her.
  • The Power of Love: This is the reason why she didn't manifest, as Cat Noir asked her to kiss him, causing Unmasker/Marinette to let go of the rose from the surprise, and the kiss itself breaking through the Akumatization.
  • Something about a Rose: While we don't know how she would've looked like, her Megakuma is located in the rose she's holding.
  • Too Powerful to Live: She has the ability to reveal a superhero's secret identity. Given what we've seen happen when only one of the heroes' identity was exposed, and that this is an akumatized Marinette, thus no Ladybug, it would've been an instant game over had Cat Noir not canceled the transformation with the power of love.
  • The Unmasking: Had she been able to manifest, she would've had the power to forcibly unmask any superhero. The exact details about how are unknown.
  • The Unreveal: Like Princess Justice before her, the details about Unmasker's appearance and how her abilities work aren't revealed, because Marinette's Akumatization wasn't completed.

    Kikou
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bibou.png
"Kikou is the strongest!"
A giant anthropomorphic bear with the ability to throw Rocket Punches who is angry over being humiliated on social media. His civilian self is professional kickboxer Kouki, and his Akuma is in his mouthguard.
  • Accidental Misnaming: He calls Scarabella "Ladybug", not being aware of the heroine's true moniker.
  • Adorable Evil Minions: He may be a minion of Monarch, but his bear form looks kind of cute rather than ferocious.
  • Animorphism: Hawk Moth transformed him into a Funny Bear!
  • All Your Powers Combined: He has 5 Alliance Rings and receives a Miraculous power from each one of them.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: A Rocket Punching bear, in this case.
  • Barrier Warrior: He combines the powers of the Turtle and Ox Miraculous in order to create a shield around his head where he keeps his akumatized object that's unbreakable even against Cataclysm.
  • Bears Are Bad News: He takes the form of a giant anthropomorphic bear.
  • Brought to You by the Letter "S": He wears a golden necklace with the letter "B" on it, which he already wore before his Akumatization.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: Thanks to the power of the Mouse Miraculous, he's able to create clones of himself to fight alongside him.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: He has a considerably deeper voice than his civilian self.
  • Fully-Dressed Cartoon Animal: He is an anthropomorphic bear wearing a tank top and shorts.
  • Funny Animal: He is a humanoid, talking bear.
  • Fur Is Skin: Despite looking like an anthropomorphic bear, he has a solid complexion with no visible fur.
  • Having a Blast: He receives the power of the Tiger Miraculous through one of his Alliance Rings, which he uses to energise his punches in order to make them explosive.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: The shield around his head cannot be destroyed with a Cataclysm due to the power of Resistance, so the heroes force him to take it down himself by pouring paint over it, blocking his vision.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: He was given the power of Shell-ter via Alliance, which he uses to create a force field around his head so that his akumatized mouthguard can't be broken.
  • Meaningful Name: See Significant Anagram below. In online French lingo, a "kikoo" is also negative slang for a person (generally a teenager) who acts immaturely on social media (usually making lots of typos and grammar mistakes), often trolling and acting rude, befitting the attitude he and Nora gave each other before leading to his akumatization.
  • Nigh-Invulnerable: He was given the power of Resistance via Alliance, making him immune to all superpowers. Combined with Shell-ter, he has a truly impenetrable defense.
  • Rocket Punch: He has the ability to shoot out his fists, and this is made even stronger with the power of Clout given to him via Alliance.
  • Self-Duplication: Monarch gives him the power of the Mouse Miraculous through one of his Alliance Rings, allowing him to split into three slightly smaller versions of himself.
  • Significant Anagram: His name is just his civilian self's name with the syllables reversed.
  • Social Media Is Bad: His Akumatization was caused by Nora posting a humiliating edited photo of him on social media.
  • Superpower Lottery: He receives the powers of the Turtle, Tiger, Horse, Mouse and Ox Miraculous through his multiple Alliance Rings.
  • Thinking Up Portals: With the power of Voyage given to him via Alliance, he can create portals to teleport around both himself and the heroes fighting him.
  • Third-Person Person: He always refers to himself in the third person, and uses very simple language. His civilian self, on the other hand, speaks normally.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Instead of using one of his clones to clean the paint from the shield around his head, he puts it down by himself, allowing Scarabella to steal and break his akumatized object.
  • Triangle Shades: Wears golden ones.
  • Villain Teleportation: He uses Voyage in order to teleport away from the heroes' attacks.
  • You No Take Candle: He always speaks in very simple language.

