• Death Is Cheap: Noctus is killed in the season 1 final, and Arthur spends the rest of the next season mourning him. At the end of the season 2 finale, he returns as Cyber-Noctus!
• Heroic Sacrifice: In the season 1 finale.
• Loss of Identity: Noctus is Arthur's character of three years. He loves this character, and has much of his identity—at least in the sphere of LARP—tied up with him. After Noctus's death, Arthur spends most of season 2 trying to get over him. This character arch reaches a conclusion when, with Shane's help, he realizes that the heart of Noctus was himself at his best. At this, he embraces it, and it's awesome.
• Straight Gay: Arthur dates guys, but has no other gay mannerisms.

• Amicable Exes: It takes them most of season 2, but Brittany and Will get here eventually.
• O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In the season 2 finale, Will suddenly gets in character for the first time ever, after Corillia dies.
• Opposites Attract: Brittany is the member of the group the most into the roleplaying aspect of LARP, while Will barely roleplays at all. They dating.

• Pyromaniac: Shane's first action in the party is to burn down the inn to kill incoming legionnaires. She eventually takes down the king by dousing herself with oil and hugging him as she lights herself on fire.
• The Reveal: Throughout season 1, it's clear that something's up with Shane and that she has ulterior motives for participating in the LARP. Season 2 reveals that she's a journalist writing a column about the LARP group's adventures.

Kat

Kat Andras

Played by Amber Goldfarb

• Distracted by the Sexy: Kat has done this twice to Evan: once in the game and once outside of it (while they were playing chess), in order to distract him and win
• Fake Brit: Kat normally speaks with the actress's real Canadian accent, but in game she goes into Lancashire.
• Naïve Newcomer: An enthusiastic newcomer who gets a lot of the finer points of roleplaying explained to her over the course of Season 2.
