Main Character

    Kuugo

Kuugo

"It's been a while.''

Arrives in the village after moving out for 10 Years before returning to meet up with his childhood friend. The protagonist, a Japanese Shiba Inu. His actions are chosen by the player. Kuugo recently moved into the village and started working as a waitstaff at the Lagoon Lounge cafe. He is cheeky, playful, respectful, and has a healthy sense of adventure and curiosity.

  • Childhood Friend Romance: If Sousuke's route is chosen in Irori.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: To every possible love interest.
  • Covert Pervert: Randomly Kuugo's thoughts are all about being into the guys he chooses while thinking erotic stuff about what they could do or himself if the player chooses to go the option toward the sex scene.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Kuugo's name can be changed.
  • Really Gets Around: Throughout all three games, it's possible to score with every single male character in a single run. The sequels even confirm this is canonical, directly referencing Kuugo's experiences with each character from the previous games.
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: A fairly short-"haired" dark-furred Shiba Inu.
  • Seme: Surprisingly, despite being the shortest and least masculine character in the whole cast (barring only Seiya), he'll always top. There have been only three exceptions so far: once in the second game as an apology to Sousuke, once in the third game with Yamato, and once in the remake with Arashi. The three times, he's visibly uncomfortable with being the bottom, though he claims to enjoy bottoming for Arashi in the remake since he even agreed to bottom for Arashi when the latter asked that he'd top Kuugo.
  • Ship Tease: Hell, nearly with every male that's set upon Kuugo's sight.
  • Straight Gay: Everyone in the village assumes he's straight initially... until Kuugo gives Gou a blowjob while cleaning his body during work.

Potential Lovers

    Sousuke Inami

Sousuke Inami

"You haven't changed, have you?"''

A Childhood friend of Kuugo.

  • Berserk Button: Remarking his size, which he takes seriously.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: If his path is chosen in Irori.
  • Easily Forgiven: Given to Kuugo in Yaneura after he finds out that Kuugo was hiding Rai in his house for so long. He actually praises Kuugo for hiding Rai without any leads.
  • First Guy Wins: He is the first that you meet upon arriving at the village.
  • Red Oni: To Gou's Blue Oni.
  • Second Love: If the relationship with Gou counts as first.
  • Ship Tease: With Gou and Kuugo.
  • Straight Gay: Revealed by the end of Himitsuri.
  • Teeny Weenie: Revealed to have this, which he takes VERY seriously.
  • Uke: Sousuke agrees to bottom for Kuugo in the climax of the first game, which is spurred on by the fact that he and Kuugo are childhood friends, which turns Sousuke on even more.

    Gou Sanriku

Gou Sanriku

A young tigerman manager and the chef of the Lagoon Lounge who looks stern but actually has a good personality, though a little strict and used to be in a baseball club during high school. Former lover to Sousuke in the past.

  • Armoured Closet Gay: For all the times he insists he's 100% straight and teases Kuugo about his sexuality, he has no problem whatsoever receiving numerous blowjobs from another man throughout the entire story.
  • Big Beautiful Man: Well, Tiger. Downplayed, though; he is big and well built due being a baseball player during high school.
  • Blue Oni: To Sousuke's Red Oni.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: His dick size excels in length, while losing in thickness against Yuujirou.
  • Hot Men at Work: The manager and only cook for the Lagoon Lounge.
  • Second Love: To Sousuke to be exact but shifts to a third with Kuugo if he's chosen in the 3rd novel.
  • Ship Tease: Were once paired with Sousuke as lovers, but did not do anything further than that. He is rather paired up with Kuugo and Yuujirou.
  • Straight Gay: Only if his route is chosen in the 3rd novel. He once had a girlfriend back in high school, until they broke up. Eventually, he hooks up with Sousuke, but they didn't go far from there and it's Downplayed.
  • The Food Poisoning Incident: Due to children's laxatives added to the bento box Yamato left behind, which Gou eats.
  • The Stoic: His default expression is frowning.
  • Uke: Surprisingly, in the third game, Gou (reluctantly) agrees to bottom for Kuugo after hearing how Kuugo topped Yamato in the second game, much to Gou's surprise. Despite Gou's initial reluctance, he seems to enjoy it as the cutscene goes on.
  • When He Smiles: He's usually seen frowning, but also smiles on special occasions.

    Yuujirou Urushi

Yuujirou Urushi

A co-worker of the Lagoon Lounge who once was previously a baseball player back in the high school club with Gou. Has a massive crush on Yuuri, but she doesn't seem to return the feeling.
  • Bigger Is Better: His body is even larger than Kuugo and Sousuke, despite being younger than either of them. Also reflected by his dick size. His dick is thicker, while shorter in length against Gou.
  • Bisexual Love Triangle: He is shown to have feelings for Yuuri in the first game, but also ends up developing feelings for Kuugo over the course of the series. Of course, he's quite reluctant about his feelings for Kuugo because homosexuality is against Harusu's customs and rules, and so he's afraid of being an outcast because of it. Once Kuugo assures him that he'll keep any relationship between him and Yuujirou a secret at the end of the third game, Yuujirou slowly warms up to the idea and ends up together in a secret relationship with Kuugo along with having a cutscene of his own.
  • Hot Men at Work: The waiter for the Lagoon Lounge.
  • Perpetual Smiler: You rarely see him frowning, except when he is mad or being stern.
  • Second Love: If chosen on his route in Irori.
  • Younger Than They Look: Tall and well built, but is actually younger than Kuugo.