    Sole Destroyer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_085aa2b0714ab344060c4d48b9679d97_bdbcaf25_1280.jpg
"Soon you'll all be at my feet!"

An embarrassed Alpha Bitch who seeks to make everyone praise her. Her civilian identity is Chloé Bourgeois, making this her sixth unique akumatized form. Her Akuma is in her sunglasses.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: She has yellow skin.
  • Breaking Old Trends:
    • Sole Destroyer is the only villain wearing an Alliance Ring not to receive a Miraculous power through it, on account of Monarch not being in his lair and presently using the ones he had active.
    • Sole Destroyer is the first of Chloé's akumatized forms since Antibug to not have a palette color of black and yellow, similar to Queen Bee's (however she still has a predominant palette color of yellow).
  • Discard and Draw: An odd example. Sole Destroyer is essentially a redux of Zoé's akumatized form, Sole Crusher. However, in place of the ability to absorb people and use that energy to grow larger, Sole Destroyer transforms people into singing high-heeled shoes and stays the same size.
  • Forced Transformation: Anyone she kicks is transformed into a talking high-heeled shoe that sings her praises.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Has bright glowing eyes to contrast Sole Crusher's gold but otherwise normal eyes.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Chloé's akumatization is partly caused by jealousy of Marinette getting together with Adrien.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Her very existence leads to Monarch stealing the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous from Alya and Zoé before they can even transform and almost making his wish. However she also ends up being part of what takes his victory away, as she ends up getting overpowered by the Resistance, who try to use her as a battering ram against him.
  • No Honor Among Thieves: She even transforms her partners in crime, Lila and Sabrina, into singing shoes.
  • Not Brainwashed: Chloé clearly wants to be akumatized after Zoé humiliated her.
  • One-Hit Kill: Anyone she kicks or otherwise touches with the bottom of her shoes gets turned into a mindless, singing shoe.
  • Spikes of Villainy: Somehow she has even more spikes than Sole Crusher.
  • Sucksessor: By a design basis between her and Sole Crusher; while both operate with similar mechanics (both attack their victims with the soles of their feet to use their abilities), it's apparent that Sole Destroyer does not measure up to the more Boring, but Practical capabilities of her half-sister's akumatized form. Sole Crusher grows larger with each person she absorbs and becomes progressively harder to take on in a straight fight, to the point that Ladybug and Cat Noir decided it's better to find and destroy her Akuma than to continue fighting her. Sole Destroyer, by comparison, can only turn people into shoes with kicks and is only dangerous if you let the soles of her shoes touch you, leading to a group of students being able to restrain and use her as a battering ram against Monarchbug. Monarch didn't really care about making a powerful villain in this instance; he just needed the threat of a villain so Alya and Zoé would find somewhere private to transform, allowing him to ambush them.
  • Underestimating Badassery: She clearly underestimates the Resistance, as she ends up getting tied up and used as a battering ram against Monarchbug by them.

    Ryukomori
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/headintheclouds.png
"I don't want to talk. I want silence!"

A lonely giant who believes she is unworthy of friendship and wishes to be left alone. Her civilian identity is Kagami Tsurugi, which is also her sixth Akumatization and fourth unique form. Her Akuma is in her family's ring.

