Count Marzo/Marzo Kalif

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_2022_12_19_131731696.png
Played by: John Erwin (80's), Michael Donovan ('02)
  • Adaptational Badass: While Marzo in the original series was no pushover, its hard to take seriously someone who looks like a smug fop that dresses like he's going to a Renaissance fair. Compared to the 2002 version who looks like a demonic, muscle bound Rasputin, who is very much The Dreaded.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Marzo is a powerful wizard. However, his ego makes him much less efficient when working with others like Skeletor.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Marzo (when at full strength) likes to be dressed in black. While wearing a red robe.

Evilseed/Sera Malusto

Played by: John Erwin (80's), Don Brown ('02)
  • Create Your Own Villain: Literally. According to his Classics bio. He was originally created by Moss Man to aid Grayskull during the war with King Hiss and the invading Horde army. Evilseed betrayed his master after realizing he enjoyed corrupting plant life for his own amusement
  • Evil Counterpart: Is one to Moss Man. Flat out stated in the 2002 series when he pretends to be Moss Man until the real deal shows up.
  • Plant Person

Julie Winston & Kevin Corrigan

Only appearing in the 1987 Cannon Films adaptation, they're a pair of Earth teenagers who accidentally stumble upon the Cosmic Key prototype and are dragged into the war between He-Man and Skeletor.

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Kevin manages to recall the exact sequence of buttons on the Cosmic Key to get to Eternia (thinking it's a fancy Japanese synthesizer), and briefly managed to block a tracking signal sent out by Evil-Lyn just by using a microwave.
  • Canon Foreigner: Only appeared in the live-action film, natch. (And they'll likely never get action figures, either.)
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Kevin is subjected to his via some sort of mental manipulation collar courtesy of Evil-Lyn.
  • Human-Focused Adaptation: They eat up a lot of the movie's screen time, and their solo scenes feel like a Teen Drama movie.
  • Invisible Parents: Kevin's parents aren't seen at all.
  • It Sucks to Be the Chosen One: Two normal Earth teens don't like the idea of being chased around and nearly killed just because they happened to find the MacGuffin that everybody wants. Heck, Kevin even tried to refuse the call!
    • And what are they supposed to do afterward? Tell people they saved the universe from a monomaniacal god at the center of the universe in an alternate timeline? Sure, people will believe that.
  • Non-Protagonist Resolver: Kevin fills this function during the Earth scenes, having been the one to figure out how exactly the Cosmic Key worked- but it's up to He-Man and his allies to battle Skeletor and his army.
  • Outside-Context Problem: They're just a couple of normal Earthlings who suddenly stumble into an inter-planetary conflict without warning.
  • Parental Abandonment: Julie's parent's died in a plane crash prior to the movie, and Julie feels guilty because she wasn't with them. At one point, Evil-Lyn manages to trick Julie into giving her the Cosmic Key by appearing as her mother. Thanks to the Cosmic Key and the Sorceress, Julie is able to prevent them from going on that fatal plane crash.
  • Peggy Sue: At the end, Julie gets sent back in time to save her parents.
  • Spanner in the Works: Neither side figured a couple of natives to a planet they'd never heard of would be the key to victory.

Huntara

Played by: Erika Scheimer
  • All There in the Manual: According to her Classics bio, she offers her fighting skills to anyone willing to pay her high prices. (Though due to Silaxian views on good and evil and her actions in her debut episode, she prefers doing jobs for the good guys.)
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Hordak convinced Huntara to fight She-Ra by showing her false videos that made She-Ra and the Great Rebellion look utterly evil.

Lodar

  • Adaptation Origin Connection: An interesting example. His original appearance was a minicomic which was an adaptation of an episode of the TV series "A Tale of Two Cities" (with the villain being Queen Balina), the main difference between both versions is the change of villains. In his Classics bio, he was freed by Balina and her wizard Draca and aid her in upsurping the city from her step-daughter Rana's control.

Plundor the Spoiler

Played by: John Erwin
  • Alternate Company Equivalent: MOTU brand manager, Scott Neitlich said that with them both being space rabbits, he considers Plundor to be a rival to Jaxxon from Star Wars (Marvel 1977). He even had a secret bet with himself to see who would get an action figure first.note
  • Beware the Silly Ones: He looks goofy, being a tall, muscular purple anthropomorphic rabbit, and he also has a rather effeminate voice, but make no mistake, he is a ruthless, cunning enemy.
  • Hair-Raising Hare: An evil bunny warlord who has bent an entire planet to his will.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: The Masters Mondays bio for Space Ace says that Plundor has unsuccessfully attacked Eternia before.

Prahvus

  • Adaptation Origin Connection: In his Classics bio, it was Count Marzo who released him from his magical prison. When he got trapped again, it was the horde that released him.

Shokoti

Played by: Linda Gary
  • All There in the Manual: According to her bio, she is a Gar, the same race as Skeletor's mother and Sy-Klone.
  • The Dreaded: She was the most dangerous sorceress on the dark hemisphere till her fellow Gar imprison her.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: She was imprisoned long ago within a pyramid to contain her evil.

Lord Masque

Played by: Alan Oppenheimer
  • Living Shadow: His Classics bio practically states that he's 'more of a dark shadow than a man'.
  • Evil Mask: His Classics bio states he got his power from the demon mask he wears, which he stole from Eldor.

Celice

Played by: Linda Gary, Erika Scheimer (singing voice)
  • Music Soothes the Savage Beast: Her voice is the only thing that keeps a monstrous creature asleep in the caverns deep beneath a city. Since her song unfortunately can soothe/hypnotize anything, it causes her to become the target of Skeletor and Evil-Lyn, who use her to enchant the Sorceress.
  • Over-the-Shoulder Carry: Trapjaw hauls her off this way.