    Yamato Hitofumi

Yamato Hitofumi

Manager and owner of Lagoon Lounge's rival cafe. Gou Sanriku's business competitor.
  • Arc Villain: Gou's main business rival in the first game, originally portrayed as a Fat Bastard. He is the perpetrator of Gou's Food Poisoning Incident, but later undergoes a Heel–Face Turn throughout the process. He Took a Level in Kindness by the second game.
  • Berserk Button: It is shown in the third game that teasing Yamato for being fat really hurts his feelings, such as when he chews out Kuugo teasing that they should find "clothes for fatties" when they're out shopping on holiday.
  • Big Eater: Shown when accompanying Kuugo to the city in the second game.
  • Fat and Skinny: He and Kuugo.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After Kuugo blackmails Yamato into giving him a blowjob, much to Yamato's disgust, he realizes just how risky it was to poison Gou just to sabotage his restaurant and make his café more popular.
  • Hunk: His body posture says it all.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: By the second game, he's much more friendlier to Kuugo and even shares a secret with him; Yamato actually plays with his ass using dildos and the like, and even (reluctantly) agrees to bottom for Kuugo when he asks to top him, though Yamato is shown to actually enjoy it as the cutscene goes on.
  • Uke: Surprisingly, in the second game, Yamato reveals to Kuugo that he enjoys playing with his own ass using dildos and the like, leading Kuugo to slowly ask to top Yamato, much to his reluctance. However, since Yamato enjoys playing with his ass, he gradually enjoys bottoming for Kuugo as the cutscene goes on, even stating that it felt great afterwards with a smile.
    • Seme: However, in the third game, Yamato ends up topping Kuugo as part of their last memory spending time together in the village before Yamato has to move away. Although Kuugo appears to be visibly uncomfortable with it, he doesn't seem to mind at all.
  • You Are Fat: Kuugo sometimes teases these kind of jokes, much to Yamato's chagrin.

    Seiya Inami

Seiya Inami

Sousuke's younger brother. Lives in a school dormitory, and sometimes comes back to Harusu.
  • Adapted Out: In the first game's remake: Lagoon Lounge: The Poisonous Fountain, due to Seiya being underage, his cutscene was replaced by Arashi Hinomoto's own cutscene.
  • Demoted to Extra: Seiya doesn't have any cutscenes in the first game's remake, Lagoon Lounge: The Poisonous Fountain, since he is underage, and so his cutscene is replaced by Arashi Hinomoto's.
  • Precision F-Strike: Once in Irori. He REALLY didn't want to go back to his school dorm.
  • Put on a Bus: Absent during Yaneura.
  • Straight Gay: Revealed during Irori, which is why he doesn't want to go back to his school dorm... because he keeps getting erections in the dorm's bath and is worried his school friends might see it and find out he's gay.
  • The Bus Came Back: Reappears in Irori with an ending of his own.
  • Troll: Only during the first conversation upon meeting him.

    Arashi Hinomoto

Arashi Hinomoto

A new potential lover appearing in the first game's remake: Lagoon Lounge: The Poisonous Fountain. Arashi is a globe-trotting traveler who appears in Harasu Village as the Head Chef for Yamato's Black Cat Café. His cutscene was made to replace Seiya's in the original game due to the latter being underage.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: He ends up having sex with Kuugo when the latter helps him open up with his loneliness issues back at Sousuke's house.
  • Big Beautiful Man: Just like Gou and Rai, Arashi is very big and well built.
  • Hot Men at Work: The head chef for the Black Cat Café.
  • Hunk: Has the same body posture as Yamato. It helps that Arashi also works at Yamato's café as the head chef.
  • If It's You, It's Okay: Arashi reveals that he's bisexual, but he's never had a sexual experience with another man before. Once he and Kuugo end up having sex, Arashi states that he won't be going after any girls for a while, hoping to start a long "friendship" with Kuugo.
  • Nice Guy: Arashi is VERY nice, which he apparently ended up learning from his travels in Fiji.
  • Perpetual Smiler: He almost always has a smile on his face, as his Nice Guy nature would imply.
  • Replacement Goldfish: His cutscene with Kuugo replaces Seiya's in the original game due to the latter being underage.
  • Seme: Surprisingly, despite being younger than Kuugo, he agrees to top Kuugo in the remake, which replaces Seiya's cutscene in the original game. What's even more surprising, is that Kuugo actually enjoys it during the cutscene, even when he usually prefers to top more often.
  • Younger Than They Look: Tall and well built, just like Yuujirou, but is actually younger than Kuugo, much to Kuugo's surprise.

    Rai

Banjou Rai

A mysterious lion that appears in Yaneura no Lagoon/Lagoon Lounge 2 whose past is a mystery upon being founded by Kuugo with heavy luggage within the outskirt of the village. He is a famous national baseball hero that is well known by others that went missing for a while.

  • Because You Were Nice to Me: He ends up revealing his sexuality to Kuugo and even gives him a blowjob as a way of repaying him for his kindness from the start of Yaneura.
  • Big Beautiful Man: Has strong muscles.
  • Manly Gay: You don't find out his sexuality until the attic scene with Gou is over in Sousuke's house.
  • Idle Rich: Being a national hero. Buys a house and builds a hearth in Irori.
  • Troll: Has his moments during some conversations. Mostly with Kuugo.
  • Uke: In the third game, if you choose to pursue him in the Multiple Endings choice, he agrees to power-bottom for Kuugo, which cements their newfound relationship together.