  • The Aloner: Fitting her somber existence, Ryukomori wanders Paris as if she was completely alone. It doesn't help that Monarch inhibits her ability to see or interact with other people.
  • Anti-Villain: She just wants to be left alone and the only times she attacks are when something threatens her solitude.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: She's a giant teenage girl made of clouds who attacks anyone who angers her with lightning or strong gusts of winds.
  • Blessed with Suck: Kagami wanted nothing more than to be left alone, so as Ryukomori she can't see or hear anyone else. However, this causes more problems than it solves, as she can only discern the locations of others (including the heroes she's meant to be fighting) through their effects on the surrounding environment, and she has no means of effectively communicating with anyone other than Monarch. In the end, Ryukomori herself is convinced that this "power" is a nuisance, and her desire to see her friends is what convinces her to reject the Megakuma.
  • Blow You Away: When angered, she can create strong gusts of wind around her.
  • Cumulonemesis: Ryukomori is completely made out of clouds.
  • Emotional Powers: She uses the power of Perfection to turn herself into a storm cloud when upset by people trying to communicate with her.
  • Evil Counterpart: She is one to her own hero form, Ryuko.
  • Giant Woman: Aside from being made from clouds, Ryukomori is a basically giant version of Kagami.
  • The Hermit: She just desires to be left alone and will attack anyone or anything who prevents that.
  • Impeded Communication: A consenting example. Monarch makes Ryukomori completely unable to see or hear other people. Ladybug and Cat Noir's main challenge in the battle is finding a way to get a message to her. It also works against Ryukomuri, as she can only discern where the heroes are through their effects on the environment around them.
  • Leave Me Alone!: She accepted Akumatization in exchange for solitude from other people. When Ladybug and Cat Noir try communicating with her anyway, she gets enraged into attacking.
  • Made of Air: Ryukomori is a massive, humanoid stormcloud, so she simply passes through everything and everyone around her, her volume shifting around the objects she touches. She's really only a threat when she gets angry and creates strong winds and lightning.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name is a pun of her heroes' name "Ryuko" and Hikikomori, befitting considering how she just wants to be alone.
  • The Power of Friendship: She rejects Monarch's Megakuma and deakumatizes herself after being reminded that she isn't truly alone and has friends who care about her.
  • See the Invisible: A variant where everyone is visible, but it's Ryukomori who can't see people. However, since her storm causes cars to fly in the air she can see the spot where Ladybug and Cat Noir are forced to destroy them to protect themselves.
  • Shock and Awe: When angered, she turns into thunderclouds and can shoot lightning from her forehead.

    Gold Record
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezgif_3_e50230fc63.png
"You can't escape me, Jagged Junior! Your music is mine!"

A greedy music producer seeking someone to turn into the next big hit, whether that person wants to be it or not. His civilian identity is Bob Roth, his second Akumatization and akumatized form and the Akuma is in his record, which used to be the contracts he had Kitty Section sign.

  • '80s Hair: Just look at it.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: When Cat Noir makes his record hit a rubber duck, he likes the resulting music consisting entirely of squeaks and teleports the record containing it onto his office wall.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: He has golden skin.
  • Badass Fingersnap: He snaps his fingers every time he summons a portal to send a record into space.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: His eyes have black sclera and he’s an evil supervillain.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: What does Gold Record do if he doesn't like a person's record? Throw the record into outer space.
  • Face Palm: He does this every time he hears a song he doesn’t like.
  • Fat Bastard: He retains Bob’s gut and he’s a greedy supervillain.
  • Forced Transformation: Anyone hit by his record is transformed into a floating record that sings out their deepest desires/secrets. It even works on inanimate objects, which just belt out whatever noise is common to them (squeaks from a rubber duck, for example).
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: He wears a pair of sunglasses that are as gold as the rest of him, and he's a minion of Monarch.
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: Just like with his previous akumatized form, Moolak, Bob is covered in gold when transformed.
  • Greed: Just like Moolak, his goal is to become filthy rich.
  • One-Hit Kill: Anything hit by his gold record turns into a vinyl record.
  • Precision-Guided Boomerang: He can throw his record exactly where he needs it to go and summon it back to him, though he can't outright cause it to hunt his targets.
  • Thinking Up Portals: He's given the power of the Horse Miraculous through his Alliance Ring in order to teleport wherever he wishes in an instant. He also uses it to send records he doesn't like into space, while placing the ones he does on the wall of his office.
  • Thrown Out the Airlock: Played with. He uses Voyage portals to send any records he creates (which are transformed living beings) that are not to his liking into space to dispose of them.
  • Truth Serum: All the people transformed into floating records by him will start singing their deepest secrets.
  • Villain Teleportation: He's given the Horse Miraculous power, which allows him to open portals to escape in a pinch, or to send whatever record he doesn't like into space.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Not only does he transform teenagers into floating recordings, but he also throws them into space if he doesn't like their songs.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: His irises are golden like the rest of his body and he’s a sneaky, corrupt businessman driven by greed.

    Panic

A girl suffering from a panic attack due to her past trauma who's villain form didn't manifest as she managed to reject the Akuma. Her civilian identity is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, making this her third attempted Akumatization and third hypothetical unique form.

