The main character. Kirari is a 14 year old beauty who has an obsession of eating which causes her to be clueless in love. She aspires to become an idol after saving a turtle and meeting Seiji, a member of SHIPS, a popular idol group and her prince/love to win his heart and be part of his world. There Kirari faces many obstacles and challenges of being an idol.- Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: With Hiroto later on the series despite being on bad terms at first.
- Betty and Veronica: She's the Archie for Seiji's Betty and Hiroto's Veronica
- Big Eater: She eats usually over 3-4 humongous plates per meal that is usually for 40 people, and even won several eating contests with a high record.
- Cloudcuckoolander: She's clueless and oblivious to almost anything.
- Everything's Better with Sparkles: Almost always seen sparkling hence why her name is Kirari.

- Hollywood Tone-Deaf: At first until she fixes it. It runs in the family.
- Idiot Hair: Matches with her ditziness and her lack of common sense most of the time.
- Idol Singer: Obviously, the story is about her becoming one.
- Innocent Blue Eyes: Shows her innocence
- Lethal Chef: Her cooking is so bad that mushrooms sprout out of it.

- Oblivious to Love: Due to her obsession with eating.
- Plucky Girl: Yes, she has her downs and her struggles but she always gets back up, never gives up and tries to find another way for something or someone.