  • Breaking Old Trends: Similar to her previous hypothetical akumatized form, Unmasker, Monarch wouldn't have been able to transmit a Miraculous power to her even if the Akumatization would've been completed as Marinette doesn't wear an Alliance Ring.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Similar to her previous two attempted Akumatizations, she probably would've handed the Ladybug Miraculous right away had Marinette succumbed to the Megakuma.
  • Trauma Button: Marinette gets to relive her past trauma through her Akumatization attempt.
  • The Unreveal: Just like Princess Justice and Unmasker, it's unknown how Panic's appearance would've looked like or what her powers would've been.
  • Whole Episode Flashback: The first half of "Derision" is a flashback into Marinette's past triggered by Panic's Akumatization sequence.

    Bugfighter
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bugfighter.png
"Enemy of humanity! Your reign ends here!"

An AI-piloted space plane in despair over the loss of her pilot, determined to avoid harming humans even if it means fighting Ladybug. Her civilian identity is A.D.A., and the Akuma is in her computer core. Total of Akumatizations: multiple Akumatizations (due to repeated uses of Second Chance by Monarch.

  • Breaking Old Trends: She's one of the few villains not to receive a Miraculous power from Monarch. Justified as she can't wear an Alliance Ring.
  • The Computer Is Your Friend: Monarch made her believe that Cosmo Bug's powers make her a threat to the rest of humanity, thus she believes she is saving them by taking away the source of her powers from her.
  • Impeded Communication: Monarch disabling her internal biometric sensors means she cannot detect Claudie, which is what Monarch used to Akumatize her in the first place. It also means Claudie is free to act and Monarch can't act against her without admitting to A.D.A. that she's still alive.
  • Living Lie Detector: To Monarch's disadvantage, Bugfighter can still detect emotions whenever someone is lying to her. This is how she figures out that he's lying about Claudie disappearing which leads to her breaking free from Akumatization.
  • Multiple Reference Pun: While her title of Bugfighter obviously has the immediate interpretation as an on-the-nose name for one fighting against Cosmo Bug, there's also the layered joke of her being like a fighter plane since she's a plane combating Cosmo Bug who is another a flier, and A.D.A.'s belief that she failed to retrieve Claudie like she was supposed to means that A.D.A. would say that she's got a crucial software bug.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Multiple times over thanks to Monarch's Second Chance. Each time however she figures out that Monarch has deceived her and rejects the Megakuma before she goes through with taking away Cosmo Bug's Miraculous.
  • Ray Gun: She has a laser cannon that she uses to destroy Cosmo Bug's yo-yo, preventing her from making a Lucky Charm.
  • Ret-Gone: Due to Monarch's Cataclysm-caused injury worsening with each Second Chance, as well as Bugfighter growing wise to his lies in every loop, Monarch eventually gave up, so Bugfighter never existed in the main timeline.
  • Superior Successor: Invoked. A.D.A. says that she's this to Markov, which implies that Bugfighter is probably this to Robostus as well.
  • Tragic Villain: She's as earnest and helpful as Markov, and the situation inciting her akumatization is trying to fly away to the ends of the universe out of grief and the genuine belief that she must have failed to retrieve Claudie and caused her to be lost in space, indicating she is a danger to human beings. Unfortunately (unbeknownst to her due to Monarch disabling her sensors), even without being akumatized to fight Cosmo Bug, A.D.A. was trying to fly away with Claudie in her jet's cockpit still which would have inevitably led to Claudie's doom.
  • Transforming Mecha: Transforms from a plane form to a humanoid form with a plane head.

    Hoaxer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hoax.png
"Don't worry Marinette, I'm not going to hurt you. That's what your friends are for."

A persuasive fox girl with the ability to brainwash anyone who watches her fake news through their Alliance Rings. Her civilian identity is Lila Rossi, which is also her third unique form. Her Akuma is in her Alliance ring.

  • Animal-Themed Superbeing: Her second fox-themed Akumatized form following Volpina.
  • Compelling Voice: All the "revelations" she tells to the people she brainwashes are Blatant Lies, but because of her powers they all believe her anyway.
  • Costume Evolution: Downplayed. Compared to Volpina, Hoaxer has a palette color of red and black instead of orange and white and doesn't wear a replica of the Fox Miraculous nor possess a flute.
  • Cunning Like a Fox: She has a fox themed persona and is quite devious in manipulating people with her fake news. Additionally, she completely fools Monarch and gains access to his secrets without him even realizing it.
  • Frame-Up: She uses her powers to frame Marinette of being Monarch, Ladybug and Cat Noir of being aliens who want to destroy the ozone layer and Gabriel of being an alien who hid his UFO under the Louvre Museum.
  • Insane Troll Logic: She tells extremely fabricated stories about her targets, such as Marinette transforming into Monarch. With her powers, however, it doesn't matter how insane the stories are.
  • Mass Hypnosis: She's able to hypnotize anyone who watches her videos via Alliance Ring.
  • Master of Illusion: She's given the power of Illusion through her Alliance Ring to instantly create realistic videos of whatever she wants.
  • Not Brainwashed: In order to take revenge against Gabriel for firing her, she pretends to be vulnerable enough for Akumatization so she can kickstart her Batman Gambit and obtain evidence of him being Monarch.
  • Personality Powers: Much like her previous Akuma forms, Volpina and Chameleon, her powers are based around deception and manipulation: using illusions to brainwash people into believing the most outlandish claim and turn them against the people she wants destroyed.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Her Volpina costume is given a red and black color scheme.
  • The Starscream: Her real reason for being Akumatized is for her hidden agenda to gain access to all Gabriel's secrets, so she can pave the way for her plan to overthrow him and steal his Miraculous for herself.
  • Telephone Teleport: She's able to move through the Alliance network and appear from any active Alliance Ring.

    Ms. Sans-Culotte
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sans_culotte.png
"Long live the revolution."

A revolutionary seeking to protect her students from an out-of-control ruler. Her civilian identity is Miss Bustier, her second unique form. Her Akuma is in her gold chain. Total of Akumatizations: 1 complete Akumatization and 1 incomplete Akumatization.

  • Adorable Evil Minions: Ms. Sans-Culottes turns people into balloons with cute emoji-like faces to use as minions.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Her skin has the colors of France's flag: red, white and blue. This also applies to her balloon mooks, who come in one of the three colors.
  • Anti-Villain: Her main goal is to remove André (who's abused his political power time and time again) from office. Notably, the heroes actually agree with her goals; they ultimately defeat her by convincing her to talk things out with André instead of brainwashing people into helping her, and she rejects the Akuma when he gladly agrees to her demands.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: The power of the Pig Miraculous imbued into her guillotine makes all those she hits share the same dream of freedom as her.
  • Breaking Old Trends: She's the first akumatized villain that the heroes have actually managed to talk to without being rejected. Every other villain simply denied peaceful solutions and soldiered on with their evil plans, but once Ladybug and Cat Noir suggest talking things out with the mayor, she's happy to oblige. It helps that Monarch isn't there to encourage her bad behavior, having detransformed as part of his gambit to use the situation to put Chloé in charge after the mayor resigns.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: She is ultimately just a pawn for Gabriel, who uses her to usher Chloé into power as the villain for the next episode.
  • Enemy Mine: The heroes team up with her in order to overthrow André from his position as the Paris' Mayor.
  • Epic Flail: She wields a guillotine blade on the end of a long chain.
  • Forced Transformation: Her guillotine transforms those it hits into sentient, talking balloons.
  • Pregnant Badass: She is pregnant during her Akumatization, yet is an agile and skilled fighter. Justified by the fact that Akumatization grants enhanced physical capabilities to people anyway, and Monarch was kind enough to include an armored stomach plate in the costume.
  • Talking the Monster to Death: Ladybug and Cat Noir convince her to simply talk to Mayor Bourgeois and convince him to do the right thing. As André has independently come to the same conclusion and immediately accepts her demands, she is satisfied and rejects the Akuma on her own.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Her MO involves removing Mayor Bourgeois from office and exposing his corruption for Paris to see. Yet she does this by turning innocent citizens into her balloon army and using violence. To her credit, she is at least willing to hash things out non-violently after Ladybug appeals to her better nature.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Despite her accepting Akumatization to create a just world for her children, she tries to make a balloon out of Zoé for attempting to defend André.

    Queen Mayor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/queen_mayor.png
"Thanks to me, who rid you of those super duds, Paris is going to become super fab again. You'll get to do whatever you want to do and say whatever you want to say."

The dictatorial mayor of Paris who uses her robots to punish all those who oppose her. Her civilian identity is Chloé Bourgeois, making this her seventh unique akumatized form. Her Akuma is in her sash.

  • All Your Powers Combined: The robots have five Miraculous powers through their Alliance tech: Venom, Voyage, Shell-ter, Resistance, and Sublimation (for invisibility).
  • Anti-Magic: The Shell-ter bubbles the robots can fire have been imbued with the power of Resistance, which, as Ladybug and Cat Noir find out the hard way, negates the effects of any superpowers used by whoever is inside them, including Lucky Charm and Cataclysm.
  • Barrier Warrior: The robots have the ability to fire Shell-ter bubbles to trap foes.
  • Blackmail: She threatened Adrien with revealing to Marinette about his father's plans to send him to London unless he became his deputy mayor. However, he rejects her threat, by deciding to tell Marinette the truth himself.
  • Breaking Old Trends:
    • This is Chloé's first akumatized form since Antibug that doesn't have yellow/gold skin.
    • This is the only villain not to receive Miraculous powers through their Alliance Rings, but instead through another form of Alliance tech that's incorporated into the Tsurugi robots.
  • Evil Is Petty: She sent both Tom and Sabine to her "detention" only because they asked her to pay for the choquettes she wanted.
  • Fur and Loathing: Wears a fur-accented coat and is a Corrupt Politician who made a deal with a superpowered terrorist in the name of gaining more power.
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: Her Akumatization causes the normally blue police robots to turn gold, turns her desk to gold, and gives her a gold coat with fur accents.
  • Hidden in Plain Sight: Unlike most akumatized villains, she is physically indistinguishable from a normal human, allowing her to appear in a live interview at Collège Françoise Dupont without the public realizing that the mayor has been akumatized.
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: Or rather her robots, which are used by the revolting Parisians to trap each one of said machines inside impenetrable Shellter bubbles.
  • Invisibility: Sublimation is used to give the robots the ability to turn invisible, allowing them to sneak up on Chloé's enemies and jab them with Venom or capture them in Shell-ter bubbles.
  • Magitek: The police robots are given the ability to wield Miraculous powers through Chloé's akumatization and their Alliance tech.
  • Near-Villain Victory: If not for Ladybug and Cat Noir accessing their adult powers at the last moment, Queen Mayor would've defeated them.
  • No-Sell: The power of Resistance is imbued into the Shell-ter bubbles used by the robots, not only blocking Cat Noir's Cataclysm but causing Ladybug's Lucky Charm to vanish on contact.
  • Not Brainwashed: On Lila's orders, Chloé willingly accepts akumatization to gain more power. Fittingly, she never once uses Monarch's villain name, if only because that would give away the ruse.
  • The Paralyzer: Thanks to the power of the Bee Miraculous received via their Alliance tech, Queen Mayor's robots are able to paralyze people before teleporting them to a special designated jail.
  • Powers Do the Fighting: Invoked. The whole point of her Akumatization is to allow her to use Miraculous powers without seeming to, so her Akumatization doesn't directly give her powers, merely empowering the robots through their Alliance tech. This is also done so Gabriel and Tomoe, who can override her control of the robots, can overthrow her whenever they feel like it.
  • Robot Master: Unlike most akumatized villains, she seemingly has no superpowers of her own, and what makes her a threat is the fact that she has full control of the Tsurugi police robots, which Monarch upgraded with access to a total of five Miraculous powers. She uses them to send anyone who breaks her established laws or opposes her mayorship to her own special jail.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She's the one-time opponent that forces Ladybug and Cat Noir to finally access their adult powers. Also she indirectly enables Cerise to steal Tomoe's laptop, which enables her to infiltrate the Agreste mansion and steal Gabriel's Miraculous.
  • Superpower Lottery: The army of robots controlled by Queen Mayor has access to the powers of the Bee, Turtle, Horse, Ox, and Rooster Miraculous.
  • They Look Just Like Everyone Else!: Monarch doesn't overtly change her appearance beyond giving her a golden, fur-accented coat, preventing the Parisian public from realizing that their mayor has been akumatized.
  • Thinking Up Portals: The robots use Voyage in tandem with Venom to send people to Chloé's "detention", a looping room built on the soccer field that forces everyone to walk endlessly.
  • Villain Teleportation: She can command her robots to use Voyage in order to teleport the paralyzed people into her special jail.
  • We Can Rule Together: When confronted by Adrien, she offers him to be her deputy mayor. However, he refused.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Both Gabriel and Tomoe intended to betray her by deakumatizing her and seizing control of her police robots once she defeated Ladybug and Cat Noir. And when the Parisians revolted against her, both villains fled from the scene, leaving her at their mercy. Cerise also abandoned her once she got her hands in Tomoe's laptop.

    Nightormentor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hideous.png
"My son, if you no longer respect your father's authority, then get ready to face that of the Nightormentor!"

A fear-fabricating fiend seeking to retrieve his wayward son. His civilian identity is Gabriel Agreste, his second akumatized identity, and his akuma is in his blow gun. Total of Akumatizations: 2.

  • All Your Powers Combined: In his second Akumatization, he gives himself the powers of the Horse, Mouse, and Rooster Miraculous through his Alliance Rings.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: His skin is light purple.
  • Blow Gun: His primary weapon, which shoots gas that causes nightmares in whoever it hits.
  • Composite Character: He's basically the Collector with Ephemeral's color scheme and Sandboy's powers.
  • Discard and Draw: Similar to Sole Destroyer, Nightormentor is essentially a Collector redux with an altered powerset, trading his capture ability for nightmare gas.
  • Flight: In "Conformation" he uses the power of the Rooster Miraculous to give himself and his copies the power to fly.
  • Foreshadowing: Creating nightmares seems like an odd power for a villain whose purpose is to find and retrieve a specific person, a task Gabriel's previous form, the Collector, would have been much better suited for. This is because he picked that power for a much grander plan, and retrieving Adrien was just a trial run.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: He wears glasses and is an abusive father and magical terrorist.
  • No Ontological Inertia: Averted. The effects of his gas persist even after he's defeated. Since Ladybug isn't around to cast her Lucky Charm, his victims go uncured. This is important for Gabriel's grand plan, which involves using Nightormentor's gas on a worldwide scale.
  • Not Brainwashed: Like his previous akumatized form, The Collector, Gabriel willingly akumatizes himself in order to chase after his son and afterwards to set in motion his finale plan. He even rejects the akuma himself the second time, as he did when testing his megakumas as the Collector.
  • Palette Swap: He's essentially the Collector with a glowing purple palette.
  • Self-Duplication: In "Conformation" he uses the power of the Mouse Miraculous to self duplicate himself into multiple copies to spread his nightmares to all the people in the world în order to set in motion his finale plan.
  • Supernatural Fear Inducer: Being hit with his fear gas induces terrible nightmares.
  • Super Power Lottery: In his second appearance he's upgraded with the powers of the Horse, Mouse and Rooster Miraculous, which allows him to spread his nightmares throughout the entire world.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Gabriel gives himself the power of the Horse Miraculous through his Alliance Ring before akumatizing himself, which allows him to open up portals and teleport through Paris in search for his son and Marinette.
  • Villain Teleportation: He can use Voyage in order to teleport wherever he wants at will.

    Miraculized
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miracmiraculized.png
"Ladybug! Cat Noir! We'll find you wherever you are, and we will free Kagami and Adrien!"

An army of uber-persistent drones bent on capturing Ladybug and Cat Noir and saving Kagami and Adrien, who they believe have been kidnapped by the heroes. Their civilian identities are nearly everyone who owns an Alliance Ring, as anyone wearing an Alliance Ring who declares "Alliance, Miraculize me!" will become one, and the transformation is maintained by their ring.

  • All Your Powers Combined: They have access to Voyage, Venom, Clout, and Sublimation (for flight).
  • Ambiguous Situation: Although it's reported that Ladybug used her ladybugs to return the Miraculized back to normal, it's never specified if she did that by stopping Tsurugi's machine that made their mass akumatization possible.
  • Anti-Villain: They only want to save Adrien and Kagami, who they’ve been tricked into believing were kidnapped by Ladybug and Cat Noir.
  • The Blank: They have no facial features.
  • Book Ends: The first Miraculized we see transform is Ivan, who was also the first person Gabriel turned into an akumatised supervillain.
  • Breaking Old Trends: These are the first akumatized villains not directly transformed by an Akuma. Instead, Tomoe's technology has somehow replicated the effect, allowing mass transformations worldwide.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: While the transformation has to be accepted willingly, once transformed they are mindlessly driven to capture Ladybug and Cat Noir, or their allies if the duo can't be located.
  • Broken Record: They tend to repeat their lines over and over.
  • Call-Back: Ivan is the first person to become Miraculized just like he was also the first person from the show to get akumatized.
  • Character Catchphrase:
    • “Where are Kagami and Adrien?”
    • “Release them!”
  • Crippling Overspecialization: Sharing the same weakness as Safari, the Miraculized army is given the ability to track down Ladybug and Cat Noir, but only in their superhero forms. They cannot detect Marinette, so de-transforming gives her a minute of respite.
  • Determinator: Nothing will stop them from saving Kagami and Adrien from their “kidnappers”. They’ll search the entire planet and fight anyone who gets in their way.
  • Evil Knockoff: Tomoe's technological akumatization essentially turns the Alliance Rings into quasi-Miraculous, all sharing a specific form and powerset. This even extends to the transformation effect, which looks like a pixellated version of akumatization.
  • Faceless Goons: They all look completely identical.
  • Final Boss: They’re the final akumatized villains created by Gabriel.
  • Flight: They use Sublimation to fly.
  • Gender Bender: All females who join the Miraculized gain a masculine body, though their voices remain the same.
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: Their uniforms have shades of gold and are regarded as some of the greatest villains the Miraculous Team have had to deal with.
  • In a Single Bound: Miraculized Nora is able to leap hundreds of feet into the air before using Clout to break a large building in half. A few other Miraculized also get to Gabriel’s mansion by leaping there.
  • Last of His Kind: With Gabriel's health rapidly failing and him biting the dust at the end of "Re-Creation", the Miraculized are the last akumatized villains created during Gabriel's tenure as the main antagonist.
  • Light Is Not Good: They’re akumatized villains who wear entirely white-and-silver costumes.
  • Malevolent Masked Men: And women. The Miraculized wear helmets and are enemies of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
  • Megaton Punch: Clout allows them to hit with explosive force. Knightowl ends up being punched into a ferris wheel when she's caught off-guard, knocking it loose from its mounting.
  • The Paralyzer: They have access to Venom, allowing them to immobilize anyone who resists them. Not even Lady Dragon can resist their stings en masse.
  • Scarily Competent Tracker: They can track Ladybug and Cat Noir as long as they're transformed.
  • Thinking Up Portals: They have access to Voyage, and they use this power to teleport to anywhere they suspect Ladybug and Cat Noir are hiding.
  • With Us or Against Us: If anyone tries to stop them, the Miraculized will assume that they are an “accomplice” of Ladybug and Cat Noir and fight them.
  • Zerg Rush: There are millions if not billions of them all over the world. They can be defeated by the dozens, but more simply show up to replace the ones who fall.
  • Zombie Gait: Though capable of running and fighting perfectly well, their default posture mimics the classic "hunched-over zombie" walk.

    King of Plastic
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2023_09_13_1.png
"Plastic is fantastic!"

A plastic-skinned plastic manufacturer who, in the face of growing awareness of plastic pollution, wants to show the world the true power of plastic. His civilian identity is Bertrand King. His Akuma is in his pen, which is transformed into a double-ended lance.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: His skin is bubblegum pink.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Plastic is fantastic!"
  • Elemental Hair Composition: His mustache is made of plastic, just like his everything else.
  • Expy: He can be seen as one to Chloé's past villain forms (particularly Queen Wasp and Queen Mayor) as he also uses a royal title and has the Miraculous of the Bee as his main power.
  • Forced Transformation: The non-Venomous end of his lance turns anything it touches into plastic. It's not directly a One-Hit Kill however, as he's never seen using this power against a human he hasn't already paralyzed with Venom. He turns Cat Noir's staff to plastic when Cat Noir blocks his attack, but that's it.
  • Giant Poofy Sleeves: He has this to add to his regal look, but with slits and colored balls that resemble the switches of a multicolor pen.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: As Bertrand King, his company produces many single-use plastic products, and is a major factor in the plastic pollution of the Seine. The same plastic pollution that buried his Akumatized form.
  • Monster of the Aesop: An educational episode concerning plastic pollution has a transformed plastic baron as the villain.
  • The Paralyzer: He is given the power of Venom, which immobilizes anyone he touches with one end of his lance.
  • Plot-Irrelevant Villain: He has no connection to the overall plot of Season 5, being the villain of an environmental message episode that is disconnected from the season as a whole.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Pink and black, but you get the idea. He's a supervillain whose color palette is made of pink and black.
  • Takes One to Kill One: His superpower is to turn people into plastic, and his biggest weakness is anything already made of plastic.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Plastic. A flimsy plastic bag proves an effective shield against his physical attacks, blocking them as if he had as much strength as a sea turtle who ate too much plastic. And being buried under a pile of plastic pollution renders him completely helpless.
